Blackberry Kush stretches. I could form a nice bushy structure and the plant reacts well with a lot of flowers which get direct sunshine. It‘s my first grow. This one is the second cannabis plant, popped out of my homemade charcoal compost potting mix. I feed my plants with light homemade fertilizers and water with rainwater 1-2 times per week. The plants love it, like my tomatoes and peppers do and did in the past.

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. BANANA PURPLE PUNCH - 420 fast buds - week 7 Wow what a strain. Got this a freebie with an order I placed and it’s turnt out to be the star of the show. The buds are super dense like Cali strains, super smelly like berries and gas’s and also super purple and pink. WHAT A STRAIN BRO LOL already flushing for 2 weeks as she’s more than mature and ready to go. Haven’t even tasted her yet and defo buying this strain next grow. DRSHOTZUK

she is fine, got rid of spider mites. all the others are strongly infected, mostly mature plants. so i harvested them very early to make the best tea in the village. spidermite tea.lol p.S.: the only way you can infest your plants with spidermites is, you live near a garden or the nature.lol (ordered new equipment, to give the plants a more nature environment.lol)

Day 81 update - as you can see at microscope pictures the buds are near to be ready for the harvest. I will stop watering for the next 24 hours the 2 biggest plants to be harvested at the weekend on days 82-84. The other one i will wait a bit more to madurating proccess.

So far so good, this girl is developing really well. She's heading really well into the final weeks ✌️💪🌿

Tomorrow all the plants will be thinned out, and I will put the two box fans on the right and left of the tent walls against oscillating monky fans on the middle poles, I save space in the middle row that I need. I'm very satisfied so far, let's see if I can find out what the 2 plants have... otherwise I wish you a nice week and stay high 😬😁👌 Oh, on fertilizer days I always pour easy 2L per pot. And spray Madame Grow with Flower Karma every 4 to 7 days, the stuff is great!👌😬

Man, that plant is really taking off. It's finally starting to look just like the good old Gas House Parent. I can almost smell it already. Can't wait to see how much bigger it gets! Day 71 from seed the plant seems to be coming along nicely and flowering stretch has come to a end . I cut some of the lower branches that were carrying some flower because there was no way they were going to develop on time with the higher branches because of lack of light penetration at that lower level and since nothing well happened to those lower branches she can start concentrating her effort and energy on to the higher buds. Flushing begins for the Og kush and blueberry. All three plants are incredibly sticky, stanky, dense and heavy! The OG Kush plants are blowing my mind, I'm amazed at how much they have fattened up the last week. The super lemon haze starts week 7 and is also sticky and stanky, she's also starting to pack on weight and density.

Everything is good, they were a little hungry this week and lost some lower leaves due to mobile deficiency but I did feed twice and problem resolved itself. I plan to defoliate the canopy to some extent this week. Light is at 100% now. Mimozz is smelling sooo good - it's crazy. I love it and can't wait to try some rosin from this strain. On the other hand - Strawberry Cough is not smelling at all. The rest of them are smelling good but nothing special to report :) Till the next week, cheers!

War 10 Tage im Urlaub. Die erste Woche wechselhaft und verregnet, dann 3 heiße, schwüle Tage. Die automatics bauen schön Blüten auf, Apple fritter Auto sind am weitesten, dicht gefolgt von sweet zz Auto, dann creamatic und critical Auto ( die brauch noch minimum 5 Wochen..) Apple fritter Auto vielleicht noch 2 Wochen. Die feminisierten wachsen gesund und verzweigen schön . Es läuft gut. Bis nächste Woche ✌️

Day 70. Gorgeous plant. Leaves are changing color exactly how the advertisement looks. Fastbuds is dope.

Doing gooood. She's small but looks great so far 👌🏻 Smells peppery and sour. Not really frosty but might start knocking some trichomes out these next few weeks. Really happy with all the shogun stuff so far. Noticed a big difference from my previous grows I couldn't be happier 😁 Started on the pk boost this week, Stopped the katana roots and dropped the samurai bloom down. go time for these buds now 👊🏻
