Tag 58: Heute habe ich noch einmal entlaubt, da sie noch immer Blätter und neue Blütenstände produzieren. Die Black Orchid ist etwas gedrungener und "buschiger" gewachsen, während die Jungle Lava für meinen Growstyle perfekte Internodien und insgesamt ein sehr gutes Wuchsverhalten zeigt. Die Wurzeln sind super gesund und gleichmäßig, die Länge und Größe der Blätter passt und das macht das Entlauben sehr angenehm. Im Moment kommt insgesamt eindeutig der OG Kush Geruch sehr dominant durch, aber die Black Orchid hat auch noch eine gute Prise Zitrone an Board. Morgen mach ich mal die ersten Bilder der Trichome und reiche sie dann nach, Licht ist leider gerade aus gegangen. Tag 59: Die Bilder sind da und ich mag sie. Everything’s trucking along nicely so far This week. I cleared out under the first net this week and stripped there bottoms down. Lol I also was forced to do another defoliation up top this week as it was insanely crowded again, 3 days later and it’s gonna need it again to put the top screen on. Crazy foliage on these girls. I had a friend pass away last week so stuff kinda got put on the back burner, shoulda had the top screen on already. They are also so bushy and crowded I had nowhere to train the larger branches coming up in the middle so there are a few popin up over the canopy here and there. Gonna have to remember to flip this strain earlier if I give her a go again. Looks like I got 2 pheno types as well, 3 are bigger and stretched up more and 1 stayed low and is a bushier girl. I think it will all be good in the end though, no big hiccups yet. Cheers💨

Day 65 : officially 1st day of flush . Changed the reservoir with fresh water and 1.2g/5 gallons of Yucca extract and 5ml/gallon of Cleanex from Botanicare . Day 68- I did some defoliate. Few more days until harvest.

This girl is always reaching for the sky no matter the weather and we are happy to say she has gone into bloom. This is the second tallest in the garden and she is setting up quite nicely, she could slow her stretch anytime and we would not complain! There have not been any issues with her beyond the overall battle with the bugs that we seem to be winning again and we think she is fabulous!

Started germination April 3rd, 2022. Soaked for 4 hours in Distilled Water. All 5 sank. Prepared small pots and potted for their first 2-4 weeks before transplanting to their final pot. RH @ about 65%, also have domes on pots to trap more moisture and humidity. Light @ 34 inches. **update 4/5 germinated perfectly and popped up Tuesday night (48 hours). 1 came up with tap roots out of both ends of the seed, re situated and it popped the leaves out, but I’m not sure if she will make it.

Everything going well with this strain no problems and growth is very fast, they bounce back after any defoliation. Day 41 - Gave them a haircut today and a good Biosys tea feed till run of will leave now till start of next week Planning to add a drip irrigation feed system this week to make this a little easier. 🤞 Will update next Sunday now end of week 6 as will be busy adjusting and implementing the irrigation feed.

Week 10 is over, the girl is definitely not the most beautiful in general appearance, but I can safely say that her aroma is one of the most delicious to my nose, it is a really sweet smell, I think she is already counting the last days of her life, although I will try to keep her while she is still green :) Yes, in this growth I probably made a mistake by giving her Advancet Nutriens Macro, and before that she was using Biotabs, Lesson for me - Use only one Manufacturer :) the flowers are full of sticky trichomes :) Good luck to everyone.

Week 13 in the garden, and it's been a week of contemplation and admiration. Despite my initial plan to flip the plants, I decided to give them another week in vegetation. It's like I'm sculpting a masterpiece, carefully grooming the plants into a perfect botanical sculpture. Working with my plants feels like art – it requires skill, love, dedication, and a sense of playing God. As I look at the tent, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and joy. These green beauties are turning out amazing, and I'm filled with overwhelming happiness whenever I get the chance to speak to people about them and show them off. But the time has come to take the next step in their journey. They're being flipped this week for sure, ready to embark on the next chapter of their growth. Alrighty, the fun part’s over—now it’s time to dial things in. The plants seem to have used up the nutrients in the soil and now require a different feeding approach for the flowering stage. But hey, you’ve got to grow to know, and the fix is simple. From now on, I’m fertilizing once a week with BioBizz organic nutrients, following the provided feeding schedule. I’m sticking to the basic components only. I’ve also added some calcium and magnesium, as the lower fan leaves are showing signs of deficiency. Since the plants have become quite bushy, I pruned the lower third over a few sessions—spreading out the stress and avoiding cutting too much at once. Lastly, I’ve set the oscillating fan to medium intensity to prevent stagnant air. The duct fan is now tuned to maintain a VPD between 0.7 and 0.8 kPa.

10 weeks / 70 days old today. Buds are all a bit fatter and a bit frostier this week! They glisten in the light and and are well and truly coated. Noticed a few leaves with brown spots this week and after reading up I decided it could be a calcium deficiency. Gave a cal mag feed and monitored and no more brown spots have appeared. We’re pretty close to the finish line now so not sure I’ve done the right thing or whether I should just let it be. Few more old leaves at the bottom started to yellow so chopped them. Some trichomes are starting to turn milky but majority are still clear. Haven’t bothered with a picture because it’s so hard to get a clear one. Still taking up lots of water and giving 3ml of bloom nutrients in every water. Been reading lots about flushing and I’m not sure whether to do it. Read lots that say if it’s cured properly then there isn’t any difference to the taste. I think half the battle is knowing when to do it. How does a beginner know when you’ve got 2 weeks left?! Been tempted to chop off the popcorn buds and so glad I didn’t. I put some bulbs lower down to give them plenty of light and they’re fattening up pretty well. Bit worried again about the space issue. Lots of new pistils have sprouted and most are around the top buds. Read that it could be foxtailing due to light stress but could also just be buds fattening out and having a last try at pollinating 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows! Overall another exciting week getting closer to the finish. Booked our summer holiday for August and trying to decide whether to start a new grow when these finish. there’s a risk they might not be done in time but I’m desperate to try again and improve on this one. I have well and truly got the grow bug!!

Everything looks really great. Flower has reallt taken hold here at the end of week 5. Ive started my flower hardener (mendocino avalanche) and they really have perked up. Im getting much slower dry out than i woukd like, next time more perlite in my bottom layer for sure. These larger pots (7.5 gallon) really take some dialing in but the plants love them for sure. I habe 6 inches of roots coming out of the bottom of all of them. Ill try to get a picture.

Grow diary 11 stage 6 Day 51-60 This last 9 days she has continued to throw out the pistils. There has been no need to keep the ties on so they have all gone, removed a few leaves here and there. From the topping earlier on in the grow this is roughly the size I was expecting the whole grow to be, or somewhere between the height of this one and the kosher cake. Development wise she is where I would have thought the whole grow would be now.

This week was the harvest of plants. Two turned out big and powerful. One is a short plant with a large central flower. One could stand and bloom for another two weeks, but it is already cold outside and the flowering will slow down. And there is no strength to wait. So I collected. As a result, the wet weight was: "small" - 82 grams, "bag" - 185 grams, "fat top" - 282 grams, "skinny" - 252 grams. I wait 10-14 days until drying in an awning without light and with a carbon filter. Temperature 16 degrees

Onto week 7 Gave them a proper lst as you can see. Think I'm going to put into flower 2morrow and see what the results are doing a 7 week veg instead of a 12 week veg. Going to set the scrog net up and get tucking. Looking lovely and healthy atm Peace
