🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. Hello everyone 😎 Week 7 of flower for the Amnesia Zkittlez🍭 Only 1 plant left then finito✔️ Very nice smell super sweet🤤 The buds are super sticky🔥

Started to really fatten up at this point. Gave a very small dosage of micro grow bloom 3 part fertilizer towards the end of the week and they seem to really take off. Almost lost them in the back of the tent. Have some orange sherbet flowering in the tent that really bushes out :p

**** Week 7 Flower - October 31 to Nov 6, 2020, Days 43 to 49 ********* Sorry again gang......still have lots on the go. This was flush week.......One watering at start of week had Rezin. Flawless Finish given on day 45. Wasn’t going to but they slowed down drinking quite a bit so they are also closer than I expected. They will see week 9 though, unlike Cream 47. Swelling and trichome production has picked up last week and this one👍 Fade is coming but she is not producing the same purple fan leaves as the original seeds phenos🙁 They should lighten up yet though and feed on themselves more since they have another couple of weeks. Sorry gang......busy life and November and holding the same.......will get the weekly details added in here sooner or later........I love this strain and want to put together a nice diary to convince others to give her a try.......she is powerful and grows big!👍 Purples starting to come in the bud........this is the week the leaves should change color but never did. The plants are growing at a good rate now and drinking a litre each per day. I feed them by hand and each plant gets 2litres every other day. Didn't do anything else this week other than install the trellis on the last day. This plant is on the laft in the timelapse video.

i started with LST. unfortunately the plant grew too fast in height, which doesn't make it any easier now. next week i'll try it with twine. maybe i should it just let it grow as it likes.

Gorilla glue is finally finishing up was a finicky one from the start Straw berry pie is getting super frosty not a big fan of the bud structure

I top dressed with a hand of worm castings per pot and noticed first pre-flowers on the Epsilon F1. Super green and healthy girls and slowly a delicious fruity smell is sticking on my hands after touching the leaves.

Hey Leute ich hab bei den Pflanzen Ungeziefer bemerkt kann nur aus der plagron Erde vom Grow Shop sein Trauermücken thripse bei zwei Pflanzen außert sich das Schon negativ die Pflanze sieht kränklich aus gelb Stich von oben nach unten überdüngung ausgeschlossen, hab die Pflanzen mit combo neem behandelt 4 Tage gewartet und wieder behandelt das Pflanzbild der Zustand kann auch davon kommen !!! sobald die Pflanzen sich erholt haben schick ich die endlich in die Blüte

Going strong. Tops are almost there, lowers have a little bit longer. Shooting for a day 90-95 harvest

Been a smooth week for the most part. Started them on some armor si and humic/fulvic acid. I thought the twisted helix had a root issue but after watching the growth there is a genetic issue with this this plant. The branches are growing abnormal and she is not happy. I will probably be switching them to flower at the end of week 4 and I have a sour sorbet that will be making an appearance when I flip them to flower. She has been vegging in a different room for about 6 weeks. I will be doing a little training throughout next week to get them spread out.

So far so good happy with the results, had to give them a nice hair cut. Had some issues with heat inside my tent but I managed to solve it. Feeding them every 24 hours, they are ready for flowering . So exited let's see how things go 😁
