Week 4 of flower and it’s been a week for the books. The males gizzed all over the females and we spent the better part of a week harvesting the males for pollen, then defoliating and spraying the pollinated females, then going full sanitize on the entire tent… (that part always sucks). Either way, they’re off to the seed making and generally showing a brilliant, yet subtle pink across most phenos. Gonna be pretty cool seeing how the colours develop on these👌. The fact that the pinks are prevalent amongst all plants is very encouraging. Still early for sure - but… potential for something special👍. Terp. Profiles are becoming quite pronounced now too. So far, we’ve got one that smells of a very sweet sorta pine in female #3 and a definitive baked berrry scent in female #1. The hope was always to balance out the earthiness of the Kush which is classic to the strain in terms of taste, just not overly tasty. Again, still early but we might’ve achieved that here on crossing🤞👌. All told and as long as we keep ‘em alive to the finish - we should have tons of seed and a well defined set of partially drilled down traits. Counting 3 discernible potential phenos so far and can’t wait to see what the clones reveal🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. The past 5 days she showed heavy deficiencies, Fan leafs started browning hectically. Ontop of that her growth isn't where I would like her to be especially in this stage. So researched , went through alot of podcasts lol.. Decided to purchase bottled nutrients for this run to see how she reacts aswell to tell the difference between organic and bottled nutes...for My own comparison. 5 days later after her first bottled feed...I must say damnnn!! She exploded and even started looking more healthier than when she first started.

Day 37 - Into the beginnings of week 6 and nothing much to speak of right now. I did tie down most of her branches again because they were starting to get pretty lengthy and want to try and keep everything as even as possible. Day 38 - All in all looking good and did a little more LST with her but some of the upper leaves are hanging low and think it’s due to the heat. I’m doing what I can to get it as cool as I can but can’t seem to get it below about 82 when lights are on. Temps are supposed to be cooling down around here in a couple days and hopefully she’ll be better but if not, I might change everything to lights off during the day and on at night. If by the end of this week it’s not cooler, I’ll change the schedule up. Day 39 - All seems to be ok, just trying to beat the heat for hopefully, a few more days. She’s still good on water and won’t probably need any for a few more days. Day 40 - Getting a little worried about this girl, she’s definitely not liking the heat and I’m hoping it’s not screwing her but it is finally cooling down and bit so hopefully she’ll perk back up. She’s finally ready for some water tomorrow but I’ll have to look back at my notes and see if she’s ready for nutes or another plain water. Day 41 - Still not looking all that great but gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today so hoping that maybe that’s all she needs to perk her up. Hoping it’s not too late for her.

7 Diciembre: Se cambiaron las plantas desde la carpa de vegetación(120x120) a la de floración(150x150) en dónde hay más espacio para deshumidificador, ventiladores, etc. Se sigue regando con 6.2pH y 3.0EC. Pronto se agregará una malla scrog. 10 Diciembre: ya hay claros signos de floración, se colocó una primera capa de malla scrog, el riego Generativo va como se planeó, con pequeños runoff llegando a 7EC, esperando subir hasta 10EC, con ese estrés controlado se mantienen las plantas en una altura óptima evitando que estiren mucho. Hasta el día de ayer, las plantas estaban con 5 disparos(riegos) de 200ml cada uno aproximadamente, hasta obtener runoff, hoy sin embargo, habían 2 plantas con "wilting" lo que indica drybacks excesivos, por lo que hoy se agregaron 2 disparos extra, también llamados P1, y 2 mini riegos de 100 ML en la tarde, P2, para evitar el secado excesivo y el decaimiento de las plantas, las cuales están pidiendo más nutrientes. El VPD se mantiene en 1.2~1.4.

Replaced nitrogen with omina, omina has 14.0.0. Stretch almost over, growth almost switched to full flowering. Increasing phosphorous and potassium, beauty of nature is it only takes what it needs. I saw a Japanese beetle on my Lemon Cake and some small holes in the leaves so I added 1/2 tsp neem to the feed solution 6/12. Also started using fish & kelp. I'm still watering 1 gal per plant when I feed 2x/week. With the heat and humidity, I water daily but do not feed daily.
