~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2204 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/29- Here we go into Week Four of Vegetation but I'm somewhat relieved that they haven't started flowering yet as they are only 5" & 6" respectively so some more time to grow is a good thing right now! It's been a month since these pretty ladies popped out of the ground and other than being short, they are both looking perfect! The #1's 4g Gronest pot was heavy when lifted as was the #2's 3g Wraxly pot and they both looked happy, so I skipped watering today and will check them tomorrow morning after the lights come on. Since being topped for the first time a week ago, they both have two new shoots that are emerging and have new growth sprouting out all over with extremely tight node spacing making them definitely Indica dominate, and will most likely result in very short stocky cultivars from this strain which would be ideal for someone with limited grow space. 😎💚 Both of these girls are extremely healthy with excellent vigor and color and I can't wait to see if they get any taller and for them to begin flowering! 🧐💚 12/31- Today was a 'dry day and all I did was refill the humidifier and some canopy maintenance, tucking shade leaves and gently bending branches. It's been a little over four weeks since they were planted in their amended medium and it's time to give their microbes a good feed so they can continue to provide them with all the macro and micro nutrients they need so, yesterday they got a good watering with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water with GreenGro's Veg, Flower, Green Aminos, Natures Brix and Granular Myco added to it @ 1.5 tsp/g and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 73℉. Still no signs of flowering on either tester but I anticipate it will be any day now! 01/02- Yesterday I finally saw signs of flowering on the #1 tester! The #2 is still a no-show but as short as she is it's probably for the best! Today I watered them from the bottom with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g of Earth Juice OilyCann cal-mag to prevent any Cal-Mag issues they may encounter before they arrive. I also have the HLG 650R set 36" above canopy and it's set at 60% power which is being controlled by a Trolmaster HydroX controller. The tent environment is on point with temp's running 70 when the light's off and 74℉ with the light on. I'm keeping the RH at 55-60% right now but will drop it as flowering progresses. Finally, I've been keeping the VPD in the tent running 0.85 - 1.05 which I'm happy with! 01/04- They have both been doing really well getting watered every other day and yesterday they received 0.5g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t Soil Conditioner which was then ph'd to 6.3 @ 72℉. The #1 tester is on her fourth day of flower and looking great! Because she's so bushy and was getting choked with growth, I removed a few shade leaves to open her up and get some light penetration down into her canopy. The #2 tester has yet to show any signs of going into flower which I won't be concerned with unless it persists for another week or so, at which point I'll make a decision on how to deal with her. 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! The plants are thriving in their 4th week of flowering, and I couldn’t be happier with their progress! 🌟 Adjusting the nutrient mix for the coco substrate has really paid off, and both plants are responding beautifully. The trichome production is impressive on both, but interestingly, the plant without LST is slightly ahead in development compared to the LST variant. 🌿💨 The buds are forming nicely, and there’s already a noticeable aroma in the grow space. It’s predominantly sweet, with hints of something deeper starting to come through. 🍭✨ So far, everything is looking on track, and I can’t wait to see how they progress in the coming weeks!💚💚💚

Semana 3 Prefloracion. Día 55(29/08): Segundo día de la 3 semana de floración, entramos con algunas complicaciones, o eso creimos, aparentemente no fue nada grave. Aun asi por el momento no voy a fertilizar con monster bloom. Ya va a tocar. Día 58(01/09): Ayer regue con Melaza, y los mejores resultados de Abby. Me decidi a usar el monster bloom.

Lst went well. She is the smallest girl out of the bunch but excited to she how she holds up. Gave her a top feeding of ecothrive charge for the intense training in the next few weeks. She bounced back from lst the next day and I topped her for the first time on the 5th node. It was a bit daunting as this is my first time topping. Looking forward to the next few weeks with all the girls. Seeing them grow into thick lush women. I am considering scrogging all these girls. It will be my first time doing this so any advice would be really appreciated. Also I will be super cropping them as I have never done that either. You can’t really do many things with autos, apart from watch them and lst. Photos are way more forgiving and I think I will be doing this type of growing from now on. On another note, I will be taking cuttings a week before flipping to 12/12. If anyone has good advice in that department, then I would be very grateful if you can give me any advice. Day 8 11/01/2021- Welcome to another week of veg. Today I started LST. Day 12 11/05/2021- Even though you can’t see she has already began to pre flower can see the white pistil coming out. I think I will switch my light to 12/12 on Monday to have my photo lemon start flowering as well. Day 14 11/07/2021- last day of the week and also last day of Veg.

Bad start of the week or end of last week, not sure.. The middle cob led died so had to order some new lights. Also having a lot of issue's with fungus gnats. The fly traps are packed :/ Update: Fugnus gnats are getting a big problem. Guess it is because of the pots. Hung some sticky traps and ordered nematodes. Update; nematodes arrived and have been added to the pots. Also gave them another feeding. New equipment has arrived so will probably install tomorrow Update: new grow room installed! they seem to like their new home.

Week 6........... Getting frosty Edit: on day 41,I already have amber but it's still packing on weight. I don't know what to do at this point.

The girls survived. Always the biggest stress in the beginning. Getting sprayed with water twice a day. Gonna do the first watering soon. Hoping for growth!

Day 14 time for transplantation 🤗 first time with auto, but F1 should be resistant💪

I have been watering Just with water for 1 week.The flowers mature well becoming very compact I hope the weather won't be too wet for the last week of cultivation. Apparently rain is coming for the end of the week..let See😎

Well it’s been 2 weeks now and the girls are doing nicely, they have been lightly fed twice a day and have outgrown their Solo cups. I flushed the Coco 3 times to a reading of 10ppm out the bottom. It took 2.5 gallons of pH’d RO water.. I transferred them to 5.7 litre smart pots tonight and gave them about 500ml of nutes. I also prepped the CoCo with Myko before transplanting. So far I’m liking the CoCo and so are the girls. Wish me luck on this grow. Any comments and suggestions welcome.

The end is near ! The buds are developping quite well - i don't overfeed them so i don't expect are spectacular grow, but they are doinf very nicely on their level. They still drink a lot and get wider with each new day. 🙌

Week 7 - Oh Mehn There’s So Much To Say About These Girls, I’ll Start With The Purple Power, It Is Ready To Be Harvest Anyday Now But I’m Looking To Push It To Week 8, It Has A Strong Aroma Of Sweet Berries. The Stardawg And Girls Scout Cookies (3gal) Are Putting On Some Dense Nuggets I Like How They’re All Looking Identical That’s A Good Sign. The Stardawg Has A Lemon But Earthy Scent And The 3gal Girls Scout Cookies Smells Like A Citrus Lemon With A Hint Of Pine, The Buds Are So Hard And Sticky Mehn I Cant’t Wait To Taste These Girls. The Other Don’t Have A Scent And The Gorilla Glue Having Start To Flower Yet Probably Gonna Steal The Show In The End! And I Would Like For MSNL To Acknowledge I Grew There Auto Lemon OG Up To A 100cm Be Sure To Like My Grow Diary. WEEK 8 (04/18/2021 - 04/24/2021) Day 59: 04/18/2021 Defoliated some growth from each plant before I installed my custom-built SCRoG net made of: pvc piping, drywall screws, and jute twine for the netting. It’s slightly smaller than the tent, 41”x41” with a second level for another net. It fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room to work around the edges and move the fan around if needed. Immediately after defoliation and installing the net, I watered using ½ strength Botanicare Hydroguard. Watering was different. I used a battery-powered liquid transfer pump to help water the plants a little faster and more efficiently. Also helps to reach the plants I can’t access as easily in the corner. I am unable to test/collect any of the runoff at the moment since installing the net, which wouldn’t be an issue by itself, but my saucers are just barely large enough to fit the base of the 5 gallon pots into. I have no way of sticking a pH pen or TDS meter in the runoff. They simply won't fit between the pot and the saucer. This is extremely unfortunate, as I am now unable to monitor the ppm of the soil with each watering. Will have to pick up some larger saucers soon or think of another solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61: 04/20/2021 ‘Tis the season to be medicated. Happy Holidaze! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62: 04/21/2021 Upping the amount of water going into the pots this watering. Previously I was doing 1 gallon of water per 5 gallon pot. I’m increasing the amount of water to 1.5 gallons. Hopefully that will produce enough runoff for taking measurements. It’s going to be a painfully difficult task to take readings but I really need to know what the condition of the soil is right now. Will not be using any nutrients this time considering the runoff was kind of high when I fed on 4/10. This seems a little risky though since it has been 11 days since a nutrient feed, but I’d rather not burn the plants by blindly adding nutrients. Will return. Hopefully with measurements. (some amount of time later) Tap water: 245ppm, 6.1 pH (9 gallons) pH Down: 30ml JB#1 - 2730ppm, 7.0 pH JB#2 - 2290ppm, (pH pen died again on this plant) AP#1 - 2380ppm, 6.9 pH AP#2 - 3610ppm (seems extremely high), 7.0 pH GC#1 - 2320ppm, 6.9 pH GC#2 - 2340ppm, 7.1 pH I don’t know what was up with the measurements on the AP#2. The saucers the pots are sitting in are a little small so I think the ppm might have been reading high because the bottom of the fabric pot was sitting in the runoff. Maybe I’m just saying that to reassure myself. Either way, the 3000+ ppm seemed very off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66: 04/24/2021 Defoliation + weaving/securing branches through SCRoG. I'm not 100% sure that the SCRoG was the most optimal technique of choice given the very limited space within the grow tent. Also, I almost feel like I installed the screen a little late. Maybe not? Either way, I have read about them and the potential of increased yields, which got me excited enough to build one to try out for myself. I was aware going into it that there would be some difficulties using a SCRoG. I can no longer move my pots around is the main thing. Not being able to move the pots around has increased the difficulty factor of watering/feeding. I now have to access 3 different sides of the tent to get all 6 plants. I've clipped all the ties holding the branches down from previous LST sessions. There was just no way I was going to spend hours weaving in and out of all the ties trying to water each plant while also dealing with the difficulties of a SCRoG obstructing the work space. That would also wreck my poor back. From here, things are going to get real exciting. Tomorrow (04/25) I am rescheduling the light cycle to 12/12 to initiate flowering. Another 60-70 days to go, growing buds and packing on trichomes. With that said, I'm excited to have made it through my very first full vegetative cycle. I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes, as expected, but as long as I keep learning from them future harvest will only continue to increase in quality and yield.
