Boy oh boy, the final day of the first Medusa F1 Hybrid 1/5. Seed to harvest in 93 days. The first medusa F1 grew super fast. Her vegetative period was very short, showing white pistils at day 18 already, but grew into a beautiful lady. The first medusa was only subjected to LST and a little defoliation. The other Medusa plants from my diary (2/5 and 4/5),were topped and this definitely increased the amount of flower sites. Nevertheless, she grew thick and fat with heavy buds smelling like a sweet petrol station. The pistils turn bright orange and many calyxes are formed with hardly any leaves in between. I noticed after week 11 she started producing new calyxis with white pistils and therefore I waited a bit longer. I would recommend this and wait a bit longer to see if it happens for you too. Some trichomes were starting to turn amber and I maybe could have waited a little longer, also for the lower part to develop more. She was cut down on the 18th of July and was placed in my dark dry tent for 13 days at a temperature of 18 °C and a humidity of 60%. A long and slow dry is important to preserve terpenes. After 13 days, on the 31st of July, the branches were making a cracking sound when bending, so I decided to take the branches out of the drying tent and trim them. My 4 x 200W lights (on the box) only pull 50W from the wall so I think they are not super good. I made pictures with a Nikon camera and a white background. I smoked some and she tastes peppery with a sweet aftertaste. I will smoke more after a good long cure for at least 2-4 weeks in my jars. Check the progress of my other medusa F1 diaries and see the full experiment if topping is beneficial for these F1's. I would recommend trying out these amazing genetics and see for yourself. Great job Royal Queen Seeds for breeding these cultivars.

Día 36. Estamos en 6ta semana. Los esquejes se atrasaron debido a que han sido días muy fríos y no he logrado enraizarlos. Decidí poner el extractor de aire junto con la bomba de aire, así solamente se prende 15 minutos cada hora. Así estoy logrando temperaturas mayores a 24°C en el indoor y así voy a lograr el enraizado. La planta ya tiene un tamaño que ocupa casi todo el indoor. Pero lo importante es que la voy guiando y ya estoy proyectando como va a ir cada rama. El tamaño va a exceder lo que esperaba, pero aún así creo que si logro lo que tengo en mente, voy a sacar muy buenos resultados. Igual no me voy a arriesgar demasiado, así que si contando 10 días desde ahora, no logro que los esquejes enraicen, voy a pasar la madre a floración sola. Cómo pueden ver, las ramas están bastante gruesas, y el la ramificaciones van ganando su lugar cada una. Las raíces son demasiado grandes, aunque sé que voy a poder poner la planta en el sistema de arriba igual, aunque me voy a tener que ayudar de algo para meterlas. Es importante no utilizar las manos, ya que se pueden transmitir muchos hongos. Voy a seguir actualizando e ir viendo que pasa. Pero ya estamos en los últimos días de crecimiento, haya o no esquejes. Incluso puede que ya pase la planta al indoor de arriba para darle mayor libertad de crecimiento. Esto me va a servir para tlmar en cuenta en la próxima camada que se vendrá. La idea de esto es hacer las cosas rápido, y no en gran tamaño. Pero siendo que ya estoy en el baile, no me queda otra que bailar. Día 40 Los esquejes no estaban enraizando, así que decidí cambiarlos de lugar y los puse arriba de la luz, donde les da calor y luz tenue. Espero que ahora si agarren. Y hoy fue el gran día, pasé la planta madre al módulo de arriba. Pero lo voy a dejar una semana más creciendo. De esa forma veo si los esquejes llegan a agarrar a tiempo. Y además tuve un problema en el trasplante. Primero que la planta se hizo más grande que lo esperado, y la raíz también. Cuando la pasé, hubo contacto de la raiz con prácticamente todo lo que había cerca. Sumado a que se enredó en el oxigenador, así que quedó una pidra difusora en la raíz. Dado el alto riesgo de haberla contaminado con algún hongo, le puse una solución de agua con agua oxigenada, recirculando continuamente, para lavar las raices y de paso bajar el stress de teansplante. Mañana veremos cómo arranca el día. En el aprendizaje me llevo que en la madre, es mejor hacer un corte en el primer nudo, o dejar las ramas del segundo y quitar las del primero. Y así que queden sólo dos ramas, para luego dejar a los esquejes en el medio. Eso planeo hacer con la próxima variedad. Entre tanto ahora sólo me preocupa que la raíz no se haya contaminado en el traspaso. Ya en 8 días estaré pasando a floración si no hay esquejes. Si llegan a agarrar, habrá que dar unos días de crecimiento hasta que alcancen a la madre en altura. Pero ya está todo en definición. Ahora sólo queda esperar y seguir guiando a la planta. Ya tengo ganas de poner la próxima, pero falta bastante para eso. Tengo 10 semanas de flora, así que recién en 5 semanas voy a poner la nueva madre.

GMO (Garlic mushroom onion) was slow to flower but came on strong weeks 8 and 9 to produce some dense heavy sticky buds. The dry weight of the plant material is unsure, but I’ll report the weight of various bubble microns when dry. Pictures of the dry bubble and maybe a melt shot impending! To dry, I decided to microplane into pizza boxes lined with parchment. It’s been fun growing along with everyone on grow diaries. Awesome

From root pruning to lollipopped with a touch of defoliation, and lst. Nothing else to report at the moment. 7/11 It's pouring. We got like 2 in of rain. I compared the flowering with that of the mendo breath I grew in a previous journal and they are real close. Tjat was DONE DONE in September. Judging by the small preflowers they are going to be ready approximately around the same time. I think I'm going to have a middle September harvest with some and some will go to October. Realistically, I should've changed this to flower. I like to call it "the stretch" though. Plants are stretching like a mother fucker. Seems like the less I fuck with them the better they do! No nutes yet. I'm going on vacation for a week and I think I won't feed before I leave either. Plants don't look like they are lacking in anything. Just because I have tons of nutes doesn't mean I need to use them. Still need to put up the secondary supports for flower. Went over after a break in the rain. Went through each plant one by one. Most had leaves that were either turning yellow or yellow at the bottom interior. I only removed leaves that were dead or dieing. I should probably have degoliated more but I'm doing the KISS method this year. Things seem to be doing good that way. Some minor pests. I found a slug but put out slug bait for those and earwigs. Noticed a few white flies and multi color flies (probably fungus knats but they are up at the top, not down by the soil. I'm going to think about it and do some research. Damage is so MINIMAL and pests are MINIMAL that im holding off spraying. I mat start nutes tomorrow though. I'm uncertain on a lot of things. I need to meditate on it. Just because those interior leaves died the plants are still a LUSH dark green so I think they're alright. It's going really good but I'm going to be on vacation for a week. I can still monitor daily with my camera's and my family that is watching them will FaceTime me every morning and show me what's going on. They know what they're doing and if something arises I have BASICALLY a growers union in my town. All family. We look after each other. That's the only reason I considered even going. However, the event horizons, sherb pie, toasted toffy and AT LEAST 1 GMO "LOOK" like they will be flowering early. Like I said they look similar to a mendo breath pheno on another diary that finished in September. We shall see. I'm excited that's for sure! 7/12 So far no rain! Super hot and muggy. Killed a jpn beetle and a moth larvae this morning and another beetle this afternoon. I'm seeing SOME pest damage which makes me want to spray before some of these plants take off flowering. There isn't much damage and tje birds sit on the top just WAITING for a chance to swoop in and grab something. I've seen tons of wasps tjis year. I killed a snail yesterday and put out slug bait around my pallets. I'm leaving early tomorrow. I'm CONSIDERING doing an application of Cap'n Jack's before I leave. I'm not sure. I made little DIY videos for dad and I hope he follows them. If not I'll have another grower come help. With all the rain I noticed some white flies when I shook a couple plants. I don't have time to really deal with it right now. There were only a few and I think spinosad would kill those too. Either way it will be fine. I can monitor via camera. I can even hit an alarm that goes to four different people. Still. I don't like leaving my girls. Especially in this heat. 7/13 Left early for a short vacation. Just got a picture saying it's sunny there and my plants are doing good. I'm lucky to havecthe crew that I do. I'm sure if I asked they'd put up yellow sticky traps. That's something I may consider. 7/14 Dad said it Rained last night and driving down here it was just PURE SHEET RAIN. He sent me pics I uploaded and everything looks GREAT! gonna get sun after all that rain and wind. They are gonna explode! 7/15 Still on Vacation. Dad showed me the plants and said they looked a little dry so I had him use the 4 GALLONS OF WATER I HAD PREMIXED FOR HIM TO WATER THE GARDEN. This way each plant gets a half gallon. It's supposed to be in the 90's with no rain tonight. Rains euppised to come tomorrow but I've seen how fast a bag can dry out in ONE day with super hot weather and high winds. The wind blows through the bag drying the medium out. Dad's right. Things do look amazing. I'm having fun but it will be nice to get back and see if I was right and those few plants are trying to flower. Looks just like those two mendo phenomes that flowered early. 7/16 still on vacation. Got a nice rain for the plants. Not much though. 7/17 Had DAD WATER FOUR GALLONS ON THE GARDEN. ANOTHER HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT. I really miss my girls. I'm ready to get going and start doing the things that need to be done. Few more days and I'll be home with my pretty ladies. Last time I came back to nice little flowers. They looked about in the same stage when I left. I love early finishers. They're stretching thsts for sure.

Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. Going to let it ride until morning! Please feel better! [END OF WEEK 02]

Day 53 Harvest in 18-20 days Day 58 Start flush Harvest in 12 days

The nutrient measurements are for week 7 this week they just got PH water at 2 liters. She’s a beautiful plant!!! Her colors are amazing!!! The inner part of the flower is like a deep blackberry color and the inner parts of the sugar leaves are as well. Amazing plant!!! I have 2 more beans of her and want to do one in a 5 gallon and see how she does just don’t have the space at the minute. She will get one more feeding in 3 days time and then on to her flush.

She is growing nice, the buds are getting fat, apparently i was expecting gorilla cookies to be the winner at the size of the buds until now, apparently i was wrong, amnezia has bigger buds than gorilla at this stage :) we will see who is going to be the winner... who you think is going to win?

Didn't bother with the defoliation this week....maybe this upcoming week let's see how she takes to the food first😎

The Gorilla Gas F1 Fast has stretched an inch everyday so far in the first week. I was measuring everyday at 4:20 pm. I measured early today, I'm sure it'll grow half an inch again by 420. These ladies are stretching a lot so far. I fed the plants this morning with recharge and a little worm castings. My clones have been growing successfully as well. I have 2 clones of Pheno 1 and 2 clones of Pheno 2. The plant I accidentally broke in half has 4 colas now reaching for the light. The plant is smaller so I raised it so the canopy will be almost even. Watching football this morning. My outdoor plants are doing well too. I am growing regular seeds outdoors now. I have found 1 male plant, which is the largest plant outside.

7/13 It's maine-ing out. Overcast and misting. I guess it rained last night but not much. Today is my watering day although I think they could've made it until tomorrow. These drastic temp changes makes it hard to get a STEADY routine in place. I watered everything in the 20's a gallon the 10's 1/2 gallon. The 10th planet in the front was still heavy so I didn't water it. I'll keep an eye on it. Temps are much milder. I noticed a few more septoria leaves on the 10th planet which I promptly defoliated. This pheno is flowering. I could've put this week as flowering as several plants have started. I also saw ONE leaf on my chem dog that had septoria on it. ONE f-ing leaf! I was planning on treating this early anyway so I mixed one gallon of plant doctor 3 tsp gallon/gallon which was the recommendation. I'll monitor this plant and continue treating it the next two weeks. I may do foliar too but the mixture is different. It's a systemic so I don't think that matters as much. Considering getting mulch to protect from spores on the soil. My plants look GORGEOUS. I Hate to use such a nice plant as a guennie pig but I'm not going to sit here and watch it progress. I'm lucky it's really not that bad and that it's on a reveg. There's so many leaves that I would be forced to prune anyway. I'm seeing two MAYBE three leaves a morning but I want to get this under control. Last year u let a plant with septoria go and it finished but went to extracts. I've got a pretty good feeling about this plant doctor. I've used it before with good results. Only time will tell though.🤞 EDIT: WENT OVER AT ABOUT 1PM. ITS 2 NOW AND BLUE SKIES AND SUNNY. IM SUPER GLAD I WATERED AND EVEN MORE SO THAT I APPLIED THE PLANT DOCTOR HOW I DID. THE GIRLS ALL LOOKED AMAZING. THE TENTH PLANET I TREATED WITH PLANT DOCTOR LOOKS THE BEST IVE EVER SEEN IT. I FOUND ON LEAVE DEEP ON THE INTERIOR WITJ A SMALL SPOT BUT ITS SOMETHING IM SURE I MISSED THIS MORNING. IF THIS WORKS THIS GOOD ILL BE APPLYING IT TO EVERYTHING EVEN IF ITS JUST PREVENTATIVE. 7/14 Rained last night andcwas still sprinkling when I went over. Amazingly the 10th planet that I treated with the plant doctorcmix had ZERO visible signs of septoria. I did find one leaf on Mt chem dog and two on my mk ultra with the big leaves. It could've been calcium deficiency but I really doubt it because I think I saw THAT as well. I'm going to wait a day or two and if there are still no negative results and the plant is still looking good I'm going to treat AT LEAST the two others that MAY be infected. It's a systemic and can be used proactively and supposably breaks down into p and k after stimulating immune response. I'll monitor a little longer but as it stands I think I'm going to treat the other two just in case. I also need to start feeding. I've watered a lot more than I normally do so obviously the soil won't last as long. This has been some tricky weather but I'm happy with how things are progressing. I probably should've changed this to the first week of flower as several plants are popping pistols everywhere. EDIT: WENT OVER AROUND NOON AND MIXED UP TEO GALLONS OF PLANT DOCTOR PLANNING TO TREAT THE TWO PLANTS BESIDE THE 10TH PLANET. EVERYTHING LOOKED SO PERFECT AND TOMORROW IS MY WATER DAY SO I DECIDED TO HOLD OFF AND APPLY IT WHEN IT NEEDS WATER ANYWAY.
