These big bad buds keep swelling day by day. Just went under 12 hours today. One branch broke partly off, fixed and wired it up.. hoping not to get strong winds.. still thinking about some kind of transparent rain cover.. any ideas? If i had had more space and time, the plants could have been trained so much better! I also feel like i made a pretty good environment, with the good soil and perlite, and the kelp meal and basalt flour - and additional nutrients. I read that organic nutes give better taste and terpenes, and chemical give higher potency. So I’m hoping for the best of both worlds with these buds..

So I’ve pretty much done everything that I said I wasn’t going to do. Started the week out with a light defoliation and mid week I started the LST which she responded very well too. Twice a day I’m checking the pH and adjusting the straps. I’m now at full strength with her nutes and she has yet to show any deficiencies. Lastly she has shown some flowering signs 🙌🏼 this next month should be fun.

Welcome back everyone, As you can see are almost all seedlings growing. Some where still in the soil. Might happend when giving water(seedlings can turn or get deeper), checked it out and they are alive and well. All pictures are from day 4. The humidifier had been added, so I had to adjust the room. I spotted a corner of the room that gets dryer faster. I adjust the fan for now and see what happens. Corners are always hard to get perfect. Sometimes the light, air, watering doesn't come there properly. Seedlings don't need much nutrients, neighter do autoflowers. with normal soil I would recommend to only give water for 1-2 weeks, since it holds nutrients in it as well. But since I'm using Cocos for this grow, I might have to add some basic nutrients in the upcomming week. For this week I gave/give only water turns and Startbooster/rhyzotonic turns. Update day 5: - Lowerd the lights to avoid stretching, they are now at 75cm distance from lamp to pots. I want them at 40-50 cm, but I don't want to rush it. - Added another layer of cocos to avoid the soil from drying up therefore the roots from dying. This will happen because of lowering the lamps down, the soil will get exposed more to heat. As you can see, the humidifier is doing his thing haha. Pictures and videos where taken without the lights + fans on. because of that, it will look like this. Still fun thought. left the girls to settle into their new environment. Have been watering every 4 days or so, not much rain this week. Plants are looking good and showing some signs of leaf growth which means the roots have already branched out. Chitosal as a root drench is supposed to help with drought tolerance and salt stress, no salt stress here as we are organic. Next week things to do: 1) spread and re-stake plants. 2) create a top amendment feeding and watering bowl under each plant with some chicken wire.

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. Welcome to my diary of the Misty Gorlla by Zambeza seeds looking nice, popped of the soil, i noticed it today and took some pictures This strain won the first prize in the Higtimes cup in 2015 for section: Hybrid so that sounds very promising i'm using re-used soil for this one, so i can add some guano at proper level on clean soil.

As week 2 comes to an end 4 of the 5 have shown great growth 1 is behind (#5) but it also has a mutation and has a few 4 leafers on it. #3 is shorter and has wider leaves.

Very good week. The plant has grown up well, I keep doing the LST and it gave me 4 new tops, unfortunately I broke one. There are some yellow tips on the new leaves, I don't know why, maybe heat stress or some nutrient deficiency, so I gave the girl bio grow for the first time, 0.1 ml per 1L for start. Got some better shots without light and a little video my cam is a bit shit got a video of trichs also in there girls seem to be flushing well started flushing the quick one later than the others as wasn't as developed. Took the 2 tester buds of very bottom under the plants on the first day of flush to try estimate how long to flush for........last pic and vid before harvest next uploads will be harvest hopefully
