Bonjour à tous les padawans et maîtres jedis stretch 15 centimètres (Stretch explanations more) EXPOSURE TO LIGHT One of the main culprits in abnormal stretching of cannabis plants is the lack of light. Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. En esta semana se bajaron los niveles de ph y ppm. De 6.5 de ph bajamos a 6.2,6.3 Y las ppm de 700 la llevamos a 1080. Se aumento la dosis de las bases de 2 ml/L a 3ml/L. Se realizaron todos estos cambios para mejorar la calidad de las hojas, las puntas están con un color amarillo, y no se si es algún exceso o carencia a causa de la calidad del agua. Pero en términos generales esta muy bien la primer semana de floracion,quedan muchas semanas más por delante.

Anfang der Woche wurden alle Hauptriebe runtergebogen. 3 Pflanzen sind aber zu robust und der Hauptrieb zu dominant. Also darf er frei wachsen. Nochmal will ich sie nach BW2 nicht trainieren. läuft gut. ich bin zufrieden

Woche 9 und auf einmal waren es nur noch 3 Pflanzen. Viel zu spät haben wir erkannt wo das Problem der einen Weddingcheesecake lag, durch den extremen Stress und der massiven Überdüngung (volles BioBizz Light Schema) hat die Pflanze sich zum Hemaphodite entwickelt... RIP Holy

BEST GROW YET! I'm so pleased with these baby girls! They are everything you could ask out of an auto! I'm really really happy with this round of plants! They are getting VERY stinky and sparkly! Installed my new flood to drain table so now hopefully this will be EVERY grow from here on out! SUPA PLANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grow Diary – Day 88 (Flowering Day 68) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Nutrients: Green House Feeding Bio Line – finished Lighting: LED at 50% (final phase) Date: June 8 Status: Harvest Day After 68 days of flowering and 88 days total, the Sour Frootz have reached full maturity. Today marked harvest day. Trichome Check: A final inspection confirmed the ideal moment—mostly cloudy trichomes with 10% amber, delivering the perfect mix of potency, flavor, and effect for me. Buds are fully resinous, and carry an intensely rich aroma: sour fruit, citrus, and that underlying gassy funk Sour Frootz is known for. Harvest Process: • Whole-plant harvested • Plants were cut at the base, intact, and hung upside down • Leaves were left on for a slow dry to protect terpene profile and promote even moisture loss • Drying environment set to ~17–19 °C with 50–60% RH • Complete darkness and steady airflow maintained This method should allow for a 7–14 day dry, depending on bud density and ambient conditions. After drying, a slow cure in jars will follow to fully develop smoothness, flavor, and complexity. Final Notes: • No signs of mold, pests, or stress at harvest • Natural fade complete; plants finished cleanly after flush • Aroma at harvest is deep and terpene-rich • Resin content is heavy – scissors and gloves were coated during harvest Next Steps: Drying will be monitored daily. Was a great week overall in the tent. The girls are looking great at this point. They get water every day or two. I'm supposed water daily but you know how busy life is. So hoping to install the self watering pots after lollipopping and defoliating later this week. My issue is with my light schedule due to my timer. The timer seems to be off and I'm worried that's gonna mess up the girls. I say this cause the light schedule doesn't match day after day. Its my timer and gonna have to replace that one with a digital one.

Ok Blue toof is really doing great. She smells of sweet fruit, it is a very nice smell. Raised ppm to 680 she was fine at 600. Defoleated all the bottom. She sure showing her indica traits. The leaves are nice and fat. Her stem has gotten nice and fat also. It is the biggest of the bunch. I really like the shape and branches are also nice and fat. Hung the second light. So let the show go on.

I also gave her pot a 1/4 turn. 9/29- Yesterday I didn't water her, only turned her pot and checked her over... Wow! She's really ramping up the trichomes making her flowers look like their sugar coated! 🤩 I watered her today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water with 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses added which was then ph'd to 6.4 @ 72℉, The molasses will give the microbial colony some additional food as well as supplying micro-nutrients to the plant. I finished out the daily maintenance giving her a check over and turning her pot 1/4 turn to ensure she gets light to every inch of her. 10/1- Yesterday was a 'no water' day as her pot was still fairly heavy to lift. Today she was watered with her usual of 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 72℉. Her flowering continues to impress me with her trichome production covering her flowers with 'frost' she's a sight for sore eye's! 😍 The end of next week will be the beginning of her wrapping up with the 'Finish Line' approaching by Week 9 or 10! 10/3- With Week Seven coming to a close we're going into the last 2-3 weeks for this lady and she's right on track, looking like a Rock Star! 🤩 I watered heavy yesterday and added 1 tsp/g of Unsulfured Molasses to the 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉. Her pot had some weight to it when I checked today so I'll skip watering her until tomorrow. I finished up today by checking her over and giving her pot a turn. ~Thanks for stopping in!
