Week 21/1 - 27/1

There are some things that still amaze me, one of these is the huge autoflowering that I can do lately. Today I harvested the second Green Crack F1 Hybrid Automatic by Zamnesia. ** Remember that for all strains we have at least two plants, one left to grow straight and one worked with the techniques (go back in the week too see). Technique Used // In this case we let the plant grow straight and it seems to have worked great. I think thanks to the Plagron additives we had powerful and fast growth very voracious in everything in fact it was very difficult to keep it in balance and not send it into over. Better with the techniques or normal? This time I have no doubts, even if this wonderful one had the grace of a slightly less cold vegetative there is no comparison it is a marvel of nature queata without the use of techniques but with a wise cleaning at the bottom to have only flowers of great quality. Zero popcorn totally. Flower quality // The plant has resined very well everywhere and unlike some autoflowering plants that fail to consolidate the flower here we have pure Carrara marble. A flower of this quality is truly a pleasure to see, touch, smell, feel. Exceptional. The trichomes are mostly milky, some transparent and some amber. Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

I made a lot of mistakes till now, but at least i tried her to recover and she goes for it. I hope she will give some nice fruits when shes ready. Have a nice week ✌️✌️

She’s been a bit fussy, with some color draining from a few leaves. But she’s been just a bit fussy the whole time. It looks like I’ll be getting more color change this round.

Flush week

There I was. Talking on another forum to what I consider to be a true aficionado and master green thumb. Explaining that I had a staggered set in my tent. He told me to ease into the beastie bloomz 0-50-30 with 1/8 tsp per gallon in my reservoir. Keep in mind I’m hydro NOT soil. The first watering I did so with these little ladies that are 46” tall. Somehow I was in a rush and not thinking clearly the second watering which was two days later and added a full tablespoon into 4 gallons and the plants were already being fed before I did the math in my head. Much to my surprise they BLEW UP. When I went back and test the PPM on my reservoir the following day it was at a staggering 3400ppm. I should have had zombies. I cleaned it and reset with 1500 ppm and have slowly been adding water and watching it creep again into higher numbers. 3 different strains and they are all stoked on these numbers. So you know what. I’m literally going to test the uncharted waters and see exactly how much they can take. Like I always so, don’t do what I do. Do what your plants tell you to do. Party on wayne!

Crecimiento fuerte y vigoroso, una planta muy linda y resistente a las bajas temperaturas. End of week 2 of flower - Everything is running smoothly after installing my AC Infinity inline fan the environment has been extra easy to keep under control. The smell is getting stronger by the day and the ladies are fattening up nicely, especially my Purple Lemonade from FastBuds she doesn’t seem to be showing a lot of purple which I was really hoping for and she is also the fastest flowering plant in my grow. All the other plants were selected to have a longer flowering period. I defoliated slightly.

Another solid week of this lady just vegging along. MegaCrop is fueling her growth and she's really guzzling down the water, nearly 16 oz every 18 hrs. If there was a mini hydro category in this grow off I'd decimate all 🤣... Stay tuned I'd say we'll be seeing pistils within a few days, then the fun begins!!

This is the sister diary of the Runtz showdown, in which we pit two great performing strains created by two highly acclaimed and respected breeders, in a duel to the death. This diary features the RUNTZ XL AUTO strain by SweetSeeds. In the meantime, all seeds have germinated and seemed to have a level start. Also here we loaded the grow with our magical intentions as we sowed on Imbolc, the celebration day of the Goddess of spring: Bridget. We cant wait to see where this will lead us. Both strains will have the exact same conditions, lighting, care and nutrition. The Lights Also here we use our trusty Mars Hydro SP-3000, where we are trying to get over 600 grams (2x gram per watt) we succeeded almost on the previous grow, where we got to 1.5 grams per watt. We are starting in the regulars when these strains have only 4 to 5 weeks left to go, to double up on the 18hr light schedule. BHB has stretched from 20 cm to 70 cm in 3 weeks. DinaMed is at 50 cm. DinaMed's deficiency seems much better since flipping to flower. EC of BHB 1.3, DinaMed is 1.1, New air pump is shooting 396 Gal/h per bucket compared to just 58 last grow. Root mass has doubled. No sign of rot or root problems. Check out the video for more.

Dear diary, Week 2 done and on the books! Everything went mostly fine up until the very end of the week were I noticed some strangeness with G.C #2 that was transplanted. That will be covered more overall in next weeks update as I try to fix any potential issues. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 ⏰ Day 11: Calmag foliar applied 2 times during the day at 0.8ms and corrected ph to 6.3. They also got their regular feeding at 1.27ms 6.4ph with me increasing the light to 250ppfd. ⏰ Day 12: They were given a foliar and watering of calmag water at 1.13ms and 6.3ph early in the morning as issues had not cleared up. Later in the evening they got a regular feeding at 1.41ms, 5.9ph and lights were increased to 275ppfd. ⏰ Day 13: 2 calmag foliars, gave feeding at 1.54ms 5.8ph and increased lights to 285ppfd ⏰ Day 14: They have reached 3 nodes marking the end of seedling stage and beginning of veg! They were fed with 1.53ms 5.8ph and four 3 liter airpots was prepped with 75/25 coco/perlite and watered with the same feed until runoff before transplanting. As I can only grow four plants G.C #2 and #3 were selected as the final two. Temps are around 26 and RH 75% with lights on and 24C 80% off. Will be taking down the RH slightly over the coming few days to 65%. ⏰ Day 15: Gave the girls a feeding at 1.57ms 5.6ph. Also increased light to 305ppfd and they do look a bit droopy, but that’s not to surprising after the transplant. ⏰ Day 16: Daily feeding at 6ph 1.59ms and increased light to 320 ppfd. Aiming for 465 ppfd by the end of next week as that would move us up from 20 to 30 DLI. ⏰ Day 17: Sprayed a foliar coat of Leaf Coat from Biobizz as prevention for pest in the morning. For the evening they got their feeding at 1.58ms 6.2ph and foliar spray of calmag as G.C #2 is showing some strangness like small white marks and drooping on the new leaves. Will troubleshoot and give her a few days or so to see if she improves or else I will change in the plan-B G.C that wasn’t transplanted.

Now this girl i am so happy to be chopping. This is her final update before she comes down after dark period. The plant itself has been fantastic. She had great growth from the begining but just far to much for the space i had for her. Shes not a very pungent strain but does have a mellow sweetness coming from her. If she is as nice as my last dance with Sweettooth i will be over the moon.

Grow diary 11 stage 9 Day 81 to 90 This west coast o.g has grown beyond belief. Yet again she has shown that she is going into flower but she has done this twice already and just got bigger. I have been removing the other 3 strains out the tent as its been a massive compromise on the light height, it's been to far away from some plants and way to close to this one. I have even thrown a net over her to keep her down a bit. As of day 90 she is finally alone in the tent so I can lower the power slightly on the light as I don't have much more height left for it. Also from day 91 the light schedule will be on 16/8 to make sure she does continue flowering. Can't believe it's taking so long to be honest. Thanks for stopping by.
