Runtz Auto Week 5 2/2-2-8 Runtz Automatic is in flower and are stretching like crazy. At the beginning of the week, she was 6 inches tall, Wed 9 and today 2/7 she is 15 inches tall. Doubled in height. I’ve moved the pins out to the edge of the pot. For future training, I must add some wires through the pot holes to keep the branches lower. I’ve spread the top out and a few limbs are taller than the others. I reduced nutrients in the feed solution since Runtz and Pink Rozay are showing some purples/blues in the leaves. I added Green Sensation this week then read the instructions said add in 4th week flower. Runtz Auto is supposed to be an 11 week flower from seed to harvest. If I wait till the 4th week, it will only be used for 2 maybe 3 weeks. Would that benefit the plant? So I think I will add some each time but a 25% strength. Calls for 4ml/g I will use 1ml. They are autos and I should be lowering the nutes anyway. Pinned more branches and lightly defoliatied. I add 2 gallons of water to the T700 humidifier daily to keep the VPD in line. 2/5 4 gal prep, each nutrient added at ½ of recommended amount. Making 4 gallons since I have 2 pots of carrots and Dill in the back. Found out the water I was using had a ph of at least 7 instead of 6.5 like I had thought. I also had a cal mag deficiency from using LEDs and reverse osmosis water. Now I have a ph tester to prevent the first issue and cal mag for the second.

WOW she is a monster! Just shy of 2 meters! Well 1.7 meters. Still good for a strain that is rated for 0.9 meters. She is developing quite an impressive stature with an abundance of beautiful bud sites.

Week 6 and Lady Runtz is still going strong. If everything continues to go so perfectly, we will harvest this beauty just in time for the 05/25/25.

Week 6 Vegetation - "Ruby's" rate of growth continued to increase near the beginning of the week. As expected, this plant is overtaking the twin plant in terms of growth rate now that the bushy triplicate foundation is developed. Kinda reminds me of the "Tortoise & Hare" story about slow and steady winning the race XD With the nodes stretching and growing quickly, I've started to implement tucking of the larger fan leaves under new and smaller shoots. I find this "new growth priority" method paired with LST really maximizes and speeds up the growth in comparison to an untrained plant. Merely anecdotal though! You'll notice that in the 3rd shot, the nodes stretched out in about 2 days and just ballooned! now that's what I'm talking about! nearing the middle of the week and the rate of growth is fast enough that I can't remember to take enough pictures between the new nodes. At this point I'm tucking new leaves almost daily, making paths for the light to reach new growth tips. By the end of the week, I'll need to start tying the nodes to the side before they stretch too far up. If they stretch too far before tying them, they can be a PITA to tie down later with dense foliage and such. Tying them down before they get to this point also keeps the nutrients moving to the "new side-nodes" from these branches. Eventually these will be just as thick as the original main stalk. Luckily this plant seems to be bulking just as much as stretching - yay! UPDATE: As you can see with the last photos added, the branches are almost even with the original top of the plant that was tied down. I gave them a thorough fertigation the night before, and only slight folding of the leaves so I must have choked the roots a bit, but nothing long term.

Buds are developing. I'm using the same nutrients and I'm going to defoliate again already.

Ok so I'm going too only feed pH water from here on out too force the plants too use up all that's in the soil , I am hoping I can carry them on now for the next 2 weeks like this before they are ripe ,
