Hi everyone this last few weeks have been crazy as you all can see this Gelato turned out to be a Photoperiodic plant. Week 17 in to flower for 2 weeks now. All was going well but I did not have much time to look after it. And got some light burn in the early stages did some training techniques and She looks is recovering now. Some nice pictures how big one of those can get when I wasn't expecting this plant to be a Photoperiodic. But let's see she turned out a female so that's great will be a nice surprise probably. UPDATE - 24th of February 2020 - DRY WEIGHT & LOVE 56g total dry weight, after I gave them a very nice trim. They started curing in glass jars on 19/2/2020 and are currently between 63-68%RH inside. Burping every other hour for couple of minutes. While trimming some dried buds yesterday, I came across a seed, I couldn't believe it, between 😕and 😆, first time experiencing this, interesting, hopefully she didn't lose a lot of her potency and it only happened late. Learning from this: don't change light cycle. I changed from 18 to 21 hours, thought that was a good idea... All this aside, I am sooooooo in LOVE WITH HER 😍I have never grown such a beautiful plant, excuse the photo spam, she deserves a stage, at least for me 😉I can't wait to try her properly cured and get to learn her whole taste spectrum with the low and slow dried buds. Some of them will be processed to oil and edibles. If I find time, I might document some more. Until then, happy growing everyone, peace 🙏 Tried 2 different drying methods: 1. Regular hang dry: For 7 days in small grow tent, darkness at 50% humidity & 20°C/68F - she was almost too dry after 7 days. 2. Low & Slow dry: after washing & hang-drying for 4 hours, she went into the fridge for 7 days in a paper bag, followed by several jar tests until she was at a steady 68% outside; She dried like this in the fridge for 8 days. I didn't trim her too much, since I want to preserve everything for oils. More details: 16. Nov. 2019 - 13. Feb. 2020 - 88 Days - Grown from Seed Smell of Berries; Pink & Yellow tips; Lots of long curly brown hair; Pink tiny leaf tips on top of buds. I’m in love whooooooooooaaaaaaa. Chop on 13. Feb 2020 - 461g Put in vase with PH water for 2 days in Dry Tent darkness at 50% humidity & 20°C/68F 14. Feb. 2020 Darkness Day 1 - 469g 15. Feb. 2020 Darkness Day 2 - 452g Total wet - no trim - 452g Total wet - slight trim - 386g //Regular dry in tent - 50% humidity & 20°C/68F // 281g with trim went in Total dry - no trim - 43g Total dry - trim - 40g //Low and slow dry in fridge // 96g went in Total dry - trim - 16g Check 420magazine for “Low and Slow”-Dry. Comenzamos la floración con estas chicas, estoy muy encantado con ellas la verdad para que les voy a mentira, muy ansioso de empezar a ver sus flores, pretendemos fertilizar solo hasta la semana 5 por ahora. Estamos solo con 1 riego diario estuvimos de 1L ahora lo subimos 2L y lo recibieron muy bien. Algo en particular es que estamos probando cannaboost folear, se lo estamos dando 3 veces por día a la planta hace 10 días y no vamos a parar hasta el día 21 de floración para luego cambiar a dosis radicular, estamos haciendo esto para economizar cannaboost y comparar resultados con su dosis full que ya la eh testeado. A las nenas se les hizo super cropping (en mi instagram pueden ver un tutorial @chocolopeison) hace 7 días a las cuales también le agregamos unos soportes y hoy ya la pasamos a floración recuperadas con una gran defoliación de bajos. Ahora esperaremos día 14 para hacer otra defoliación, super cropping y guiado de malla que pronto estaremos instalando. La iluminación estamos con 540W de qb (2 @heavengrowlight y 1 @meijiu)

This is the beginning of week 3 in bud. I’ve decided to not put the ATF plant in my bud room this round. I’m hoping she will just keep growing slow and my clones will eventually catch up with her so they can all go in together next round. The buds have definitely starting to swell up this past week. They all seem to have bounced back from their week 2 lollipopping. I’m very excited for this Melato in the back. She’s obviously outgrown the other 2 strains I have in the room currently. She’s also started throwing off the most smells as well. With some really strong indica OG gas smells. But other than that, everything normal this week. Just plain PHed water every other day. This plant has been a joy to grow, she’s super frosty and fairly dense. I’ve trimmed and put in jars to cure. Not tried yet will give another week in jar then try a wake and bake with it.

Oh it was a special week. Day 21 of flower marks the Silver Back Guerilla defoliation day!!!! I left one be. For him. To prove me wrong. BUT!!! That one had some dead leaves at the bottom that needed removal, not the defoliated plants!! Time will tell as to if what Im doing is right. I stick to my guns that this works for my room. Even though I read differently, removal of foliage has lowered my rh. Could very well be outside environment, however. By day 21F the room was a bush again. In my opinion, it needed the heavy defo to breathe. As for light penetration, I am extremely happy with the amount of heads receiving direct light. Im a pig in shit Thanks for looking, I dont want to hear your opinion on defo or schawazze, unless youre SBG

Week 9 of flowering, Day 92 = the smell is incredible a. the buds are smelling very sweet, and still growing very large b. we are in the home stretch c. the trichomes are very milky d. the DWC is half full of 1620ppm nutrients at 6.5PH, I am cutting it in half with Mineral Water to finish the maturing process e. stigmas are changing color very rapidly, and the smell is incredibly strong Day 93 - WOW! The smell is becoming very intense a. we do not have a carbon filter on this box as it is out in our barn, but holy cow when we walk about 5 meters from the barn we can smell it strong b. added 4L of mineral water to the DWC to cut the Ripen down c. the buds are maturing fast! this will be harvested around day 100/101/102 d. for this week we are moving light to 11/13 Day 94 - resin explosions everywhere a. the light switch always makes more resin appear, and causes white stigmas to turn pink/orange b. she has slowed down her drinking a bit c. tomorrow the DWC will be pumped out, and 10L of water with FloraKleen will be added for 2 days Day 95 - trichomes look wonderful! a. 100x microscope shows really nice trichome development, majority milky white, with some amber, a few clear which should go white/amber in the next few days, and while drying. b. installed FloraKleen at 3ml/L with 10L of mineral water, will keep FloraKleen in for 2 days, then remove c. the pistils are all turning red/orange and brown Day 96 - growing well a. the buds continue to fully mature, the pistils are changing rapidly, and there are very few clear trichomes anywhere I look b. she is drinking less and less, her life is coming to an end I see, i constantly remove dead curled up leaves from her Day 97 - maturing, and smelling awesome a. i uploaded a video of the buds b. the trichomes are all milky white, and a probably 5-10% amber, they are SO greasy! Just like Girl Scout Cookies! c. installed a dehumidifier into the tent, it works well Day 98 - she is in the harvest window a. what a great plant to grow, 95% pistils are orange/red/brown and trichomes are 90% milky, 5% amber and a few clears here and there b. I am removing some leaves today to open her up a bit c. I think we will go another week, I will be in Geneva, so hopefully she will eat her leaves!

D37 - I totally stopped defoliation as there will be no more new leaves from now on. The girls don't need any LST either. All I need to do is just water them and wait for them to mature! No crispy leaves, no nutrient burn, no flies, no bugs no problem at all. Only AK2 is a little bit behind on bud development but it is possible that it might need more time in the flowering The nutrients are still double the recommended dosage.

This weeks video is not to trick anyone or deceive anyone. These plants are tough and if you start them young at higher EC values they will adapt. Never feed them to the point of harm…if you start to see burnt tips on the leaves then back off the EC. I hope all my videos helped someone along this journey. WEEK 7 TIME TO FLUSH FOR 2 WEEKS NUTRIENTS USED THIS WEEK PH’D WATER 5.8 It’s the end of week 7 and all is well. I will defoliate slowly over the next 2 weeks. All the major fan leaves will come off and any sugar leaves will be left in tact. Temps will be lowered, especially nighttime temperatures. Shooting for 66 degrees and 40% humidity at night. Daytime VPD will stay consistent at 1.4. CO2 will stop sometime this week. Really I am just looking to harden the colas not grow them any further. This weeks video is about EC “stacking”. I think it’s a good one and blows some people’s misconceptions about EC build up in the substrate. Just like you can train your plants with trellis netting, so can you train them with high EC. YOUR ENVIRONMENT MUST BE RIGHT BEFORE TRYING THIS. High CO2 levels and warm temps are a must for this to work and maintain rapid growth. Good luck guys and see you next week!

17.3.25: I've starred a Hulkberry auto. This was the first pack of seeds I bought! I realised it was mostly sativa, but now I'm ready to give it a go! Made my soil mix, which I will update next week.
