As you can see the white powdery mold is starting to lose my thoughts were getting a HEPA filter into the room . 2) because this mold mostly lives on leaves what I did is I locked out the soil. This was a technique passed on by a legacy grower in my area.The way it was explained is by making the pH higher than seven the plant would no longer be able to receive nutrients through the soil and it would have to eat whatever nutrients are left in the leaves. This woukd change the pH of the leaves aswell to help kill the mold . Lastly I greatly increased my wind movement so that air would be continuously moving no matter what it was a little bit hard on the leave tips that burnt a little bit but at this point windburn on leaves is pretty irrelevant when you're looking at the whole picture. I don't think this would have worked with any other genetics but exotic seeds mostly because from what I've seen with them is a very high resistance to mold and I think that played a huge part of the process. Also having diablo nutrients monster wash, without that I do not think I would have won this battle

Flowers starting to form towards the end of the week, but first they were lollipopped at the beginning of the week. This was just the first of 2 leaf strips from under the canopy, to allow better air flow and to remove the lower, unwanted flowering sites. These would only grow into fluffy nothingness if left throughout the whole cycle, and would probably even shoot some nuts due to stress from lack of light/airflow, especially as im not using the most powerful lights 😅 Nutes increased with the adition of sugars and a slight pk boost to promote healthy growth now they're getting hungrier. All looking healthy and filling out nicely 🦊

I made a DWC system from a water pump in a 5gallon bucket and an air pump outside the bucket. The water pump brings water up through a tube to replicate a drip ring and the air pump aerates the water in the reservoir. It's very quiet and seems to work well. I modified a design I got from my local hydroponics guy where I also got the net pot and peat pellet. I soaked the peat pellet in tap water that I'd left out overnight to evaporate out the chlorine. I put the seed in the hole in the top and pushed some peat over the hole. I kept it on a plate under a bowl in a drawer for a few days like I would do for the paper towel method. Then I put it in a rock wool cube. It didn't quite fit and I was worried that I might have hurt the root while forcing it in but it looks OK. Then I put it under my light and waited for it to sprout. Now that I've got a sprout happening, I'll plug in the DWC system and put in some starting nutrients. This is my first time running a hydroponics system after almost 10 years growing, so I'm excited :)

By the looks of things they appear to have between two and three weeks to go from now on no nutrients will be used on them only pH water .they have been growing very big and huge with very big buds hybrid looking flower with an incredible nice aroma. I just wanted to mention a note for my readers and is that the weeks that the breeder give as time for flowering starts not when you flip the plant to 12 12 hours but when the first flowers appear you start counting as Week 1 usually it takes two weeks for them to start flowering I thought it was an interesting note to put out there so when you are buying seeds you take that into consideration. Week 7 flowaaa !! Let me just say I am soo in love with growing cannabis I don’t do it for anything but the love for it just watching something grow to become these huge pretty colorful smelly plants is amazing! The GMO PUNCH is coming along very well becoming more vigorous and bright green as the days go on. The plants are still stretching which I was dreading so I actually put in another Scrog net you will see on my next post to help keep them from stretching too high .

Week 8 flower, watering until the end. No more top dressing or fish shit. Just the same de chlorinated tap water, not ph’d or filtered that I’ve been using since the beginning. Comes out the tap with a ph of 7 and less than 15ppm tds. The soil takes care of everything.
