🗓️ Week 5 – Nutrient Refresh, Net Adjustment & Light Optimization Arrived in week 5 with a complete nutrient solution refresh. This time using 2.5 ml/L Plagron Hydro A & B and 1 ml/L Plagron CalMag Pro, mixed into a total of 13 liters of water (the bucket turned out to be bigger than expected, according to the Amazon specs 15L). pH adjusted to 5.5 using Hesi pH-. During the water change, I lifted the SCROG net briefly to check on the roots – they’re looking great: bright, healthy, and strong. Net was repositioned afterward. The light is now running at level 8 out of 10, delivering around 800 PPFD in the center and about 700 PPFD at the edges, with a distance of 35 cm to the canopy – everything’s well dialed in!

Week 5: A little yellowing on the leaves this week. We believe we have a Mag deficiency. Will adjust when watering. Did a flush due to this as well with Cal/Mag in the water. Defoliation: We took a lot more off this week due to the growth spurt. LST: using paper clips for LST and it is working amazingly. They have really adjusted well to it. Height (inches): GSC1 21.5; GSC2 15.5; GSC3 15; Delight 17 7.19.22: The back left GSC grew 3 inches overnight - crazy!!! Raised the light to accommodate it and placed the other girls on a box to be at her level.

Backing off the feeds a little now that they are coming into the final weeks of flower. Did a good bit of defoliating this week to help get airflow to the lower areas. Happy with the bud growth they are really starting to fatten up now. Onto week 8! 😬✌️

Super Soil Guide Peyote Wifi from Seedsman seeds wow can't believe it's been 15 weeks since I started this plant . Ive been busy brewing up the High tea and I fed about 15 litres of the diluted (5:1 water/tea ratio) Tea to her over a two day period and she lapped it up and has regained her vigor again. I know ive mentioned it previously in this diary but I can't stress how Important the condition of your soil is in ,is to your plants overall health. Ive seen lots of grows (mine included) where the Grower only takes notice of the plant itself and ignores the soil until issues appear via the leaves on the plant ie nutrient deficiencies , Root problems ,disease etc . By being Proactive with your soil as well as your plant you can potentially eliminate or alleviate any problems before they can effect the plant. Things like the use of Mycorrhizae will attack any bad pathogens within the soil and root system. Using seaweed/kelp on a regular basis helps the plant during times of stress or High temps as well as being a NATURAL PGR . Mollasses can be used to provide Carbs to your plants roots and the girls love it!! So in a nutshell ,, if you look after your soil it will look after your plants 😃 Thanks for stopping by and reading my diary update 👍

Hello everyone, Been busy but I shoot a little video for yall to see, also if growing is something you guys intended to do, I suggest you guys get yourselves a Digital Microscope or a jewlers loop. I just got myself a Digital Microscope for under $20.00 on Walmart.com, I got me a cheap one to start with so I can learn how to use it properly. But for under $20.00 this one brings 8 led lights, a adjustable mount, comes with 3 different connection choices build in, magnifies from 50-1000x, can take pictures and also videos and my favorite part, it connects right to my mobile device, you download and install a Google app and your ready to go, ill work with it and add pictures next week... See you guys soon 👊👊👊

Week 5 Veg Report: SCROG Netting, Massive Leafs & Precise Data Mastery! 🌱 Girls Growing Stronger Than Ever! 🌱 This week has been truly epic in the grow room—so much so that it’s time to bring in the SCROG net! With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! 💪 Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Honestly, they’re so big I couldn’t resist a little fun, so I made myself some fashion accessories: leaf earrings and a cap from the Super Sativa Seed Club Green Papaya! 😂 And, of course, I captured the moment. But seriously, large leaves at this stage are a great sign of healthy, robust plants. These “solar panels” are hard at work soaking up all the light, driving photosynthesis, and fueling growth. So, what does it mean when your plants are showing off big, luscious leaves? It’s a clear indication that they’re happy, healthy, and thriving in their environment—big leaves mean lots of energy being produced and stored for future bud growth. Exactly what we want! 💧 Precision Feeding with Aptus Nutrients 💧 This week, I took a deep dive into my Aptus nutrient lineup and shared a video explaining how each product affects the water’s pH and TDS. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. Let’s break it down: • pH: 5.83 • TDS in solution: 445 ppm • Water temperature: 25.2°C The Aptus products are incredible for balancing nutrients without throwing off the pH or TDS too much. I’m fine-tuning my feedings based on these readings to make sure the girls are getting exactly what they need. The precision I’m able to achieve with the AMP-3 is mind-blowing—I get immediate feedback on pH, temperature, and EC, allowing me to make real-time adjustments and ensure the perfect environment for nutrient uptake. 📊 Environmental Mastery Thanks to TrolMaster 📊 Speaking of control—let’s talk about the TrolMaster system! Between the DSH-2U Humidity Station and all the other sensors, I’ve created the perfect environment for my plants. Here’s where we’re at this week: • Temperature: 26.2°C • RH: 70.6% • CO2 levels: 775 ppm • VPD: 1.0 kPa • PPFD: 423 Thanks to TrolMaster, I can monitor and adjust these metrics in real time, and the best part? I can do it all through the TM+ Pro app, even while I’m lounging in my green papaya leaf hat! 😆 Whether I’m checking the CO2 levels, adjusting the lights, or fine-tuning the humidity, it’s all in my hands with just a tap of my phone. Talk about convenience! 🌱 P.S. – Inline Sensors: Heavy-Duty Precision 🌱 Now, let’s talk about the heavy-duty players in this game—the (PCT-2) Heavy Duty Inline EC/Temp Sensor and the (PPH-2) Heavy Duty Inline pH Sensor. These bad boys are connected directly to the AMP-3 Precision Meter, and they’ve been absolutely crucial in giving me the most accurate readings on my water and nutrient solution. The PCT-2 keeps me informed about the electrical conductivity and temperature of my solution, which is key for monitoring how well my plants are absorbing nutrients. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. Together, these inline sensors allow me to run a super-tight ship—every drop of water and nutrient is dialed in to perfection, keeping the plants happy and healthy! Shout Outs! As always, huge thanks to TrolMaster and ThinkGrow LED for the amazing gear, to Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients and Pro-Mix for the best soil i have used so far. Big love to the seed banks, the amazing Grow Diaries community, and all my followers—you guys make this journey so much more exciting. So this grow wasnt to bad considering it was my first indoor auto grow. For the most part I am satisfied with. However I will stick with the high end genetics from here on out as I want to grow the dankest of the dank and this is what I enjoy doing so why not do it the best way possible with the best names in the game. Stay tuned to see what 🔥 I’m growing next!!! Thanks for tuning in and as always stay Smokey my Friends!! 💨💨💨

Buds are fattening up pretty well and I've had to use more rubber garden wire and clips to keep the branches from bending over. Smell is increasing on the Northern Light but still a mild skunk on the Black Devil. Also gave the very last feeding on the plants this week so they will get nothing but water until the chop. I'm very happy with the microbe populations so I stopped feeding the sugars (molasses/agave) as the plants themselves don't get much out of them; that stuff is just for feeding the soil beasties. I had added some predatory mites several weeks ago to deal with some springtails, and the mites annihilated the population. I did find a developing larva though so there are still some around. Posted lots of microscope videos today.

Ello ello ello, week 11's past and week 12 begins. Here's a timelapse, and more updates come as the week goes; of course. UKBS 2 experienced some great growth this week. Carl 2 had what seemed to be a stunted main growth tip so I topped it, it's recovering nicely. UKBS 1 and Carl 1 are overcrowding the tent, I'll be flipping to flower within the next couple of weeks here, given that the plants aren't sick or injured. 4/23/2021- Put the two indoor plants into scrog netting, repotted Carl 2 to a bigger pot (15gal) as well as UKBS 1 to a 5gal. Flipping to flower after UKBS 1's next watering.
