Hello Growmies, As we round up week 5 with our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid by Zamnesia, the growth has been nothing short of impressive. The choice to employ low-stress training (LST) rather than topping has paid dividends, with the plants responding well to the gentle guidance of their growth, seamlessly integrating into the SCROG setup. This method has allowed for an even canopy spread, optimal light penetration, and air flow, which is critical for the health of the plants and ultimately the yield. Observing the Watermelon Candy's development, we see a testament to our cultivation methods. The vibrant green leaves reaching skywards, the sturdy stems, and the strategic placement of each branch in the SCROG—every detail points towards a successful vegetative phase. In terms of environmental control, we've applied the lessons learned from our other strains, maintaining a stable and ideal VPD during the day with the Tent-X system. The nights, however, have brought forth the same challenges we've faced with other strains, showing fluctuations in VPD levels. The integration of the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is anticipated to solve this, and we are optimistic that this change will bring about the consistent conditions needed for the Watermelon Candy's continual thriving. Even with the small hiccup in the nighttime environmental control, the plants are flourishing. The robust health they exhibit is a sign they're ready for the flowering phase, and we expect nothing less than a bountiful harvest. And while we've experienced a bit of frustration with Secret Jardin and Mars Hydro for the integration challenges, we appreciate TrolMaster's efforts to assist. We are hopeful for a resolution soon, or we may revert to the reliable Prima Klima setup. Starting to do extremely light lollipopping only for leaves blocking budsites or budsites that will not get enough light Day 35: #2 is starting to smell of limonene. #1 and #3 are like 3-5 days behind #2 in terms of flowering. #3 is very slow and the runt of the bunch. D21 - Start of week three of veg for the second girl, while it is only the start of week two for the first girl as I had to replant her. I will probably do the first topping on the second girl this week but I'll see in a few days where she's at. I gave both girls around one liter of water @ pH 5.9. A bit on the low side as I used too much pH down but it'll be fine for one watering. D24 - Yesterday I switched my light from the seedlings program to the veg program, and I'm now reading around 500-600 PPFD across the canopy. On the high end for sure, so let's see how the girls handle it. However, the daytime temp in the tent jumped up to around 30 degrees C after I switched the lights. #tinytentproblems I also added some support to #1 as she has a relatively thin stem but large leaves, so the oscillating fan keeps knocking her around. The second girl also initially had a slender stem, so I guess it is their genetics. (#1 is 12 cm tall and 15 cm wide, while #2 is 20 cm tall and 35 cm wide.) I will need to top the second girl this week as she grows a lot each day. I'm considering mainlining her but haven't made up my mind yet. I gave both girls around one liter of water @ pH 6.5. D25 - A couple of days ago, switching the lights to the veg program made the cover crop explode and turn into a jungle. I decided to trim down the red clover to increase the airflow around the girls and reduce water use. I watered the girls only yesterday, but they were already thirsty again, so I think that the clover was drinking quite a bit as well. After cutting back the clover, I gave each girl around 1.2-liters of water @ pH 6.5. D27- Today was the last day in week three of veg for the second girl and the last day in week two for the first girl. I really should have topped the second girl already, so that will need to be done as soon as possible. She is 26 cm tall and 38 cm wide, while the first girl is 13 cm tall and 27 cm wide. Yesterday, I removed the support from the first girl as her stem had gotten more robust, so it was no longer necessary. Today, I started brewing compost tea (worm castings, neem meal, kelp meal, biochar, rock dust, algal limestone, bentonite, and molasses) which I will leave overnight and feed to the girls tomorrow.

this girl has come on well since the change to 12/12 shes stretching out and grown into a decent Bush so decided to do some defoliation and lst shes responded well to it will be dropping silicon this week was going to drop it last week but didn't will be adding buddy next week thanks for reading happy growing guys

Things are swelling up nice this week. Orange Hairs are starting to appear on all the buds one by one. It's been a very enjoyable grow. The buds are super tight! The sugar level could be better but If I have a successful harvest I will be very grateful. Any larger sugar leaves on the bottom of plants are starting to wither. Feedings are at 1150-1200ppm. as often as I can get the pots to dry. I will be getting more fans for this very purpose. I can't feed them if they are still wet. I was worried I had too many plants. But after defoliations and the plants stopping foliating I've wound up with a super solid canopy. I was reading other FoxFarm Diaries and I believe I have been underfeeding even though I've been following the feeding schedule. Not enough ppm's in flower to just use the Trio- Schedule. This morning I fed at 1550ppm and the plants are showing no negative signs. The max you can achieve using just the trio and the schedule is around 1150ppm. I believe that I was right about having a potassium deficiency but didn't know what to do about it since I was maxing out the scheduled nutes. Day 40 Flower - Feeding 300ppm of CalMag and RO/Tap Mix

Week 5 since light switch to 12/12 The terps are AMAZING and very very strong. Entire place smells when I open the tent. And lingers for way too long. So hard to pin down the exact smell as it changes through the weeks. Sweet creamy skunky gas with a slight new shoe smell. Like that strong brand new fresh rubber or plastic smell you get when you open a brand new pair of sneakers. Everything the same as last few weeks. Same feeding and nutes. I switched to nutes that have zero nitrogen around week 3 but wish I waited another week as my leaves are getting yellow pretty fast already. Assuming it is the nitrogen that's causing it. Buds look super frosty though!!

Are just in day 5 and two of them seems to enjoy. Ph 5.8 Ppm 720 Ec 1340 **** First time growing, and first time with dwc. I chose to build my own dwc tank! First week was alright, I think I put the seed to early in coco coir and then into leca in dwc tank. Tap water is around 200 ppm and 7.6ph, I boil the water because of kalk. First 2-3 days I was starting with 7.2 - 6.6 ph and 520 - 640 ppm D. 4-5 640-790 ppm 5.8-.5.6 adding more terra Aquatica D. 5-7 790-980 ppm 5.6-6.2 ph 23c tent 19c w.

Week 8: the last week of veg for Gigi! During these days I've started watering normally again with ph'd water and some additive. This week was really flat: nothing bad or good happened, I think it's time to put her 12/12 and start the flowering session. I'll defoliate the next week, she need some chill before the light change. I'm troubleshooting with my reflex and pc right now, this old stuff doesn't work. 😑 However I've managed to do something. Making some beats and growing right now and I'm feeling good after work😁
