DAY 28 : Hi all , hope your past week has been a positive one with lots of love and affection. I am at the point now where flowering should be starting to show throughout the plants usually. Their are many tiny white pistil hairs showing their female genetics across the bracts of them all now so it looks like flowering has begun !!!! The FC3000 has really given them plenty of light on their perfect spectrum to develop those nice fat fan leaves and now will no doubt take them through a great flowering period. It doesnt produce much heat at all and you can touch it for a while and still not feel too much heat. Ideal for stealthy gardens.. The Tip Spreading has been continued up to this point and it is clear to see how it works on keeping the heights down. By using additional l.s.t that wont slow growth down like the leaf tucking and threading the growing tips above the larger fan leaves that are still being used like solar factories producing copious amounts of food for the developing growth tips. The stems on the majority are nice and thick from the close stacking of the nodes and their is very little popcorn to remove from lower down. I will be keeping them all as open as I can now that we are going into the stretch periods pre flower. The potential is there now to create very chunky bud stacks but I think the Strawberry Pie have ideas of bursting out more . ! They are certainly all a lot more happy than the bonsai Mexican that has emerged in #1. Still very short and half the size ( or less!) than her sister in the next bed. She looks happy and healthy now but her initial shock at the soils make up had a negative impact very early on. Overall it has been a good week for their tip spreading l.s.t and setting them up for flowering and I hope that our next update will be the bud porn early stages. Be well and prosperous growmies

Week 8 Plant Growth Summary Lighting: Light schedule remains under review, currently around 16.67 hours as part of the ongoing reduction plan. The goal is to reach 15 hours of light by the week of May 26, aligning with civil twilight to avoid triggering early flowering during the eventual outdoor transition. Irrigation & Feeding: Began the week with 4 gallons of nutrient solution in the reservoir (standard feeding levels). Midweek, the reservoir was flushed and cleaned, then refilled with 3 gallons of plain water at pH 6.5 to help balance conditions. Training & Maintenance: Performed light pruning of lower leaves showing signs of nutrient burn or receiving insufficient light. Continued low-stress training with soft ties to open up canopies and encourage light penetration to new growth. Blueberry Muffin was topped this week to encourage bushier growth. Overall Plant Health: Both plants are looking healthy and responding well to training. Adjustments are continuing in anticipation of the mid-May transplant outdoors.

I might switch the lights in the next days. Depending on her growth. Day44: Added some water and moved the camera a little further away. Day45: She felt lonely, so I got her a friend... Theobroma Cacao. New seedling that needs the warmth + humidity. Hopefully surviving winter. Day46: I decided to take some zoomed in stills of her. To show off her beauty. The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

We've made it to week 3! (10/12/20) I'm very happy with how the girls are going, they have definitely put in a HUGE amount of work over the past 7 days. Plants 3 & 8 are very similar(extremely fat leaves & extra bushy) Plants 1 & 5 are similar (smaller phenos reacting to nutes slightly differently) & Plants 2, 4, 6 & 7 seem to be a cross between the previously mentioned phenos(not too small and not too big/bushy & reacting to nutes fine) Feel free to compare Week 1, 2 & 3 to see the differences. Nutes are staying the same this week, although I will be spacing feedings out a little bit further(18 hours-ish), as well as feeding straight PH'd water once a fortnight. I am contemplating hooking my simple drip-to-waste irrigation system up, although the girls are pretty close to the medium still and the halos sit 5-10cm above the medium, meaning fan leaves would be drooping onto the wet halos, so I'll give it another week and see how they're doing :) Update 11/12/20 - day 22 The girls have beefed up quite a bit over the last 24 hours, I'm really looking forward to seeing a stretch soon :) No feeding today & will water plain ph'd water tomorrow. Update 12/12/20 - day 23 Gave the girls straight ph'd water today with little run off. Veg growth is really starting to boom now, looking forward to seeing where this grow goes! I'm gladly accepting any tips or tricks, as I'm still only a beginner to indoors. Update 13/12/20 - day 24 Girls are looking great today, not much to report. They didn't get a feed or watering today as the medium was still wet after a pure watering yesterday. Update 14/12/20 - day 25 There's been a big increase in growth over the past 24 hours. All the girls besides the 2 smaller phenos look 100% happy, the smaller ones have looked a little weird since day 1(Weird as in colour of the fan leaves look deficient of something, but I'm not sure what. The girls will be getting a full feeding today. There's still no signs of sex but they are feminised seeds. Update 15/12/20 - day 26 Girls are looking happy today. Temps are back to normal after a heat wave in my city(its only going to get hotter from here on out). No feeding/watering today, pots are heavy/wet enough. Started using iphone for photos now, my only lens for my DSLR is useless for most grow related photos. I will upgrade my lens before next grow. I received my new silenced fan today! I couldnt be any happier :) It is a silenced Sigilventus SE-A150J, which I have set-up with a brand new Can-lite carbon filter. I went from a rocket loud eBay fan to a completely silent inline EC fan :D I hope the girls like the silence! Update 16/12/20 - day 27 The girls are continuing to boom! and I'm over the moon about it :D I gave them a full feeding today. I have seen white pistils coming out of calyx's on most of the girls, so i'm hoping they start to flower soon. I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine at 40-50% for 70% of the day, but the remaing 30% of the day it goes up to 60-65%. Temps stay the same in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thanks for viewing! :)

This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. Both with pinned nutrients. (Day 65) Toxy 1,5L Sticky 1L (Day 66) Toxy 1.3L Sticky 0.7L (Day 67) Unfortunately, the plants haven't been taken care of for the last 3 days because I was sick Today I decided to give it full nutrients because the leaves are already very yellow. I watered again with runoff water. Toxy 3.5L with 0.7L runoff. Sticky 2L with 0.2L runoff. (Day 69)

I have not done too much training on her after the rough start. I been letting her grow now after the kst from before. She will need the height to get to the light better. I am not expecting a big plant, but instead to get as much as I can out of her with what time she has left. She is stretching and starting to form her flowers. I did a solution change on her yesterday to blooming nutes. Hopefully she still does something neat. Hi everyone. This week has been easy, shes in autopilot now. The nuggets are definitely getting bigger with nice density. I gave the main cola a little squeeze and shes was very sticky and smelled amazing. The citrus smell is strong but right behind it comes a nice soothing pine smell, if you like outdoors that is. Thanks for the advice @budxs💪🏾, I've adjusted my temps accordingly.

I fed it this morning, but the next feeding definitely increases the dose of TNT and I will repeat the cal-mag a little lower than today. End of week 9 and I'm seeing just a few amber trichomes and most of hairs have turned brown so she'll most likely get chopped during week 10.

Hey-O ! The girls are doing great, lots of frost development and thickening up. Big fat colas and nugs on these ones. Pretty sure the Mai cola is a solid OZ on its own 🤤 smelling very dank, and feeling greasy to the touch. I accidentally gave the babies a drink mixed with a shot of dehumidifier chemicals. I mean, there’s stiff learning curves being a first time grower but that is just thick as pig shit territory. It only dawned on me the next day and I rapidly flushed. Think the orange bud is looking a little healthier, but they are both hanging in there. Chemicalicious.
