9/18: New week...fed with Boomerang and Kangaroots 9/19: Applied Axiom harpin proteins and boomboom spray 9/20: Fed full strength TPS One...decent growth. This strain really likes the Nitrogen..they were starving... 9/21: Tucked a few leaves and took some photos and a video. Looking good. Just a couple more days of 24/0... 9/22: Switched out the 560w of 5000k CCT lighting for 720w of 3000k CCT lighting and set the timer for 12/12. Decided against 13/11 with emerson effect...trying to save a few bucks on electricity. I'm keeping the lights at 30" from the tops for a day or two. 9/23: The girls loved their first night of sleep...so perky!

FLOWERING First week of flowering. The first flowering phenomena are visible in the tops of the plants.😜 -------------------------------- GROWTH The plants are still growing rapidly. To keep the size of the plants somewhat at the same height, I use the following techniques: 😷 1. Removal of the side branches (Defoliation) -Small plants: I remove almost all side branches. In this way the small plants do not have to spend energy in the growth of side branches. -Large Plants: I don't remove anything. The plants will put energy into the growth of side branches, so the plants will not grow too fast in height. -Other plants: I remove the side branches in proportion to the size of the plants. In the course of the following days, I gradually remove all low side branches! 2. Tying the branches (Low Stress Training) -The smallest plants grow straight upwards. -The largest plants are tempered in their growth, after I have tied them to the plant sticks with the help of plastic plant binders. On DAY 5 the plants vary in length between 23 and 41 cm -------------------------------- AIR HUMIDITY 😨 When the lights are on, it gets nice and warm in the growing room. To keep the humidity at the desired level, I have two 7.5 liter humidifiers working almost continuously. In less than 24 hours I have to refill them. As long as the plants do not have real buds, I like high humidity so the plants to keep a low VPD. -------------------------------- WATER and NUTRITION 😱 Due to the high humidity, I don't have to give that much water. Every 2-3 days I give 1.25 liters of water per pot. I add 3 tablets of Easy Grow Booster to 10 liters of water. I divide this mixture between the 8 pots. This week I gave 2 x water. !!! The WATERING VOLUME PER PLANT PER 24H above, is in fact PER POT (4 POTS) !!!

Our Northern Lights is flourishing beyond expectations. The buds are incredibly dense and continue to swell daily. This remarkable growth is a testament to the resilience and genetic quality of the plant.The trichomes are predominantly cloudy now, with a few beginning to turn amber. This is a crucial indicator of maturity and potency, suggesting that harvest time is approaching. The tent's aroma is becoming increasingly potent, a sign of the buds' maturing profile. I'm keeping the tent closed more often now to manage the strong smell. This intense aroma is a clear indicator of the quality and health of our plant. Looking back at the initial issues we faced, it's incredible to see how beautifully our Northern Lights has turned out. Her resilience and our adaptive approach have led to this stunning result. The EC level is now stable at 1.3, and she seems to be responding well to it. Over the next two weeks, I plan to gradually decrease the nutrient levels and then start the flushing process. 1/17 - Day 62 / Day 35 Flower Pots felt dry so decided to give them about a half gallon of spring water each. This wasn't enough to induce runoff. Will save that for a bigger watering later this week. Nutrient issues continue to persist. **************************************************** 1/19 - Day 64/ Day 37 Flower - Feeding day Pots were feeling dry again. After about a week of laying off the nutrients following the flush, I gave them a feeding today with their watering. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have waited this long to re-introduce nutrients as some of the lag in recovery is probably due to the fact that I flushed all of the food. The feeding solution consisted of the following: - 1 gallon distilled water - 5ml of FF Tiger Bloom (1/2 dose) - 10ml of FF Big Bloom (2/3 dose) Adjusted the solution to the following conditions before feeding: - pH: 6.5 - TDS: 303ppm - EC: .6 I gave each of the 5 gallon pots about a half gallon each of the solution, followed by enough spring water to induce runoff (approximately another half gallon). I tested the runoff for both of my 5 gallons and returned the following readings; Z51: - pH: 6.4 - TDS: 649ppm - EC: 1.3 Z52: - pH: 6.2 - TDS: 669ppm - EC: 1.3 I was encouraged that both plants are close to being within my ideal range and hopefully this means that they will start to show signs of recovery in the next week. **************************************************** 1/21 - Day 66 / Day 39 Flower I'm growing in an attic space and we've had a drop in temperature over the last couple days, my heating system was working overtime and more heat was rising into the space. I woke up today and the temp in my grow tent was registering in at 87F. I decided to play around with my temperature threshold on my fan controller, reducing the max heat threshold to 80 from 85. What I didn't account for was that I had a low humidity threshold of 30% (which I assumed meant that that fan would stop running if it hit this point). It turns out that my fan actually kicks ON when it hits that threshold... As a result. my fan was short cycling through the night where it would turn on when the heat exceeded 80 (causing humidity to decrease) then turn on again when it hit my low humidity threshold - creating wide swings in my temp and humidity. I'll tell you what, if I don't produce any viable bud this grow, I can honestly say I made up for the loss based on the education I've received. The nutrient deficiency issues are still present but don't appear to be getting worse. The leaves on my Z51 are pretty pale, it's clear they are starving for nitrogen but I am reluctant to try and address issue at this point. I'm planning 2 more light feedings over the next two weeks so hopefully this will be enough to get them to harvest. **************************************************** Day 1/22 - Day 67/Day 40 Flower My girls are really starting to frost up and the colas feel noticeable more dense by the day. I would have thought that the smell would have been stronger by now. Not sure if this is a consequence of my carbon filter doing such a good job or whether the buds are having developmental issues. When I get up close and smell the buds, I get a faint aroma but not the strong sweet and gassy smells that I've read about on other journals. I watered the 5 gallons today with a gallon of spring water each. My soil is not as airy as it once was and has started to cake up around the roots. I do my best to try and loosen up the dirt, usually to no avail. I was short for time so I didn't have a chance to test the runoff.

I have my Electric Sky 180v2 now in instead of the cheap 40$ for 4 lights i bought on facebook. Which were growing but nothing like this thing has been doing the past week. Im still blown away by the light but back to the plants. Doimg great i took some clones. First time ever so hopefully they root. I been sprayin em 4 -6 times a day. My 3rd g6jetfuel i took out of my tent with es180v2 and put in closet by itself with the 40$ cheap leds. It hasnt grown a whole lot compared to the tent plants g61 and 2...i thought maybe it may of had a male or hermi part but honestly i dont think it did bc i cant find it now. But its still in there bc i decided to throw it on 12-12 in closet to find out sex forsure. Ive been foliar spraying in my tent 3 timez a day. And 2 times a week i get 2 little drops of fox farm grow bif in my 10oz spray bottle of water.

Overall a good week no issues at all. Pictures are in order starting with bottom left corner autoflower moving counter clockwise. Any suggestions or pointers are greatly appreciated!

Stickiest plant I've ever grown hands down. I'm looking forward to the end product - next week I will be looking under the microscope to see the status of the trichomes to determine when the flush will be.

I am excited to try out this new gorilla cookies from fastbuds. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

Purole Lemonade is a particular strain, it has fewer leaves and is less bushy than the other plants but has a very nice color and seems to regulate quickly and very well to toppings. Really beautiful it looks good pomettebe. We spray neem solution + potassium soap every 3 days for protection and lord grow nourishing foliar every 15 days for leaf nutrition and co2 protection.

now time to harvest gets closer every day and time feels now as if she stands still, holy i cant wait to finaly taste this sweet buds. have a beautifull day.
