Week 4

The veg cycle was shorter than i usually like to have a plant go through, due to time restrictions for the Bubba Cheesecake Diary grow-off, but it still did fantastic in my mind! Three months in veg under high-octane light and 11 1/2 weeks in flower have let this plant turn into a dreadlocked group of nugs. Three main colas, but lots of burnable flower to enjoy once the dry is finished. I did a light LST with a decent amount of defoliation throughout the plant's life. I like to open up the middle area of the plant and let as much light as possible hit as many branch and potential flower nodes as possible. This way, i don't need to lollipop as many branches and as much foliage as i would if i didn't do this. Plus, the candelabra look is b-e-a-Utiful, in my opinion. Light intensity through veg ranged from 40% as a fresh seedling to around 55% the week before i put it into the bloom room. Once it was in the bloom room, the intensity was set at 50% for the first couple weeks to allow for a decent stretch. After that, i think i recorded the light intensity in my diary notes for each week. But, just in case i didn't, I bumped up the intensity by a few percent every 3 days until i hit 100%. Once i got to MAXIMUM POWER, i left it there until harvest. Water was natural well water that tests out at 7 pH. I always added BuildABloom to the water, never the soil, when i used it. Same with Dr. Earth's 1-2-1 tea concentrate. Other than those instances, it was just straight water that i was giving to the plant. Grow rooms are both about 4'x8'. Choped her down on day 73. Buds stayed a bit small because I got some ph issues on the early flowering stage. But still happy for outcome. Got some nice frosty stinky buds :) The smaller was 116 days old when cutted down. Got a few full branches of seeds too :)

I cut the main top to have a structure with 4 main tops. all the rebirths change Hours 12/12 the name already says a lot, I cut the main top and put it on the vase, making it look more homogeneous to receive the light, I changed the light cycle in 12/12 for the flowering, it is a super strong plant thinking about what it has undergone for the first 3 months ...

Getting ready to take clones and flip them into flower in the next few weeks

All 3 plants are adapting very well to LST, the shape its growing into have been allowing the light to reach further into the lower growth nodes and branches. I like to start bending the branches close to the main stem as early as week 3 of VEG. Now these 3 Northern Lights Auto seeds are from Sun West Genetics, they were all germinated, planted, trained, fed the same way they have been on the same controlled environment since day 1, the 3 are totally different, I know each plant is unique in its own way, but I find strange that 1 plant is taller and stronger than the other 2, the smaller one is growing weak leaves with signs of mutation, all 3 plants show signs of Magnesium deficiency, these 3 plants are sharing a grow tent with a Haze Auto from Seedsman, all 4 plants are under the same diet, the Haze have no signs of deficiencies or mutations, I guess that shows what good genetics look like. For the Magnesium deficiency I have mixed my own Epson salts into water and applied as a foliar spray, internet said the spray should be used every other week, wait 2 weeks to see results. Signs of Nutes burn, I decided to stop feeding for this coming week. The 3 NL leaves are looking unhappy, kind of clawing under, they look lifeless, I have ruled off a few potential problems such as: Wind Burn Under Watering Water PH Light Burn, just moved the QB higher to 17 inches from the highest canopy today. If any of you fellow growers have advice for the leaves, please let me know. Stay Lit folks 👩‍🌾🏻

Day 85 - Starting week 13 today and still no issues. Checked some trichs today and still quite a bit clear in there but quite a bit cloudy. Going to start flushing her for her next watering and looking at her, think she’s got about 2ish weeks left. Day 86 - All still on track for a chop in about two weeks. There’s less and less clear trichs but would like to get a good amount of amber before cutting so hopefully she’ll push them out in the next two weeks. Day 87 - Gave her 2 gallons of plain 6.5 pH’d water today to start flushing out the nutes. She’s almost all ccloudy now and hopefully start getting some amber in there in the next two weeks before chopping. Day 88 - All is going good still. Checked the trichs all over and it’s pretty much all milky and seeing a couple ambers in there. So it seems like about a week to two weeks left. Day 89 - No real update, she’s getting a bit more amber in her so almost thinking she’ll be ready to chop this weekend. Just gonna keep an eye on her and when the trichs are right, she’ll get the axe. Day 90 - Lots more amber are showing now so looks like it’ll be day 91 or 92 when I chop her. Will probably chop her on Friday but may end up doing it tomorrow. Not sure yet, depends on how I’m feeling and what she’s looking like tomorrow but definitely excited about getting her chopped, trimmed and start drying her. Day 91 - The end of week 13 and Letting the girl finish drying out today and will be chopping her tomorrow. She has some lower fluff bud but everything else is ready.

COntinued to apply small amounts of pressure with LST but aside from that, letting her do her thing. Had to leave her for a few days and she got dehydrated, after a feed she perked up again but she's now started sucking all the nutes out of her lower growth. Its finally harvest day. It seems she would need 4-5 days more until harvest but she is to small and she cost me too much so i harvest her with the other small ones to get space for another plant.

Started out pretty slow, then blew up like crazy during preflower before running into deficiencies followed by nute burn. In the end I switched to organic nutes and she came out great! Big frosty purple buds consistently ping pong ball sized. Smells like straight skunky oranges. Although this took a really long time for an auto, I would grow this again!
