1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. I chopped the Glookies on day 70F, on day 74F I decided to chop the remaining GMO and Acapulco Gold. I didn't feed or water the last week as the soil was still pretty moist and I wanted to harvest soon-ish anyways, they faded quickly in the last few days.

The plants react well to the switch to 12/12 and continue to stretch and fill out their grow space. They love the Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule and have a healthy green color all over. The first signs of flowering (=white hairs) start to appear and both plants are female (as expected from feminized seeds). Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plant #2 is appr. 12 cm taller than plant #1 at this time.

2/2: not much to report. Slow going, but going 2/5 NL: Still have a few weeks to go, but buds are fattening up. Watered with pH balance water as she was given nutrients on last watering. I didn't have high hopes for this plant. Still unsure of the density of the buds.

Day 70 - She grew 4cm this week. Her flowers are not as developed as any of her tent mates, looks like she's going to take her time flowering. That's ok. I'm happy to wait 😀

I had to harvest my Blue Dream plant early due to some larger mold spots I found on the buds. To prevent the mold from spreading to my other plants, I acted quickly and made the cut. Unfortunately, this meant I couldn't give her a proper flush. Despite the abrupt end, the aroma of the buds is fantastic, and I'm optimistic about the taste. During trimming, the scissors became sticky with resin, which is a good sign of potency. I carefully harvested bud by bud to ensure I didn't miss any mold-affected areas. Unfortunately, the main bud had the worst mold spot, so I had to take it apart. It's puzzling since they were never outside during rain and only had to contend with morning dew. Overall, I'm pleased with this grow and feel humble. It was an incredible journey filled with challenges and triumphs. I'm looking forward to enjoying the fruits of my labor and learning from the experience. Thank you to all my growmies for following along and being part of this learning experience. After 9 days of drying, I brought the Blue Dream buds into my apartment for the final trim before jarring. The initial yield was 40 grams, but during my last inspection, I discovered more mold spots, this time buried deep within the buds. Unfortunately, all the larger colas were affected, forcing me to take the buds almost completely apart. In the end, I managed to salvage 21 grams of pure, healthy buds without any mildew. I also set aside 6 grams of “quarantine” buds, which I’ll dry separately. Sadly, I lost 13 grams to mildew—a tough blow, but one of the harsh realities of outdoor growing. It’s disheartening, especially since three other friends experienced similar losses this season. Honestly, I’m not sure what I could have done differently, aside from discarding the plant earlier. But even with these setbacks, if the cured buds taste as good as they smell, I’ll still consider this grow a success. The genetics from Fastbuds proved to be solid, and I recognize that the challenges I faced were largely due to environmental factors and my own decisions. This was a learning experience, and despite the issues, I'm happy with what I've achieved.

All right so here we are and again I am shocked by how much abuse this girl has taken not only by me but by the medium it originated in which killed another plant so this girl at a young age had to be tough and that willingness to live and resilience has gotten us to where we are today.. WEEDSEEDSEXPRESS big thank you to you as this grow has been 24 years in the making.. since an amateur grower in Bridgeport Connecticut very close to where I was born handed this clone over to someone who has kept it alive for all these years and not only am I able to smoke it but I'm able to grow it how awesome is that... Back in 2000 I was 14 at the time and I had a subscription to high times that my mom got me and my room walls were covered with bud shots and posters one of them being a centerfold of strawberry cough and it has been something since that day I have yearn for.. as you guys can see she's coming along great and I couldn't be happier... I think in the future I'm not going to train so much because it just takes so much time for the plant to recoup and I'd much rather have a 3-month grow than a 5 month.. but because of what it is I will make an exception this time I don't care if it took 7 months this has been like I said a long time coming...
