8/21/2024 Added two fresh gallons with week 4 nutrients to bring the reservoir up to 750ppm. Will plan to do a more substantial water change in the next few days. Both plants are booming! Added the trellis netting to begin training the plants to fill the tent! This week should be interesting. 8/24/2024 Both plants are looking good up to this point. Have continued to add fresh nutrient water as they are drinking much more now. I have a second trellis net on hand as I believe it will be required for an aditional layer of support as they stretch into pre-flower. Looking like a 4.5 or 5 week veg before flipping. 8/25/2024 Noticed Plant B water level was only a few inches in the bottom of the bucket. Had a pump flow rate issue with most of the feed from the reservoir diverting to the closer bucket. Working to rectify the issue, but Plant B is definitely stunted, unfortunately. 8/27/2024 The water level issue was remedied by putting a separate pump and feed line in place for each plant. Continuing to defoliate as I prepare to take clones. I will likely run this week of veg a few extra days to allow Plant B to recover a bit from the water issues. Additionally, after taking clones I will give 1-2 days of recovery for the plants before switching to 12-12 and starting pre-flower! 8/29/2024 Raised the lights to drop DLI to about 30. Continuing to monitor water level issues. 8/30/2024 Did a final pruning on both plants before flipping to flower tomorrow. Started topping reservoir with bloom nutrient blend. Shortened light cycle by 2 hours to not shock the plants into flower. Added a second layer of trellis netting. Plant A (larger of the two) is absolutely thriving, plant B (smaller of the two) is bouncing back from the water level issues earlier this week! Both plants are looking ready for flower.

Most of the week was spent setting up the hydro grow. Needed to build a DIY chiller since air temp in our grow room is hot, and water needs to be a good deal colder. Fridge from kijiji, garden hose, fittings, and submersible pump all in were under $100 but knowing what I know now I'd likely go with a thermoelectric chiller (DIY, with power supply and temp controller) next time around. Looking forward to tracking metrics and seeing how it goes :). Seems there's a lot of contradiction in terms of level of nutrients recommended, max water temperature, using H2O2 to boost water temp that can keep algae and rot at bay, etc. Got my hands on some Hydroguard via Amazon... despite local shops saying you can't get it in Canada... so I'm going to go with that instead of H2O2 to start, despite water temp getting up above 21 C (70 f) during the day. Fingers crossed. Update - keeping water reservoir tank under 20 C now by using reflective bubble wrap insulation on the reservoir itself and pipe insulation as well. It's a 10 C difference from the room temp, so I'm SUPER pleased with that.

Well that was fun. First time delving into the homegrown world and I’m officially hooked. Following the cocoforcannabis nutrient schedule and method, I ended up with 200 grams of dry bud and an extra 40 grams of trim/larf for edibles. I may have had them in the dry tent for a day too long, the hygrometers in the jars have settled around 54% RH, but they feel pretty damn sticky and moist to me. Been toking the larf and the high is really nice, definitely smoother than anything I’ve gotten from a dispensary. Can definitely taste the 🍇 and I’m excited to see what a little more cure will do. Already have my seeds ready for round 2, thanks for checking out the grow!

Start of Week 7! Day 44 - 12/12 Big difference in the two Cali Snow plants! The centre "Plant 1" is well along in the flowering process with obvious bud sites forming along the small amount of LST I've been able to get going. Got a bit more stretch out of it but it looks like she's settling down but the sativa flowering of this strain is noticeably behind the indica LSD-25 planted same day in my other diary. The other girl "Plant 2" that is far left and was cooked under the dome early in the grow seems to still be in a pre-flower phase and I'm actually getting a lot of decent stretch/growth in the secondary sites. I'll keep an eye on it for the next week to see if I have to set it off myself with a 12/12 cycle but there are a few pistils here and there. Hopefully it's just a little set back in its timing because it's going to turn out to be the biggest of all 3 plants I have going now. Will have the best veg base for flowering for sure. Hopefully I won't have to set it to 12/12 and rob the other two plants I have further along in flower of a few hours of light a day. Gave another feed with upped nutes but still playing it on the low side. Going up a little each feeding and no signs of burn on any of the girls yet. Making sure I'm chasing feeds with plain water and spraying the top layer with plain water here and there to keep any build up at bay; Since the girls aren't big enough for full pot runoff feeds due to small size. Day 48 - 12/16 You can see how different the timing on the two Cali Snow are. I'm loving the extra time with Plant 2 to set up bigger secondary branches and the pistils still seem to be SLOWLY forming near the top and mature sites. In an attempt to avoid switching her to 12/12 to fully trigger the flower, I've let the temperature drop down a bit to the high teens with the light on by lettering in the winter air and keeping the tent open with lights on. Hopefully the lower temp here and there over the next couple days will get it moving. Plant 1 is well along in it's flower. The bud sites are well defined and the stretch seems to be wrapping up bringing it in just a bit bigger than my small LSD-25 in my other diary going right now. Pulled it out and reset some new LST on the plant with a less drastic lean. Clipped a few fan leaves and 3 fingers from the two Cali's, anything blocking light or bunching up too much but tried to leave as much as possible for energy production. The classic Cali Snow smell I was warned about is starting to come in. Even P2 with little to no flowers is throwing off a nice scent. Still tent contained without exhaust for now so no worries on that front. Day 50 - 12/18 Gave them their biggest feeding today in both nutes and volume. Both split a mix of 1ml each PH Perfect MGB with 1tsp Molasses in a gallon of water with a half gallon plain water chase. First time the plants have been big/thirsty enough for a run-off feeding. Will spray top layer in a day to clean top layer of any residue then top with D-Earth sprinkle to let sit until next feed. These girls have gone from identical to fraternal twins. P2 on the left is looking more like the plant I wanted in terms of size and spread. The set back in flowering time has really allowed me to train it up and get lower branches up to a pseudo-canopy. It looks like it's FINALLY about to make the final switch as the still bright pre-flower tops are starting to shoot more pistils and new leaf growth has that telltale upward point as the spread comes to an end. P1 is full flower swing is chugging along nicely as I opened her up main stem up with some selective defoliation and the thin sativa bud structure is slowly but surely coming in. As a new grower, seeing the fatten/faster Indica flower of my LSD-25 right next to the Sativa on the same schedule is a great observational experience. 👽 The smell of the two Cali Snows are finally starting to ripen up. 2/2: Some of the huge fan leaves had to go. Not even the strongest of tucking would control them. Flowering is officially starting! Trying to rotate to get as much light to bud sites as possible. Excited to see where things go with this one. 2/5: determined that there was a bit of a light burn situation. Decided to pull her from the tens for a good flushing and then rearranged the tent a bit to keep her off to the side a bit. 2/7: she's a big girl. I have her flying solo in the tent for now..

This week in thailand is very hot. temperature about 34 - 37 °C ( 93 - 98 °F). 😵😡 and my grow tent about 35 °C and if i don't have exhaust fan (size 8 inch) it's gonna be bad thing happen on my plants.

Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is over, so let’s see what it looked like last week. Watermelon Auto reached 61 cm, meaning it began to stagnate in growth. It is nicely branched and wide, it is full of leaves so I will need to do a little cleaning soon. I have yellow-brown spots on the lower leaves and the leaves are totally decaying, since I give her nutrients like her roommates Purple Punch, I’m not sure what the cause is. It could be over feeding, but also a lack of some element. All in all, the “Farm” is now a real jungle, along with Watermelon, there are also her two roommates, Purple Punch, so each of them is fighting for as much light as possible. The humidity in the Box is still lower than I would like, the temperature is good. Let's see what the week looked like: 24/02/2021 - Day 29. Watering. I regulated, that is, lowered the p.H. at 6.4 and put 1 Easy Bloom Tablet, on 7 liters of water. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.8 degrees and 42% humidity. 27/02/2021 - Day 32. Watering. I adjusted the p.H to 6.4 and added BioBizz as scheduled for the second week of flowering. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.9 degrees and 35% humidity. 02/03/2021 - Day 35. Watering and height measurement. This time I did not add any nutrients but only regulated p.H at 6.3. Height Watermelon Auto - 61 cm. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 39% humidity. Today is day 5 of flower. I have been tying them down this week and defoliating every second day. Yesterday I turned off the autopots so i can water then with bio enhancer , once that dry out. Apart from that plain sailing.
