So this is day 40 of flowering,I had a slight PH issue with the Lionheart (Granddaddy Crack) plant which is the light green plant, back right. I was able to fix the PH issue by flushing with 6.0 Ph'd water. Other than that everything is looking beautiful. Lot's of trichome development and the buds are setting nicely.The Malawi plant at the back left (tall 100% sativa) is also starting to set beautifully. Malawi has a long flowering time (up to 70 days!) which means the colas will be huge hopefully.

Hmmm. Was overall a very hard plant to grow for me. I hit a hard road on her & she's very difficult pheno to grow for me. I HST'ed her as her tops stretched really far away from the bulk of the foliage at the bottom. Was really weird. So, I had 4 top bud sites that were 20cm away from the bottom after her flip stretch before pre flower. So, HST'ed the tops and they gave back rock hard buds. At the end. That all finished really well.

All going good for my first grow. Not entirely sure how long left, maybe a week or 2?

Good growing week, updates in the video. Audio is a bit shit at the start but does get better. Didn't mention in the vid but I did give them a small defoliation a few days ago, just leaves impeding undergrowth and nothing crazy, 2 or 3 of each plant

The plants seem to be responding well with once a day watering instead of two for now. D2 Plants are looking good. Little bit of yellowing on new growth. Watering every other day. Pots have been feeling heavy for daily watering. D6 Pots are drying out quicker. Might have to start watering daily. D7 Ran out of Stackswell, using soft water with Veg+Bloom and Athena Cleanse. Watering and feeding once a day 1 hour after lights on. PPFD 300.

🇺🇸Week 3🇺🇸 – Growth Explosion & First Training Back again for this week’s update! The Mother Gorilla is going crazy—she’s growing at an insane pace, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The plant is super strong, and the leaves are just massive. Some are reaching up to 21 cm long, which is wild. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. And honestly, I have to say—I’m seriously impressed by Formulex from Growth Technology. I’ve been using the same nutrient solution since the start, and the results are just insane. It’s such a simple product, but what it’s delivering so far is absolutely incredible. I’ll be switching to growth fertilizers soon (they’re on the way), but for now, I’m sticking with Formulex, and it’s honestly blowing my mind. Environmental Conditions Not much has changed on that front. The environment is still dialed in: • Temperature: ~22-23°C during the day, 18°C at night. • Nutrient solution temp: Holding steady at 17-18°C. • pH levels: Hovering around 5.8-6.0—had to adjust it slightly during the week, but nothing major. It’s stable overall. • VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit): Still around 0.6, which seems to be working well. As long as it stays below 0.8, I think we’re in the sweet spot. • Humidity: Holding at 70%. Everything’s been pretty stable, and it looks like the plant is loving it. Major Work This Week – Defoliation & Topping This week was huge in terms of plant training. The foliage was getting super dense, so I went in for a heavy defoliation, removing all the big fan leaves. On top of that, I topped the plant—cut the main shoot to redirect energy towards the secondary branches. The goal is to push those side branches so they can take full advantage of the SCROG I just set up! Now, it’s all about recovery. Hopefully, she bounces back strong, and we can really start working that SCROG. Alright, that’s it for this week! Let’s keep an eye on things and see how she responds. J’ai aussi topé la plante—j’ai coupé l’apex principal pour rediriger l’énergie vers les branches secondaires. L’idée, c’est de booster les secondaires pour qu’elles profitent à fond du SCROG que je viens d’installer ! Maintenant, elle doit récupérer. J’espère qu’elle va repartir de plus belle et qu’on va vraiment pouvoir bosser ce SCROG. Voilà pour cette semaine ! On garde un œil sur tout ça et on voit comment elle évolue. During week 12 all plants continue to get ripe and the leaves get more and more yellow fade. This is a good thing at this point, since that means the plants are FLUSHED properly and all BIO NOVA nutrients and sugars inside the plant-matter are used up. ONLY A WELL FLUSHED PLANT SMOKES SMOOTHLY WHEN DRIED!!! Since I plan to smoke these buds as my medicinal cannabis against my chronic back pain, I am extra keen on well flushed buds! All my genetic treasures GLISTEN WITH TRICHOMES NOW! Its a beautiful sight and makes me smile every time I see them. The aroma coming from the tent is overwhelmingly strong now and makes my mouth water. Since almost all the pistils have turned brown now, it is time to check the trichomes, if the plants are ready to harvest. I take a hand-held microscope and carefully look at a top-bud. The trichome-heads I see, are all milky now and some of them have turned amber. Thats the perfect time to harvest, since its PEAK-THC now. When all trichome heads have turned milky the THC-content is at its highest, when they start to turn amber, THC breaks down again. The more AMBER TRICHOMES you have, the MORE SEDATIVE a plant gets and then it will make you MORE SLEEPY when you smoke it. The SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs have done an OUTSTANDING JOB! The quality and amount of top-grade medicinal buds I have grown under them is MUCH BETTER THAN UNDER HPS. I can only STRONGLY RECOMMEND the SANlight LEDs...the new EVO-series works GREAT! At the end of week 12 (=after 9 weeks of flowering) its time TO HARVEST MY GENTIC TREASURES!

The plants have taken to their Earthboxes, especially #1 with the BuildASoil Light. The Earthbox with my Coots mix was the runt, plus I damaged the roots during transplant so it has an uphill battle, but I wouldn't count it out yet. It was looking droopy and with slight discoloration, but after a drench of Kashi Blend Tea (1/3 cup Kashi Blend, 1 teaspoon blackstrap molasses in 1 gallon of water for 24 hours) it perked right up. As for preventative pest management, I've kept doing foliar applications every 4 days of EM-FPE -> EM-1, next week I will incorporate the just-finished EM-5. I made a JADAM wetting agent (JWA) but I have realized even local bottled water is too mineral-heavy for it, so I will need to find a source of distilled water if I want to use it in my foliar regime. Next week I will begin doing LST to get some more tops going. At some point I plan to add a trellis, I have been busy with work but I will find the time to set up something, preferably a trellis that can move with the Earthbox to facilitate maintenance and not have them fixed in place for the entire training and flowering cycles.

2.17.2024: End of week 3. Plant is heathy and doing well. Pistils are showing and def in the preflower stage. Would wager there will be noticeable bud development at the end of this week. Still no nutes given although i would have to imagine its getting to be that time. No defoliation yet, only slight LST to the bottom branches. 2.18.2024: Start of week four from seed. Holding course. 2.19.2024: Day 31 from seed. Plant is drinking more. Gave 64oz at 6.4ph. Run off ppm was 1450 at 6.6ph. Essentially 4 full weeks from seed before i need to start feeding. Next watering will contain nutrients. 2.20.2024: Plant is doing its thing. Firmly in the preflower/early flower stage. Growing 1/2 to 1 inch a day it seems like. Still can't bring myself to do any defoliation. 2.21.2024: Day 33 from seed, 29 from sprout. Picked up the pot this morning and it was very lite so i gave it another 64oz at 6.3ph. No run off this time which tells me they are starting to need more water or i need to up the frequency. Still no nutes in 33 days! The branches of the top 2 large fan leaves this morning were sagging a bit with a touch of purple on the stems. Chalking that up to water but will monitor as we progress. 2.22.2024: Besides white tips on top growth, steady as she goes. I'll post a pic of the white tips. No idea how to solve. Plant is totally in flower but since we're almost at the end of week 5 from seed, i'll keep the diary in "flower." 14.5 inches from soil to top. Would love to see these get to 24 inches by the end. 2.23.2024: Upped water to 96oz at 6.4ph. About 2 cups of run off at 6.4ph and 1500ppm. Original soil still has nutes to offer at day 35 from seed.

The sun is starting to show some love. The plant is a bit bigger.
