Tag 32: Die Pflanze hat sich ordentlich gesteckt diese Woche.

Week 2 day 1 plant is just happy but I would love to see some faster vegging. Day 2 Fan adjustment today, felt like the plant was getting little windburn ( slight curling on the edge and dry/rough leaves) Day 3 Added Horn- Bonemeal mix as Top dress today. It’s really fine grained so I hope this is going to help out with N + P in flower stage Day 4 Plant still not ramping up. My guess is the roots are not developed well enough to get to the edge of the pot where the majority of the pre fertilized soil is at Day 5 Drained the whole pot with 1l rainwater and tested run off water. It’s at 6.3ph. Hopefully the plant can reach all the nutrients now. I will add compost tea in about 3weeks. I need to wait for the compost to finish first at least partly. Next grow will be better for sure when I’m more prepared. Day 7 LST

Start of week 5, the girls are looking promising. Trichome production is in full flow now, leaves and buds getting very frosty. Slowly increasing the EC in 0.1 increments to avoid overfeeding and nutrient burn but still push the genetics. Also added a dehumidifier to help keep the humidity down and in range. Although not a whole lot to do, pH and EC parameters are still very important. Will be checking in, the next few days.

New grow , New seeds just been put in water for 24hr then they will be put in paper towel for another 24hr before being planted straight into coco with some mykos an inch or two under. I will update in 48hr. 16/07/18 - all three seeds germed fine all with 1cm+ tails and planted in 80/20 coco/perlite mix with some mykos mixed in and a layer of it 1-2 inch down from where seeds were planted. I watered them each with 600ml roughly before planting and will update when they break through. 18/07/18 - 48hrs since seeds where planted and can see first set of true leaves already, I’ve got a steady 60-70% humidity and staying at 24 degrees Celsius. I’m going to spray them tonight with some ph’ed water with a tiny bit of rhizo.

Welcome to my MilkyWay F1 Auto Diary, Untopped VS topped. Results are in. Days 71-82 ripening 0-13 week 11&12 Went well. She did bulk up a tad. But not much. They spent most their lives under a 100w. But, the bud is really dense all over. No larf, at all. Its a really good quality of bud I'm getting from both phenos. As far as ToppedVsUntopped well, that result is in. With a seeds used from the same pack (same parent) making true F1s as they need to be from the same batch. It why we all got different phenos, and those who ran more than 1, from their seeds, the phenos are very close. One of mine had more of a fade and looks more purple. Both smell very lovely & fruity. Nice trichome production with very dense but, rather small buds if I do say so. But the grade itself is very high. (As grade is not rated on size) overall both turned out very similar. Even fade wise, they've both developed a lovely colour finishing under high co2 environment with the SE5000 really has brought out a lot of fade i normally do not get. look at the start. It was only a few days under this light and the past 14 days they've both popped. I will also say. A lot of their life was spent under a 12-12 (3/5s of flowering). Topped VS Untopped pheno 2 & 1 Are very similar as I've stated this area will be filt in with harvest comments. Bud smell. How the dry went. And after a weeks cure. I'll rate it. So watch this space. These 2 phenos have been on just water for 10 days. I did a quick run off test. Got back 145ppm my tap is 110. So, they're good to go. Trichome wise. 95% cloudy 30-35% amber. (Hard to see, I'll try get pics with my scope) but, as you see. Both are fully ripened. Anymore and its just bud deg. Both plants leaves are showing end of life. Some are dying. (I'VE BEEN WATCHING THESE LEAVES AND SEEN THEY'VE BEEN DEAINED, ITS NOT BR) Lights The SE5000 was used for the Ripening phase. With high temps and co2 i pushed my boundaries and got a lovely fade reaction from doing so. How I know its down to this light as I've put my Runtz under it. And as soon as I did. It developed fade. My Frosted G even started getting light purple on its sides. The temp in tent has been pushed to 31-33c (that's not leaf temp as I've fans blowing on my plants, and that lowers surface temps by a few degrees.) They've been on 17hrs of high powered light. At 25-30cm id no choice. My temps are mad high this time of year. Harvested Both plants are been pult they're getting their last few hrs. You'll then see the last few pics in a few hrs. I'll get bud shots later, smoke reviews and then to be fair. I'll then mark it by the GD rating system. As I do with all my strains. (So I've 2-3 wk delay in my diaries as they're Harvested, mostly) both plants I'll try push them as far as I can through the drying process whole. But, as I'm dealing with high temps. Lower RH and a fastercl dry is pref to a longer dry in hot conditions might not make sense, but 30+ hot weather harvests, I've got this down. Mind you only this round all my other hot harvests some took a few weeks to rid the hay smell. This avoids it and locks in potency. Most of the drying is done by leaving the plant in the substrate just before the plant goes for itself for fluids. 4-5 day dry as opposed to 5-6 day dry with weed that loses half its stenght. (dry harvesting look it up) Thanks to James from RQS, although I know everyone and their sister got the offer for these seeds I am defo going to be trying more from RQS, if it's buying. I'll get round to it, and depending on the quality of smoke it might be soon. If its a real nice auto, I'd love to try a fem of theirs for my winter crop in October. But, that'll depend. I've lots I want to buy & try.. and when favs are found. I'll invest. I would like to thank everybody for the activity this diary has gotten. Its possibly one of my most active diaries I've done without a harvest. And that's in no short means down to all the views and likes from you guys. And for sure I will fully complete it, with results on the smoke Quality from both phenos, if it varies, but, results thus far, structure wise they're shockingly similar. Scary so. Topping has very little affect to the structure. She grew a main cola. But both phenos, turned puples I will say the topped one was a more troublesome plant. Maybe that had a role onin its morphology. And maybe it'll affect the bud also. The topped was more demanding nutrient wise, and drank more. Maybe to support a more even bud load. (I've yet to do a through inspection, but on the VS front, it's kinda in the air about quality, structure wise, it had very little difference. Look for yourself at the heights are 3-4cm dif) lots still to come. And I'll update it soon with more results. Very interesting how this one is flowering, she is staying low and fat stems with small chunky buds in the making, lots of trichomes on fan leaves and Calyxes will be fat and in a circular fashion exactly like a ball, or a flower like a rose. She is very healthy and resistant to stress but on the low side she does not smell much and this surprise me due to her look but maybe terpenes will develop later hopefully! Just water this week, decided to water from the bottom, not from the top, I am hoping this will reduce chance of overwatering....

This week is going great. Transplanted the ladies into their 7 gal pots, amended with Gaia Green. They are doing good after being transplanted.

Last week plants grew very healthy, as they got bushier the humidty raised providing a better enviroment, I could even reduce the amount of water I give them. Planning to move to flowering stage very soon.

Week 4: Growth Spurts and New Challenges Continued Growth and Health As we move into the fourth week, the plants are showing impressive growth. Their leaves are a lush, vibrant green, and the stems are becoming stronger. The transition to the larger 11-liter fabric pots has clearly paid off, providing the roots with ample space and better aeration. Adjusting Nutrient Levels Given their positive response to the nutrients, I decided to continue with 2/3 of Terra Aquatica Tripart feeding schedule, adjusting slightly to meet their increasing demands. Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This upcoming forecast is excellent news for my plants, as I anticipate a final growth spurt before flowering begins. Every centimeter of growth counts at this stage, and I'm optimistic about maximizing their potential under these favorable conditions. Strengthening with Wind Exposure On days with good weather, I move the plants out of the greenhouse to expose them to natural wind. This practice helps strengthen their stems, improving overall stability. Additionally, the wind creates a more challenging environment for pests, helping to keep them at bay. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. Thanks guys for your advice 👍 Monitoring and Care My daily routine involves checking the plants every morning and evening. This includes: Monitoring the moisture level of the coco mix. Inspecting the plants for any signs of pests or nutrient deficiencies. Growth Observations The plants are responding well to the controlled environment and balanced nutrition. They are growing rapidly, with new leaves appearing almost daily. The stems are thickening, and the overall structure of the plants is robust and healthy. Looking Ahead As we head into week 4, I am optimistic about the continued growth and health of my plants. The combination of a stable environment, appropriate nutrient levels, and diligent care is proving successful.
