Hello Growmies, As we round up week 5 with our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid by Zamnesia, the growth has been nothing short of impressive. The choice to employ low-stress training (LST) rather than topping has paid dividends, with the plants responding well to the gentle guidance of their growth, seamlessly integrating into the SCROG setup. This method has allowed for an even canopy spread, optimal light penetration, and air flow, which is critical for the health of the plants and ultimately the yield. Observing the Watermelon Candy's development, we see a testament to our cultivation methods. The vibrant green leaves reaching skywards, the sturdy stems, and the strategic placement of each branch in the SCROG—every detail points towards a successful vegetative phase. In terms of environmental control, we've applied the lessons learned from our other strains, maintaining a stable and ideal VPD during the day with the Tent-X system. The nights, however, have brought forth the same challenges we've faced with other strains, showing fluctuations in VPD levels. The integration of the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is anticipated to solve this, and we are optimistic that this change will bring about the consistent conditions needed for the Watermelon Candy's continual thriving. Even with the small hiccup in the nighttime environmental control, the plants are flourishing. The robust health they exhibit is a sign they're ready for the flowering phase, and we expect nothing less than a bountiful harvest. And while we've experienced a bit of frustration with Secret Jardin and Mars Hydro for the integration challenges, we appreciate TrolMaster's efforts to assist. We are hopeful for a resolution soon, or we may revert to the reliable Prima Klima setup. The Apple Cup hermied this week along with the Baker's Dozen. Fortunately Tropicanna Poison is flowering so fast that it seems to be unbothered by the hermies next to it. The hermied plants will be stunted as more energy will be focused on developing pollen/seeds. Also I'll have to chop them down early before any seeds begin to solidify within the buds. It's ideal to immediately remove any hermies as soon as pollen sacs are spotted. Unfortunately I only have my small closet space so I decided to leave them and observe the growth of hermies.

What a great week! We only gave them their nutrients once this week, and it seemed to be just enough for the girls. They're all fighters and are showing it every day. The greenhouse is starting to work in our favor during the day because when it was humid enough, the temperature was perfect. One of the girls, Osaka, started to grow rapidly, and we noticed that it may have been due to the fact that she was collecting the rainwater that had seeped inside the greenhouse. The rainwater had just the right pH to allow her to grow not only rapidly but beautifully. It was very unexpected at first, and now she's starting to look like our shining star. One of them, Ben, also looks like she's flowering a little, but we're not sure what to do since it's still a little early... Hoping for the best and, as always, hoping for rain!

Canopy is felling and the TSW2000 so far is not disappointing, have it higher at 85% power with gives me a 650ppfd in the center and 450 on the edges, with for this time is quite perfect. Day 29 (2020-06-07): Changed out reservoir (5.6 PH). Picked up some 3% H2O2 so added 3ml/gallon to help combat some of the growth I am getting. Also wiped down the outside of the fabric pots to kill the mold. Did some new LST and defoliation to even things out. CBD Crack is in pre-flower. The G14 might be a bit behind. Day 30 (2020-06-08): Reservoir PH around 5.65. Removed a leaf or two and did some tucking. Day 31 (2020-06-09): PH at 5.8. The G14 Blumat drip tube had gotten stuck in the dirt and was not dripping. Hand watered back to normal. Some slight LST adjustments to even things out and removed a few leaves. Day 32 (2020-06-10): PH at 5.96. Yellow leaf tips on newer growth haven't really gotten any better. I am also noticing some other yellow and brown spotting on older leaves. I am not as worried about the spotting since it is likely related to previous PH fluctuation that has been taken care of but I am now wondering if the yellow tips are something new. Maybe the start of nutrient burn? I do not believe it is light related since I adjusted this a few days ago. Day 33 (2020-06-11): After some helpful advice from the community I checked the calibration of my PH pen and found it off by about .5! This must have happened sometime in the last week or two but would explain the issues since as a result my PH was adjusted way to low (around 4.9 to 5). FIxed pen, flushed plants and changed out the reservoir. Hopefully things will get back on track. Also took the opportunity while I had the plants out to even out the LST and do some more defoliation. Day 34 (2020-06-12): Things are looking OK. I am not sure if the yellow on the tips will go away but it is not getting worse. Reservoir PH is at 5.75. Day 35 (2020-06-13): Res PH at 6.1 but slight smell. Probably will have to change out tomorrow. Things are looking good for the plants. G14 is definitely behind on flowering compared to the CBD.

Day 65. Heavy training in progress ... All done, hopefully not many natural protectors lost, took about 30 liters bag full off leaves and shoots, could do like 100 clones easy ;))) All girls lolitoped, cleared, defoliated, rewired, some had supercroping. Skunks were happy when last Cheese was done, so i think/hope - all will go smooth. This time i really cleared them a lot, maybe the most in my career ... Cheeses performed thicker and more stacked branches . Fun is starting !!! Day 66. Got my last puzzle of protection against thrips. I think i beat them already, yesterday haven't noticed any thrips on leaves, but i am old and blind ;))) They where ordered a week ago, so just in case ... Girls look just fabulous !!! I think it will be very nice harvest by bag appeal, hopefully weight will make me smile too ;)))) I still think to strip them hard at the end of week 5 or week 6 if they will delay in progress .... At the moment they are just perfect ! Day 69. Here comes my moan ;)) Stretch was not so big as i expected, looks like 80 is more real target than 100. They look very nice and healthy and i beaten thrips , but this time i cleared too much i feel ;))))) Future will show ... Happy Growing !!!

Branches couldn't manage the weight so everything caved in like dominoes smh. I decided to chop on rainbow cake to help with air flow. Humidity is at 45 degrees steadily but im not risking mold or mildew this late in the grow. I added Ripen to the nutrient regimen at 5ml per gallon.

Esta semana fue generalmente bien, salvo por los intentos de supercropping (primer intento) en 5 apicales de los cuales 3 de ellos estan bien, me imagino el supercropping funciono bien, salvo en la de la Royal Gorilla que siento que la doble mucho que casi se rompe, pero no le paso nada menos mal jajaja. La dosificacion nutritiva fue la misma de la semana pasada agregando 1 ml de top max junto con el riego de biobloom. Hasta el momento todo bien. Saludos!!
