Week 6 everything was on par with week 5 of flower however, girl #1 has officially pulled away from girl number #2. Girl #1 is 27 Inches tall while girl#2 is 16 inches tall. Toward the end of week 5 girl #1 started flowering and her bud sites are becoming more defined as she progress. I maybe be wrong but it seems like girl #2 maybe is slower and gonna flower in the next 2 weeks hopefully. She definitely is indica dominant with her short bushy stature. But, I thought the indica dominate pheno had fast flowering when compared to the sativa pheno. I did do some more defoliation of the fan leaves on each girl and any leafs blocking the light to increase the budsites potential. also I removed the more undeveloped lowers. Doesn’t looked to have stressed them out with all my defoliation. These ladies smell has increased very much. Everything is still on par with week 5. I’m very grateful to have this opportunity to have all you experienced growers view my diary. Thank you very much and it means the world to me seeing I have any views.

Started this week off strong. Decided to switch out the extra Grow Big for extra Tiger Bloom since it’s a lower concentration on N and higher P. New growth is a good color and no tip burning. Raised the lights and turned them up to 100% for the rest of flower. Sour Kush is starting to stink up the tent! NCH is looking like she wants to finish soon, but buds haven’t fattened up and trichomes are still a mixture of clear/milky. Feed pH 6.2, EC 1.8. Water pH 6.3, EC 0.8.

Glad to have gotten what I did. Small harvest. But it wasn't about that for me. I done a huge number of crops to hone in what traits I like. And now I pick with much more by looking at the genes and what went into making it.

Day 28 update: I think the light was too close to the plant, so I increased the distance to 50cm. It should help with the stretch of lower branches. Then I switched to Advanced Nutrients feed chart, adding 4ml/L of A+B formula and 2ml/L of other additives (for every liter in the reservoir). This made the ppm go crazy. Let’s see what happens, but I don’t like these unclear instructions. Ph Perfect keeps the ph stable for just a few hours, and they don’t say anything about ppm. Bad! Day 30 update: LST session + defoliation on fan leaves that were hiding lower branches. Day 32 update: transplanted to her final 20L AirPot (from a 5L one)! Added some michorrizhae as well where I placed the plant. Since I got a bigger pot, now it’s 250ml of solution every hour, instead of the previous 125ml. Day 34 update: immediately stopped using Advanced Nutrients feed chart (from their calculator) because I had that crazy 3100 ppm in the reservoir and noticed a small sign of overfeeding on a leaf in the top. I removed part of the solution and added tap water back until I got about 800 ppm. NOT HAPPY! Day 35: LST! Again

Week 7 of Veg for these beautiful Apple Betty ladies! It was a stressful week for the girls but they made it❤️ Day 44 - I decided the girls had outgrown their 2 gallon nursery pots and were ready to move on. After a quick cleanup of the stems close to the base, they were ready to go. I like to keep my soil in a Rubbermaid bin, either with a fan lightly blowing, or the exhaust line from my tent blowing at it. Since I started doing this, I have not had any gnats or pests in my grows, of course with regular cleanings and IPM…my mix is Promix HP with about 20% worm castings added to it. This time around, I decided to use some Dynomyco to increase the mycorrhiza count of my Promix HP. This will increase root development by adding all kinds of interconnected webbing and allow for better uptake of nutrients overall. Within an hour or so all of the ladies were transplanted ❤️ x2 in 7 gallon fabric pots, and 1 in a 5 gallon fabric pot ( the 5 gallon will finish in my 2x4 tent) Once the girls bounce back and take hold of their new forever pot, I will be setting up my custom “floating” SCROG net and allowing them some time to get bent and tucked all nice snug before I flip to a flower schedule. Well it took 2 seeds to get a sprout. 1st seed was a dud, or is really slow to germinate. She just sprouted, and seed husk was still hanging on. She is looking good so far. 🤞🏻everything stays on track. June 20th - all plants get a visit this week Updates start tonight. 22nd, prepping to make a tea for Fridays visit to PurpsBerry etc. Shaping the plants backwards, towards the Hillside will be the goal. Clean the hillside a minimal amount, not wanting to lose the wonderful camouflage it provides. We are looking to pull the plants tops northward almost to the ground, forcing the side-Branches into becoming Cola’s. Do it with 2nd opinions… making a Bush, thats the goal. It’ll Help achieve a lb per plant

FEEDING Plant was given the same nutrient solution as previous week two times per day DIARY This week was probably the worst week of them all in terms of all the problems that happened. Everything started on Day 146 when strong winds were capable of knocking down my plant two times. Plant wasn't demaged but it is a scary experience to see your plant basicaly up side down. Because of strong winds I was forced to move the plant to the different location. While moving one of the dominant branches snapped. I addresed the issue by taping the crack together with tape and securing the branch to the support ring with a metal wire. It was a major damage with an easy fix. The night between days 146 and 147 was accompanied with strong winds and a lot rain. This combination of wind and rain resulted in damage (half of the plant just gave up and bended to the ground) that could be easily fixed just by installing trellis before the flowering started. To prevent the further bending and support the flowers when they start fattening, I wrapped the plant into plastic wire. This was not an easy job so help from a friend was a necessity. When the plant was wrapped I pulled the flowers through the netting and did some rearrannging. The problem with bending was solved, but I discovered some other problems when closely inspecting the buds. First problems were the seeds. Yes some seeds were found. This was probably my fault because I visited the hemp farm and brought home the pollen on my clothes that could produce the seeds. It could also be the fact that I am growing outdoor and the pollen came from copletely different source. Some seeds, while growing outdoors are just inevitble. There was one more thing. I was suspicious about brown tops of some buds. Because I was affraid of what it was, the brown, not so good looking flower was cut off and closely inspected. I was angry to discover the caterpillar. I did a search of all the buds and found one more rotting bud and cut it off. I suspect that they are still there. I will inspect the plant every two days to hopefully find them and prevent the further demage. WEATHER Days 141-145 This days were sunny with daily temperatures around 26 °C. Night temperature were averaging at 15 °C. Days 146-147 Last two days were harsh. It was cloudy with average temperatures at 14 °C. Day 146 also had very strong winds. Day lenght this week has decreased to 12 hours and 10 minutes.

She is looking nice and healthy, no issues to report. I transplanted her on the last day of this week into 3 gal pots. Upped the nutes by 1ml per gal which is still about half the guides schedule. Will be starting co2 in 7-10 days is my guess. She isnt the biggest lady in the tent but shes battling for second, nice and healthy indeed.
