Welcome to the Week 10, Day 70 update for the Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Autoflowering grow. Not much to talk about this week as the last two plants remaining in the tent are on cruise control to harvest. I used fertilizer for the final time at the beginning of Week 10 and it’s flush time for these plants until the big chop! They are still being watered every 4th day and they are still drinking about 3.5 litres per plant per watering (0.875 of a litre per plant per day). These remaining two plants have virtually no Powdery Mildew so I am only defoliating as needed if the leaf is already dying. All of the pistols/hairs have turned orange and are receding back into the buds so I’m guessing that harvest will be in Week 11. I have included a brief video above with my photos showing pretty much everything used during this grow. I wanted to give people a quick look at how simple it really is to grow and harvest your own high quality cannabis. Hope you enjoy! I will post next time with my final harvest update- this might take a short while as I generally prefer to know the final dry bud weight as well as having some great photos of the dry, uncured product. Been wanting to try out this auto ghost og from original sensible seeds for a while and finally got the opportunity to get one wet. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

6/24 this may be the last week. The screen recordings are of both plants (purple octane and rs11) they're both close. I also went back and did some math and the last week of veg, should've been first week of flower. I may let her go for 10 weeks. We will see how she looks throughout this week(trichs) 6/25 looking super close. All cloudy besides maybe 10% 6/29 will get in there with a microscope again. just waiting on her to ripen. can't tell if she's done, or at rhat point where she looks so good that she's done but then that last week the plant explodes. well see and yall will definitely hear about it.

This strain is absolutely amazing, it's very different from any haze or even blueberry, the smell it's exactly like a fruit cocktail smells, very very fruity and sweet, I'm crazy to see how this nuggets taste after being well dried and cured boys and girls! At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Purple Ryder auto is growing great in the Agrogardens nutrition, under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. Her colas are starting to form as she stretches for the light. She got her solution changed today and a selective defoliation as well. I also trimmed out some lower parts so she can focus on the canopy. Everything is looking great at the moment. Today October 25th is the First day of Week 6 In Flower. Received the Refractometer and got right to pressing. First I tried a mortar and pestle to extract the sap -- this worked ok but took a lot of time and force. Then I tried 2 spoons held together and squeezed with vice grips (didn't work for me). 2 Pieces of MDF board squeezed together with vice grips didn't work either. I guess I'm not strong enough. Tried a blender, a hand blender...neither of these worked! Then the vice, it was faster and took less force to extract the sap. Works great! Took leaves from top to bottom of each individual plant. (16 plants) Rolled a few leaves up, put in a numbered piece of parchment and pressed.....voila...sap😃 Refractometer was already calibrated and ready to go. Placed sap on meter, held up to light and there it is! My first BRIX reading😮 using $28 Refractometer. Going to change base nutrients to a "hard water" formula. So impressed with Harley Smith that I've ordered some NPK RAW products. Like the idea of micro dosing. I sent Harley an email and he replied the same day! Not a canned response either. So cool. Thanks Harley! AND he took a look at GrowDiaries and this grow✊😃 What a kind gentleman. 😇 Hope I didn't go overboard but I watered again today with amino acids and cal mend to try to fix this Calcium def. Will Brix leaves tomorrow and see if this makes a difference. The brix line yesterday was very clear and very easy to read indicating a calcium def. Maybe locked out from too much phosphorous or hard water? Watered Oct 29 & 30 Temp 20 PH 6.4 EC 1.9 Runoff EC 1.9 to 2.3 after at least 2-3 Gallons of water put thru each pot. Some pots Runoff were way off the charts😵EC 3.6! . Put water thru until EC hit 2.3 on 2 pots others were EC 1.9 to 2.1. Put 56 Gallons or 220L thru plants over a 2 day period until I reached a better EC.

so week 11.. The gorillaz are carrying on beautifully, however I realised having 5 plants sharing one reservoir is now quite a bad idea.. 2/5 of them look to be well into flower, fattening up and some tri's starting to turn cloudy but look like theres still plenty of fattening up to do. The other 3 are now just beginning to fully pistil up so will still be requiring flowering nutes when I should be beginning a flush on the other 2.. any comment or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!? The Stardawgs have basically grown into tennis balls. Such a vast majority of bud sites all the way down look so much larger than I could ever have hoped and i've had to tie some of the buds to the main colas!! I will Be starting the flush this week as most Tri's are now cloudy i'd say around 4/5 currently but more throrugh macros will be taken as the days progress. The only problem i've had is some of the sugar leaves on 2 of the plants have really taken a beating and show some strange signs. I think the LED's aren't to be under estimated and i've battled some burning and what seems to be calmag issues through the grow.

se acerca la ultimas semanas, esta semana se dejo de aplicar fertilizante con nitrogeno. se ve una translocacion sana hasta el momento. se espera que en las proximas semanas incremente el nivel de tricomas. Queda poco!!! Pd: pido disculpas a aquellos que siguen de cerca este diario, no pude actualizar a tiempo en las ultimas semanas, espero poder actuaizar de forma oportuna las ultimas semanas.

Had a good week. Started flowering. Julie and Jen had some lime green new growth but i upped the nutes and today they look much better. First pistils showed up on Julie and her canopy is coming along.
