D60. I'm back again after being out of town for six days. The tent was packed when I opened it! The girls had stretched more, and a couple of leaves were even touching the lights and had gotten burnt. They are now 125 cm tall. That's five times the height they were when I flipped to flower. Five times!!! I have never had a strain stretch this much, and I hope they are done now since there's no more room in the tent. I removed the fan and carbon filer and placed them outside the tent. It looks a bit stupid and is far from stealthy, but what to do? I moved up the lights as far as possible, but I will probably switch the lights with the one I have in my autotent. That light has a much lower profile, so raising it even further is possible. Should that not be enough, I will have to cut off some tops, but I hope it doesn't come to that. The first girl already has dark purple flowers, while the second looks more green with some purple. ------------------------------ D61. I opened the tent today, only to find that the second girl had stretched another 2 cm overnight! This is getting ridiculous, and I hope they stop soon. I super-cropped the tallest top, hoping it would slow down the stretch. A few hours later, she had already recovered. These genetics are nuts! In other news, my girlfriend found spider mites on her papaya plants that are in the same room as my tents. We immediately removed the plants from the room, and I started to scout my plants for an infestation. The good news is that I didn't find any spider mites. However, the bad news is that I found thrips on the lower leaves of the second girl. Ugh! I had thrips last grow season, and I guess some survived. The thrips were only on the lower part of the plant, so I defoliated the girls by removing a bunch of leaves and tiny branches down low and immediately threw them out of the apartment. Thrips don't like it humid, and since the buds are still tiny, I don't need to worry about botrytis yet, so I cranked up the humidity into the high 70s to low 80s. Finally, I ordered a bunch of lacewing larvae that will get here next week. They should eat the thrips and any spider mites that I might not have been able to find. ------------------------------ D63. The girls have slowed their stretch, BUT they are still stretching somewhat. I freaked out when I opened the tent today and saw they were taller, so I attacked them immediately and super-cropped the highest tops. I will switch out the lights next week, gaining me another few centimeters, which I hope will be enough. The VPD in the tent is way off, but I'm more interested in figuring out the light and getting rid of the thrips. Finally, I watered each girl with 2.5 liters of water L pH 6.1, with 10 ml humic acid and 5 ml Fermented Fruit Juice I made a few months ago. ------------------------------

Alright! This week is finally done and this will be the last vegetative growth week for the plants. Switching to flower tonight :D I have done some defoliation and a bit of lollipopping to the 3 plants, I was noticing the shadows where quite dark on the tent floor and the plants where not crazy tall so they needed to be managed, If I was outdoors I would just LST them some more and not worry about any of it but indoors the airflow is tight and it was needed, cleaning up the undercanopy was none negotiable or some bad things would have happened in flower. Mainly molds or worse WPM. I also removed the string supports I has on the plants when they broke from some LST I did a few weeks ago. In the stripping down of the plants I removed a lot of lower immature growths and took out some immature branches, I have all these sitting in a glass of water and will clone them out for shits and giggles, I think their is about 15 of them or more, maybe I will go and plant them aorund my neighbourhood in municipal planters. Plus now I can work in the topdressings that will be required in the upcoming weeks to keep these plants happy and healthy. Going to continue amending in some of the bokashi in the feedings as well as worm castings as they give off a nice ammount of microbes for the soil. I wish I had some of my LABs for this grow but I did not make any. The clones from before are doing fine, just did not take any pics of them. The butterwort is doing a fantastic job of eating up the gnats. I have some nematodes on hand for when its had its fill as I won't want them getting into the flowers as they ripening. Hey..next week the plant get the 35liter pot with same mix as the start pot...i add little helper seeds in the big pot to prevent some things like bugs and dry out to much from wind and sun....hope the sun gets brighter the next time...but for this hard conditions i would say..nice start. thanks ..... 4/25: It was extremely cold tonight, so I took the opportunity and took this time lapse shot over 3 hours... after 1 hour I added a drop of remaining osmosis water... and lo and behold, ten minutes later Calimero laid down his eggshell ... .now we can get started and I have that great shot that I've always wanted to take...sorry for the outside interruption, I couldn't miss it....in the evining after my work i kick her as instant out.....

Week 1 of flower!!! im excited and nervous at the same time. I was going to Veg for another week but there were a couple factors that made me want to flip. Last week I did a final transplant into my 7gal pots, 2 days later I start to see pistils. I am a new grower and was like oh crap did I just force her into flowering and gonna herm them since im still on 18-6 light schedule??? I am in a couple discords that are growing communities so i posted some pics and confirmed they are in fact pistils. This is my first grow and not only was I excited to start flowering but also scared im going to ruin them if I dont flip so I did. From more research this is called pre flower and I could have stayed in veg from what I have found but flipped anyways and please correct me if im wrong as Im still learning. The pics you see are day 3 wk1 of flower, I flipped the lights to 12-12 on night 2-29. The girls are already starting to stretch. IM really hoping that my little sour diesel dwarf stretches to meet the Purp and northern lights canopy or else I am going to need to find something to prop her up to meet them. As you can see in the pics I added my trellis netting. My plan was to hopefully get these girls to stretch enough and start filling in the squares. My goal is to fill every square with a flower site. It might be a bit ambitious but still gonna try. This is 2 fold, 1 allow spacing to open up the inner canopy and allow light into the depths of these girls to encourage those lower sites to reach the top. 2 support for the flowers as they mature. Yea they looking alittle bushy and I know I should defoliate but my thought was to wait until the stretch is done then do my full lollipop and remove alot of those fan leaves blocking bud sites and also get better air flow in there. My plan for nutrients is to top dress with my gaia green 4-4-4. power bloom 2-8-4 and worm castings every 2-3 weeks depending on how they take to it. I just hope this is enough. 22 December 2020 Both of these ladies are almost ready for harvest, not really much to update. Next week I will remove the scrog and and start flushing these ladies ladies for a week.

-Flowering is going well. Gunna try and test the ph of the runoff this week to see if I have an issue. -BC1 has some yellowing leaves near the top of the plant. -WW1 (the bushy plant) has had 2 major haircuts this week. I’m having a really weird issue with some upper leaves turning red! They’re turning red, not dying or falling off just turning red, it’s weird and only happening to this plant. -WW2 and BC2 are doing amazing! Pretty much all green except for the occasional old yellowing leaf -Time to pack on some weight -Midget has started to flower, doubt it will be ready before the cold, we’ll see what happens

the ladies can drink at least the 4 big girls can. the 2 smaller ones are coming along and of the 2 there is 1 runt of the litter. but it should be oj as well maybe make hash of the smaller 2 we will see. it is getting a little hot and humid in the tent. time to add some CO2 and turn on the dehumidifier to bring it back to 45 % RH during flower. enjoy the time lapse. see ya next week.
