Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. my first pak apparently got stressed and did not grow enough and apparently I go into flowering ... instead the second purple afghan kush grows very fast ... as if it were an automatic ... and its height is 101 cwntimeters. .. and both germinated the same day ... i am happy for the evolution of the second also to them will take out the maximum of height and fattening of its flowers ...

despite the high summer temperatures the balckdog is proving to be a very strong indica variety!

Sept 17th Her smell is amazing, you can smell she is a cousin of Sexbud but this one is much more fruity. Really has a specific odour to it, citrus but nothing like lemon or orange. Last time during sunshine I could even smell something like the bitternes you get from grapefruit, kind of amazing or just imagination. Can hardly wait for her to be cured and burp those jars. Today was a busy day, maroc got chopped because of mould infection. Outdoor grapefruit was also affected but this strain seems to be more resilient. structure of the buds is more spread over long branches and seems to be less susceptible to botrytis. Lemon kush on the other hand is getting real bulky and has mould pop up in some large main cola, I try to check them every other day and continue to cut off any infected parts and dead/yellow leaves. Hoping these babies make it all the way. 2 more days of rain, after that weather forecast predicts higher temperature and little to no precipation. Fingers crossed

The germination i forgot to take pictures so i just have a video of the first 3 strains i started before the other seeds arrived. I used the same metod for all of them 24h in the glass of water after that 48h in the cotton pads in the zip lock bag with 3 sprays of water on the cotton pads and 1 spray when inside the zip lock bag is closed untill 80% leaving a small gap for them to breath. I decided to plant them after that in the final resting pot for this strain in a 5 gallon fabric pot. I used the following media on the bottom of the fabric pot i used 10% of Goldlabel HydroCorn after filled up with Advanced Nutrients coco cultivator (50% coco 30% perelite 20% pebbles) and i mixed on the media some Azos , Mykos and Great White. The light schedule for the first 5 days was 24/0 and after that i change for 18/06 schedule. Just water the plants on the 15/06 i think all my seedlings are stuned because my light is too strong for them and the light is dimed to 25% waiting on my new seedling light the Spider Farmer SF1000EVO LED should arrive just on wednesday. And my light meter for lux is saying i have 8600Lux converted is 148 and my dli on meter from the phone is saying 150 so its 3x times more the recomended i just dont understand if this phone app is working correctly. Update on the order from spider farmer from Ebay (Order the item on a thursday and the order was not updated on ebay on the following Monday so decided to contact them to understand when i am gonna receive my order i was told true ebay that my item as been shipped and i will receive an update within 1 hour to tell what time the item will be delivered. So never received any message giving my time slot delivery. Never received the item and at 21pm the tracking updeted on Ebay saying delivered so i contected them next day to be told that the courrier actually lost my order and that they will reshippe the order again but was told i need to wait 2 buiness days for the warehouse to processe my order beacuse they are busy what i replied that why should be me the costumer that needs to wait 5 or 6 more days for the order to arrive to me that they should send me the item on the same day and send me with one day delivery. The ansewer was they could not do it so i cancell the order asked for a refund and never more use their products appailing costumer service)

Hey everyone :-). This week she continued to develop very nicely 😍. She was repotted and I started with LST training and topping 😊. to repot there was 2.5 g GHSC powder feeding to 1 l coco. The training took it very well and after 1-2 days it grew again immediately 👍. This time it will be an extreme bush 😂👍. It was poured directly after repotting Otherwise there is nothing to report this week. 420Fastbuds FBT2308/Week2 Weekly update for these 2. I started seeing some rust spots so I decided to add a little General Hydroponics Calimagic at 0.25tsp/gal to my feed. So far seems to stop. I also decided to start a very light dose of nutes General Hydroponics 3 part flora series at the same 0.25tsp/gal to every other feed to see how they'll respond. All in all Happy Growing.

Hi all just finished another week having trouble with humidity since fan went marshydro said they out of stock but will send me a new one the minute they have it in which is a month haha 😄 all be harvest by then hopefully god help neighbours that's all I can say haha bought a new dehumidifier off amazon a shit cheap one not even making a difference at all haha so today splashed out a 100 euro for one so hopefully that'll do the job. other than all looking good I think. But actually if someone could tell me will I defoliate more leaves she very bush bit I'm afraid of disturbing flower so im leaf tucking but she is very bushy haha. also im looking at other diarys on this and my plants buds not as big or as far along as many im on 9 weeks on the dot at the moment if anyone with more knowledge please let me know. Two weeks flew by, the stretch is on now. Defoliation at day 10 and I’ll do another in a week for the final strip. These unicorns and the Cactus Breath x Cherry Punch #3 are setting up nicely and should produce some nice flowers.

First real Touch with the system. Im using a quarter of what they recommend since im trying to Focus on their recommended EC. Everything dialed in lamp IS ramping up everyday by 3-4%.

Day 43 (Second Grow, Flowering Phase): Hey everyone! We’re well into day 43 of our second grow and deep into the flowering phase. 🌸 The transition has been amazing to witness, with our plants showing significant bud development. The plants are producing beautiful, dense buds, and it’s incredible to see the daily changes and the rapid development. We’ve been maintaining the humidity between 50-60%, but we’re keeping a close eye on it to prevent any issues. We’re considering whether to get a dehumidifier to bring it down to the ideal 40-50%. The SCROG net continues to work wonders, ensuring even light distribution and supporting the heavy buds. Our Timor shield mantis is still patrolling the garden, keeping pests at bay naturally. She’s become quite the guardian! The plants are looking healthy and vibrant. We're excited to see how they continue to develop over the coming weeks. Any tips or advice for optimizing this stage?
