The new AC Infinity S22 has arrived. Now there are 2 of them and both should support her pretty well. Let’s see, how she will finish. Day 60: With the second light in the tent, the temperature is quite high and around 25° C and I was not able to get the humidity to 60 % because the fan was running to fast and I don't want to use a humidifier in the flowering phase. So I decided to raise the temperature and humidity max levels. Let's see, how she likes this and what the avg. VPD will be at the end of the week. Day 61: Nothing to do today. Day 62: I removed some fan leafs. Also I noticed some days before, that she needs a bit more nutrients, so I added a bit more today to the reservoir. Maybe she has a bit of light stress. 2 of the S22 and at the nearest point only 20 cm is maybe a bit too much. So I lowered them to 80%. I hope that helps in addition. Day 63: Last day of the week. I hope lowering the LED to 80% helps her during the next week. It looks like light stress. it is stable in the wind, withstands hot days and continues to grow. it is showing the first signs of flowering. i think it will go into full bloom next week. she still has 2 months before i move. i hope she makes it. she gets fertiliser every 2 days.

Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow print👍. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give them👌. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings here👍. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problem🤞. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Day 78, I switched plant #2 to an all PK diet with FloraFlex Full Tilt. She’ll take up the whole 3.5 gals of nutes by Wednesday. I’m then going to begin my 3 day flush Wednesday evening. And I will chop her on Saturday evening. I also took a little sample nug off plant #2 just want to compare non-flushed to flushed weed. Also see how much they shrink in size. Day 79, Plant #2 is on schedule to start flush in 2 days. And I will give her the chop this coming weekend. Going to try a ice flush using frozen water bottles to see if I can help bring out more color. The other plants #1 and #3 are still a two weeks or so away from being chopped. Day 81, started the 3 day flush on Plant #2. And took some more photo shots of her buds and a 360° view video. Day 84, Plant #2 got the chop. Wet weight, before light trim and removing large stems is 760 grams!!! I will update once they finish drying, and then again once I finish the trim and about to jar them for cure. Plants #1 & #3 are still flowering, probably another week or two before they are ready to be chopped.

Harvest is imminent! I'm basically just waiting for her to drink her last watering. So 1-3 days I guess - my last few "finished" plants basically stopped drinking much at the end, and she seems to be the same. But my last post was about a week ago so one more flowering week report! A few days ago I took off some of the brittle taco-ified fan leafs. My guess is they don't do much for photosynthesis anymore and just prevent lower growth from getting light. Upper leafs by now have turned a pretty violet/plum color! I put a leaf from another plant in the picture for comparison.😊 Structurally there is little change since last week. Smell is still incredible too! She is significantly heavier than three weeks ago so the stems are losing the battle against gravity.. but as she's coming down in a few I'm not gonna go wild with jojos or garden wire. 🤷

Harvest came quicker than i thought it would. Taken awhile to update as I've had a few smokes to test after a heavy harvest so sorry about that. Pretty easy one to grow overall, didn't give this grow my full 100% as had a lot going on in my personal life but back to it now! Beautiful looking girl.. She had a 14 day flush as usual!

Hello everyone! At some point, a thought struck me: isn't the pot too small for my Dark Phoenix? She has grown to a size that I did not expect and did not plan). and I was tormented by the fact that it grows in a 25-liter pot just .. so I decided to take a chance and transplant it into a 35-liter pot. the transplant took place without problems and stress .. she did not even guess what had happened. The root system is curled perfectly. Bioenchaser does its job 100% well!

Big day! Moved lights under the Mars Hydro tsw2000 low on the dial. Top feed light

Day 56-63 (Day 57) I might have to fix the light to the roof of the tent so I can get another 3 inches up. The ppfd is just too intense at this height. The node stacking is super tight, I’m seeing some droop on almost every plant and the plants just look stunted. I might have to take out the big shelf I just paid 90$ for and raise the light to get the ppfd level down. This happened my last grow as well. It’s a great light for flowering but sucks ass for veg unless it’s hung 5’ above the canopy. I’ve seen videos of others with the same light and they have to fix it to the roof. The dimming function only works with a master controller I don’t have the money for right now. Pulling bbb #2. I’m seeing very small but clear pollen sacks. It’s also drooping like crazy. The roots don’t look as healthy as some of the other males I pulled earlier. They have a slight brown tinge but still mostly white. I wonder if I accidentally gave top dressed it too many times when I mixed them all up a while ago. I’m going to transplant bbb’s #1, #3, #6 & #7 into my 10 gallon destiny/coco pots lightly water. This is kind of a gamble because 2 of them are not showing definitively. Although I’m about 75% sure they’re fems. If not, I got my two backups. (Day 58) I was reading about symptoms of high PH and I definitely have it indicated by the twisted and stunted growth on top. I’m going to try to water in a full gallon at 5.8 and see if I get a good response. I sprayed the pump nozzle directly into the soil after it was empty to put some oxygen into that big 10g pot. The blackberry I gave the lowered PH water too noticeably responded within a few hours. The clawing has pretty much stopped and it now looks like the healthiest plant in the tent. I’m going to see how it responds over the next few days then try it with my other plants if everything looks good. I’m going to try it with bbb #5 in the 1.7g pot and see if it responds in the same way. I ran a gallon of 5.8 water through 1.7g and got less than a 100ml of runoff which is a little surprising. The runoff measured 1750ppms which seems a little on the high side but isn’t insane for peat based soil. (Day 59) Wow. The plants responded to that little PH adjustment insanely well. #5 isn’t dropping at all and the leaf wrinkles are actually flattening out. It’s starting to look like one of the healthiest plants in the tent. I’m still hoping for #5 to show female. 5 plants would cut my veg time down and give me another opportunity for a keeper pheno. All 4 plants are looking like they’ve already recovered from their transplant. #1 in particular was drooping like crazy yesterday and today it’s bounced back and looking happier than ever. I’m seeing a bit of tip droop on a few plants but they still seem fine I wonder if because my soil is 50% coco I should try watering on the acidic side, around 6.0-6.2 from now on. I’m almost certain that solved all the issues I was having. (Day 62) Plants are all looking really healthy. They all seem to have outgrown the initial light stress actually but node stacking is still really tight and I hope to raise the light up next week sometime. I’m going to drop the humidity to 60% for the rest of veg. These pots are massive and I’m still a little worried about dry downs but they aren’t showing any signs of overwatering or lack of oxygen. BBB#3 is starting to show some weird discoloring like an mag or nitrogen deficiency. Which is weird because it’s freshly transplanted into nitrogen rich soil. Guess I will give it a kelp foliar spray. I’ve been looking for a good organic source of K without an absurd amount of magnesium and sulfur like langbeinite has. I found some 0-0-15 kelp/seaweed extract in soluble crystal form. So from time to time I will water that in at half strength or with compost teas to keep my soil K dominant. (Day 63) I’m still waiting on #6 to show sex. I am shocked it hasn’t shown sex yet. Although it was started a week and a half after the others but still. I’m going to be so pissed if it ends up being a male. I’m taking a gamble but I’m confident it will show female when the time comes. bbb#3 got a little more color back from that foliar spray. Hope that doesn’t get worse because it’s my favorite pheno so far. I will give a N boost in the form of compost tea tomorrow afternoon to both of my tents. I’m starting to utilize the scrog net and boy does it make training way easier. This seems to be a much smarter style of growing for yield and quality. I’m getting tired of these pH fluctuations every time I water. I’ve been eyeballing for the most part and I need a consistent formula. I found the perfect mix to stabilize my RO water and stabilize the pH at 6.2. I moistened the top soil of each plant and will watch for any reactions. Girls are developing and stretching like crazy. Athena currently Dec 14 90cm and main stem of Xena is not far of this height either. Unfortunately noticed first signs of calcium deficiency(my opinion) on Athena. Thankfully started feeding both girls with calmag weeks back but the dosage wasn't not enough for Athena. Started small treatment very next day on Dec 11 (see description below) I belive got my baby back on right track. Week 9 Dec 11-17 Dec 11 Watering was planned for Tuesday but due to calcium deficiency decided for a little treatment. Watered both girls with mixture of reduced content of growth nutes by 50% calmag at 1.2 ml per ltr. Reduced solution PH to 6.2 as apperently it's ideal for calcium consumption. Over period 4h I have watered Athena with 5ltr with couple runoffs. Xena 3ltr. Total of 7-10 leaves affected mainly at top colas close to the light. Dec 12-13 Purely observation and all looking well. Of course all affected leaves will progres of showing signs but good news is that growth and development booming and don't see any new leaves with symptoms. Very nice trichomes development in recent days and more and more colours. Dec 14 Second watering for this week 6.5l Increased calmag to 1.4ml per ltr and if still things will be looking well reduce to 1 or 1.2 on next feeding. Dec 15 Very nice respond on yesterday feeding. They definitely fatten over night and getting more and more frosty. Will need to remove some foliage soon as getting extremely bushy again. Dec 17 Xenas main stem top cola almost touched the light today. Tied her to left side of the cabinet, applied selective defoliation on both girls, tied few branches to netting and on the end of this busy day a third watering for this week. 7 ltrs beetwen both. Runoffs Xena PH6.4 Athena 6.3. Very nice week have to say. I belive that calcium deficiency on Athena is no longer a case here and both girls developing very nicely.
