Week 8 Water only at 800ml lowering the lights on temps to 22c (70f) let see if we can get the purple senescence this 5g has been threatening and we know the Velvet Octane will finish with. Every girl is finishing nicely, FROSTY AF, and the smells are fantastic and sweet and slap you in the face the moment you open the tent. These girls are just getting photogenic so more to come next week.

Pics taken on day 36. Some, if not most of these are lightly seeded, I've checked for herms but cant find no nuts. Sucks but from what I've read and people I've talked to seems like it wont be too big of a deal in the end, some old school growers even prefer lightly seeded nugget, I've never tried it intentionally. The green buzz nutes are working well. I'm almost out of the more PK so I had to add herculean harvest liquid bonemeal to get the ppm where i want it while trying to conserve the Gbl to last the rest of the run. Didnt have the lady to take my pics today so I was limited and had to take them lefty one handed and was shakey af. #1 is killin it, havnt found seeds in her, stinks like citrus skunk #2 is fattening up I defoliated a little for space. Also smells citrus #3 was the runt but now shes lookin pretty good very solid structure heavy resin

As expected with regular seeds, we had both males and females, and this was the week we identified them all. From the original 12 beans, 5 revealed themselves as proud ladies while the rest — equally stunning in structure and expression — turned out to be males. 🌿 💚 Let’s talk about regular seeds and plant sex: Regular seeds are unsexed, meaning they can become either male or female. It’s a 50/50 genetic roll of the dice — and with unique mutant genetics like these, identifying sex isn’t always easy early on. Males typically show small pollen sacs, often referred to as “bananas” in their early stage. Females develop pistils, the first hairs of the flowers we’re after. Male plants, while beautiful and structurally fascinating (especially in this mutant project), can compromise a flowering room if left unchecked. Their pollen can fertilize female plants, leading to seeded buds — great if breeding, not great for clean flower. So, we say goodbye, thank them for their beauty, and move forward with the ladies to full bloom. The males? Hello everyone! well friends !, so she took her final forms! from today it switches to flowering mode 12/12 .. in the diary I will add a week of flowering when it starts blooming and not when the light mode has changed .. I don’t like it when they do it .. it gets confused .. 2 weeks is needed for flowering to begin active after switching to 12 hour mode .. and those growers who add weeks of flowering when switching to 12 hour mode, damn you!)))

8/25 put in closet for 48 hrs of darkness before harvest 8/28 actually did almost 3 days of darkness but started trimming and chopping. Getting ready to hang. Day 1. 8/29: 72°F and 50% humidity. Still wet. Even the small buds Day 2. 8/30: 70°F and 47% humidity Day 3. 8/31: 70°F and 52% humidity. Looking more dry than id prefer after 3 days of drying. But the conditions arent exactly ideal. Day 4. 9/1: 70°F and 49% humidity. Humidity dropped which sucks! Day 5. 9/2: 75°F and 37 humidity. Temperatures rose and humidity dropped a lot. Buds are super crispy. Im gonna let them go another day. Day 6. 9/3: time to jar the buds for curing. Dry weight is 43 grams

I am not on facebook instagram twitter etc All accounts except this one are fake. Harvest day 69 since the time change to 12/12 hrs. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested. After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process. Last week of flowering (72days from the light switch) Gonna cut soon when the dirt is dry. A quite late harvest. Many buds denser more, and stem can’t longer resist. This season so satisfy. Inicia segunda semana de floración, las plantas se recuperaron muy bien después de la defoliacion que se realizó antes de entrar a floración. Ya se ven los primeros pistilos en las 3 plantas.

F39: still a leafy bud we're on the second half of flower now, finishing it up. The hairs have started to turn brown. I feel like this would have looked really good outside as this looks kind of like a cheese strain I grew outside a year or two ago. F45: I'm starting to like how thick the cola looks. Starting to wither as the lower leaves are turning yellow and the upper leaves are slowly changing from the tips down. Also a few brown hairs now. Maybe two weeks or so left. Not entirely sure how fast it will ripen at the end.

Everything about this strain is amazing. It grew very easily, requiring no additional nutrients and having no deficiencies. P2 (the one I harvested) was short and bushy but had some massive buds all over it. I dont think I have anything smaller than a golf ball. The test branch that broke off a few weeks ago is any indication of how it will dry, they will be very dense, almost rock hard, and caked in crystals even after a trim. P1 was a massive plant, 30 inches tall, with 15 giant cola budsites and tons of golf ball sized buds on the underside of the branches. If I had used something to support her she probably would have doubled her already massive buds. Ended up with 102g from p1 and 90 from p2. 0

@ 1.4 kPa Stretch is over I am removing leaves on bottom of plants and also removing any buds that aren't receiving light. I am always removing a few everyday instead of removing all at once to prevent stress. Also adding grow fertilizer for a while as I have feeling the leaves lost a bit color.

I am going to let her get a little more established for another week at least before I increase the nutrient cycling with an active bacteria culture like Recharge again. - I water about every 2-3 days a little bit to always keep the soil a little damp. As I understand it in organics, you don't want the soil to ever really dry out completely like with salt based nutrients. - Showed sex around 20 or so (F) - Still the biggest plant in the garden. Extremely vigorous growth! - Inter-nodal spacing is medium, what I would say is perfect. Worm Feeding: - This week I fed my worms about a pound or so total of: Banana, mango, dill, tomatoes, carrots, strawberries, aloe filet, green beans, covered in a dash of oyster shell and alfalfa meal. - I layer down some canna leaves, layer diced up worm food, sprinkle dry amendments (kelp, oyster shell, neem, etc.), layer canna leaves, then replace bedding and they are happy! - Creating the food layer protected by the green manure gives the worms a nice buffer zone to move freely through eating as much as they want. - This method is inspired by Herbin Farmer on Youtube.
