Fractal was harvested on Sept 12. Due to extended period of high temperatures and humidity with more rain expected every day following another hurricane. The other gals were showing disease. That was the determining factor to chop all outside girls down. Fractal hung in the dark for 2 days. Because her grow family experienced bud rot and wilt, she was examined carefully for any disease. She was disease free. Fractal had a long vegetative phase. Probably too long since I started my outside grow in April so they would be hardened off before I went on vacay in May. Three months of veg caused massive vegetative growth. The various breeder notes on photo period seeds indicate late September or October harvest. So that was in the back of my mind during this grow. 👉 Note for next year start seeds later in spring. 👉 Plan start date based on counting back from the vernal equinox. 👉 Based on such a long growing season, Autos may be preferable to finish quickly and not have extended vegetation phase before flower. 7/25 Did two videos this morning. One where I was only going to water the 3 gallons I had mixed up but it's going to be very hot this week. Didn't want to make the same mistake as last time so I watered everything AT LEAST A GALLON. I need to bump up the volume during these really hot, humid days abd it doesn't get worse then this. Things are getting dusty. Found an inch worm and some minor pest damage. Once it cools down ill spray something. Also noticing small nitrogen deficiency that takes a leaf and moves up the plant a little bit. I'm going to need to start nutes this week. I'll keep this updated. Went back over around one and everything was looking fantastic! Took a few pictures and defoliated a few leaves. UPDATE: I GOT A MESSAGE FROM DAD SAYING MY PLANTS LOOKED DROOPY. I HADNT MADE IT OVER FOR MY NIGHTLY INSPECTION BUT HAVING WATERED YESTERDAY I WAS THINKIBG OF SKIPPING IT. GOT THERE AND SAW THE FIRST 10TH PLANET DROOPY. ALL THE TENTH PLANETS LOOK RELATIVELY THE SAME BUT ONE OF THEM IS MY "CANARY IM A COAL MINE" AS IT DROOPS WAY BEFORE THE OTHERS. Soil is still damp this morning and bags are heavy as hell. They look super happy. Obviously my watering situation depends on the weather. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be the hottest days so I wanted to make sure the plants had sufficient water before this. I'll let them dry out totally before watering again. There's another four lined plant big somewhere that sat there and destroyed another leaf. I'm AT LEAST spraying with BT after this heat wave. Supposed to rain a little today with thunderstorms. I haven't got my supports up yet but if i need to I coukd throw my tarps up real quick. Don't think I'll need to though. These are some tough freaking plants and I am super proud of how they've turned out thus far. UPDATE: WENT BACK OVER AND RE APPLIED BLEECH TO THE RAGS AND ON THE PERIMETER OF MY CAGE. I TACKED A FEW MORE DRYER SHEETS UP. REASON I DID THIS WAS BECAUSE WEVE BEEN GETTING HORRIBLE THUNDER STORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAIN. THE WEATHER MAN HAD BEEN WRONG SEVERAL TIMES WARNING OF THUNDER STORMS AND WE WOULDNT GET SHIT. THIS TIME IT WAS PRETTY BAD. TOOK A SHORT VIDEO. Plants made it through unscathed despite the lack of a trellis. Today is supposed to be the hottest of these days. I think the hear wave ends today. I really need to get my supports up. I'm super lucky to not have had any breaks during the storm. I have a couple of videos I did but I didn't upload them earlier and now that I'm back in the woods I doubt they'll upload now. I'll give it a shot. If not I'll put them up tomorrow. OH! I found that four lined plant bug that had been fucking up my leaves and squished him. Well I hope it was him. If not I killed a sibling at least. UPDATE: JUST WOW. This morning all drooped over from the storm went over at 4 and its still 90 and they seem to have grown sic inches and jumped forward WAY more into flower. I am amazed. I'll upload a photo or two but I took a video I'll put up tomorrow. Super stoked. Oh and you can give me a red smile face for not using nutes every week @growdiaries but you point out the deficiency then I'll fix it. 7/29 Plants looking fantastic this morning. UPDATE: PLANNED ON NOT GOING TO THECGROW TOMOGHT SEEING THAT IT HAD RAINED SO HARD AMD THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO GET RAIN TONIGHT. I GET THERE AT ABOUT FIVE AND MY CANARY AND A FEWCOTHERS WERE DROOPING! IT WAS IN THE 80S ALL DAY. I GAVE EACH PLANT A GALLON OF WATER. THE GROW BAGS ON THE TEO WORST PLANTS WERE SUBSTANTIALLY LIGHTER THAN THE REST. I HOPE IM NOT OVERWATERING. THE PLANTS SEEMED TO PICK BACK UP AFTER WATERING BUT ILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW TO UPLOAD MY PICTURES AND VIDEOS. I NEEDED TO ADD TEMPORARY SUPPORTS TO A COUPLE DIFFERENT PLANTS. IM CERTAINLY GLAD I GOT THE URGE TO GO OVER. WHAT A CHANGE IN A FEW HOURS 7/30 Plants are really growing fast and transitioning quick to flower. We got almost no rain so I'm glad I watered like I was supposed to even though the bags had some heft to them. I'm noticing more pest damage. I'm thinking a bt spray tonight might be beneficial. I'll look through what I've got on hand. I may just give them an application of spinosid but we'll see. I still need to move things and put my supports up. Medical problems have slowed me down. UPDATE: Went to check the plants around 3 and they looked great. Bags were still heavy and a little bit moist. I think with the added rain some of the plants may have been overwatered. I should have only watered tue bags that felt light. There is only one plant now that looks a little overwatered and even that is looking good. I found some more minor pest damage. Winds were fairly high. I wondered about my trellis netting but it hadn't been sanitized and my plants are very healthy so I decided to wait. I watched them dance like willows in the wind. I know it won't be like that with big ol colas on them but for right now it's working out just fine. Goal for next week is to move the front row back and move things around to better utilize space, possibly spray for pest and add supports for final flowering after I get the plants situated how I want them. If I do it right I may be able to lst some. Also took a 2 minute video but I cant upload until tomorrow. 7/31 I'm wondering about my watering habits. This morning I watered a couple blue cheese and purple punch plants with just a half gallon as they were light and looked drooping. I'm wonderingvif I'm overwatering. Some plants still seem heavy while others are light? I think the plants may have been overwatered due to the torrential rain and my taking less time hand watering. Hopefully I won't come home from this doctors appointment to wilted plants but I really doubt it. 10th planet requires far less water than the two other strains. Even specific phenos require more water and its difficult with the different size containers but im working with what ive got. I need more ph down and I've gotta get these plants supported. These are some massive plants. Store was closed. Dispensary was opened. Showed my buddy the video then it started raining. By the time I got there the plants looked horrible. Everything was droopy but a couple were really bad. A few weren't bad at all. Actually the one in the ten needed it. I think I just need to give more water at a time and document how I water each plant individually. I also need to take into consideration the weather. Hard to do when it's so unpredictable. I'll wait for them to dry out and then I plan to start low doses of big bloom and grow big but I need to wait for them to dry out first. Then next watering they'll get some nutes. It's sunny now so I may go check my plants. I may also put a fan out for a while on the bags. That might help them out.

Week 07 and the heat wave is behind us. Didn’t update last week but not much to report. Some serious damage was a result of the heat, causing the lights and everything else to become too much for the girls. #2 took it the best and is still growing nicely packing on weight and some serious frost! Finishing much faster then the others. I might re veg her the smell is so nice. The two larger #1 & 4 have been hungry forever awhile and I never applied anymore Gaia:(

Final day of Veg. 12 hours darkness starts tonight! Watered with hybrid bloom, calmag, silica and brix to start it off.

3 seeds from barneys farm : zkittlez Og auto. Diary : Day 1: I dug a pit and cleaned my dirt with metal grid and a wheelbarrow & Installed the greenhouse. Day 2 : I rotated my dirt and added universal soil. 4 x 70l to area of 6m2 . I also planted seeds in universal soil without sprouting first. Day 3 : I gave water and checked for sprouts. Bought moist meter and dripping hose. Installed those and making the greenhouse more moisty now. Putted seeds in small sprout basket for now. Feeling : Verry happy for my first time. Lots to learn.. . Excited

I got the seeds for this grow from my last plant. There must bei some crasy genetic stuff going on because my plants are already starting to flower after about 4 Weeks.

05/18 I have a question Should defoliation continue? The light hits the buds and is unnecessary, but some growers advise getting rid of the foliage so that power from the roots goes to the buds. I plan to leave it as it is and only occasionally remove 5-10 leaves that are shadow. 11/20 I did quite a bit of feeding last week and her top is getting very heavy. I’m having trouble keeping them standing up. I was going to take down one branch but I think it would cause the other branches to fall so I’m just gonna try and keep balancing them maybe for another week then I’m gonna cut them down. I have three more and another tent. I’m flowering them at between 86 and 90 W with the Mars Hydro lighting seems to do the trick I’ve had the same plant growing I think for over a year now I keep taking clones and then I take another clone. This is the first time I’ve attempted to do that and now I can see. I’m glad that I did because I made up for seeds that I managed to kill along the way. I always blame the seed company and then I find out a year later that it was something I did so I try not to complain too much about that. 11/21 I took down one of the branches yesterday she was giving me trouble. I sent a message to the other ones. I think it helped they really starting to produce now. They’re really starting to fill in now. I could take them down but I want to keep them going maybe two weeks as long as you’re still bulking up I want to keep going and I have one branch that will probably dry down to, a little more than half an ounce. It’s not really big, but it’s pretty nice and considering these were just clones these are branches. If you look early in my other diary, they work great. They’re looking a little crispy from a little too much nutrient I’m gonna give them just some plain water tomorrow and start backing way off on all nutrients. I think they have about another two weeks to go maximum. They’re really filling in nicely if I don’t stress them out they fill-in really good. Should probably get at least a dry ounce off of each of these branches. 11/22/23 I dried one of the branches didn’t get a lot. It’s very nice densely packed. Smells good it’s enough for me. 11/25 Saturday morning. I took a branch this morning. I have two on one plant and three on the other still going. I’ll keep them going if I can if they’re still growing I turned the light down to 89 I don’t really benefit from light that’s too bright toward the end of the grow it just melts the resin it just is not good for them and they seem to go just fine. I have another blackjack clone in another tent that I am going to try and do the whole grow at 93 W with this light so far it’s going just great. I accidentally left it there and if I can do that and not stress it, I might get better plants at lower wattage. 11/26 these three blackjack clones are growing perfectly at 93 W. I can’t believe it. No sign of stress of any kind so I’m gonna keep it at this wattage. Also it keeps the temperature super low. I have the driver outside the tent so it doesn’t make that much difference and one of the pots I didn’t fill up with quite as much soil probably 2 gallons and they still are doing good so blackjacks are very fun to experiment with and it’s a great smoke I have one of the branches drying right now and she seems to get more resins as she’s drying it’s incredible. I have two that are flowering that are just about ready. I overdid the fertilizer so I’m going to do a clean today with the general hydroponics. I got a gallon of the flora clean. I’m going to leave them at 89 W for the rest of the grow that should be good enough. It’s great that I can do this at 89 W. I use the general hydroponics Flora, clean and watered both of them. I did 10 mL per gallon and I did about a gallon and a half. There was a lot of runoff. It was really gross. I have bugs in the soil. I sprayed the bag and the soil for bugs.

Beginning of the sixth week. The first trichomes have already begun to appear. Now it's waiting for the buds to get fat.

Day 58 - 07/02/20 About 70% or more pistils are amber and ive harvested the inner stems of the plant yesterday and today and trimmed it all down to individual buds before putting it in the net to dry for a week :) The inner stems had such thick and dense buds on them that it was blocking some light from the buds on the outer stems and preventing them from reaching full maturity. They are now getting all the light they need for a few more days during the flushing week. I will also be reducing the light from 18/6 down to 12/12 this week as its not possible for me to isolate the plants in total darkness for 72h. I was told that no light right before harvest will mean more THC production, any time i knock the lights back before harvest my buds always look frosty and covered in trichomes. I cant wait until i have a smaller veg tent and another tent so i can isolate the plants for the full 72 hours. Anyways i had a little problem over the last 2 weeks with my PH pen being cheap and nasty, it constantly needs calibrated but still its doing a basic job and preventing more serious PH issues until i get a replacement. i also think i might have flushed the plants at that time before calibrating the PH meter and they were not happy about it :) Everything looks okay now in my tent and im just giving this one only Phed tap water until harvest :) I added a few photos of the Cayenne pepper plants harvest, the pepper plant was in one of my older grows i think maybe my first... could be the quick one diary, with minimal care and a little water i grew some monster peppers, i wanted to give them thier own diary but im not sure how GD would react hahah. so i posted them here, These peppers were all grown under the same light in the exact same conditions as i grow my weed with no bugs 🐜 or problems with mould, id strongly reccommend giving it a go and use up that grow space, especially as its bad for the environment to indoor grow! make the most of it folks! Anyways happy medicating for this week and check out my other diaries if you all get time :) Day 60 - 09/02/20 Added a video of a few buds from the inner stems drying on my drying net. I trimmed the fan leaves off and chopped the tips of the sugar leaves which had no trichomes on them. most of the test buds got all the visible stem removed but i left a few of the chunky tops to dry just to see how they turn out. Anyways im going to flush for a few more days before chopping the rest down and getting it ready to dry :) Keep on growing folks!

Day 94 - today the temperature inside the tent dropped to 10-12 degrees Celsius. So it's harvest time. I trimmed almost all the leaves and hung the plant in a dark place to dry at a temperature of 12 degrees. This is not enough, but unfortunately there are no other conditions. Drying may take longer than the usual 10-12 days. The plant itself has stretched almost a meter in height, the roots are also impressive.

Defoliated them a little. Nothing special. I try to keep at least 3 or so big leaves below the net jfust in case there is an issue with the plant where it shows the symptoms at the lower branches first. I believe this way I'm faster to diagnose in case something does go wrong with feeding. Oh yeah, trellis is about 30cm (give and take) above the pots

Day 42 / Week 6 Flower begins today - 22/12/2021. EC - EC has been a little high, rising to as high as 1.9 overnight after approx 16hrs since last feed. Inflow is 1.3 and will probably remain there or even be backed off slightly to 1.2 until the plants show they require more as if it keeps rising I will have to lower the EC slightly. I believe it is the Ultimate PK sending the EC higher as that is the only thing that has changed. Still giving less than half of what mills suggest and the girls don’t seem to mind, if anything they are getting slightly overfed as above suggests. Multifeeding - I am currently feeding every 4 hours, 2 hours after lights on and 2 hours before lights off for a total for 3 x per day, 2l per plant per feed. Always with 20% or greater runoff. Defoliation - I am still only removing about 7-10 leaves per plant every 4 or 5 days if they are beginning to cover or shade bud sites below. If they are not causing issues, I won’t remove them as I don’t want to cause any unnecessary stress at this stage. “LST” - The string is still attached from the “LST”, it does not seem to be affecting the plant and is keeping centre of the plants exposed pretty well so I’m trying to just keep the string on. As the weeks go on, if the branches require support instead of tying down, I will tie them up the frame of the tent probably. Both girls buds are beginning to fatten up, especially along the main branches are becoming more developed and more colours are coming on MOP 2 which is the more purple and prettier of the two phenos (for now). Even the lower stuff on both girls is a lot larger than the last time so I’m happy already as I’d imagine the tops will be even larger and there is still approx 3 weeks / 21 days remaining. Can’t wait to see how much more these progress in the coming weeks. 🙏🏻🤙🏻💚
