A pretty good week, aside from carl 1's couple of breakages. Good growth and ambering on both indoor plants, and pretty good growth on the outdoors as well. Both the indoor plants should be at the very least partially harvested by next week (making this the possible last week for the indoor part of the diary) - Must say, I'm quite excited to chop down both of these plants. Carl 1's size and UKBS 1's frosty buds are starting to look too good to not sample, haha. =-= EOS T5 Rebel pics should be out tomorrow or the next day. Timelapse is out. =-= Updates to the week will come as things happen, as per usual. 7/11/2021 - EOS T5 shots are out. Took a branch from UKBS 1 as I thought I saw mold, I guess I was tripping. Trichomes are still very clear which confuses me to no end. even Carl 1 has some ambers, and it's still throwing white pistils like crazy while UKBS 1 is showing almost entirely orange pistils.

Had a good week, just waiting for this baby to ripen up a bit more.

It's been a beautiful strain to work with, the flowrs are definitely worth it after all this time, the quality is definitely high. However this pheno of ak420 smells very different from the other 2 phenos I've grown along with her. The flowrs are beautiful, very solid and frosty nuggets, I smoked a few little nuggets when trimming but I'm excited to taste the big buds, hope you guys enjoyed the process. I want to say that this pheno #1 has a different smell compared to the other 2 phenotypes of ak420 that you can see here on my page as well, so stay tuned guys! Overall result is very nice, good quality, strong weed, sticky, stinky. Max stretch reached i think, starting to cola up now. Hopefully over the next few weeks she starts fattening up a bit. Added some fluvates and Humates to the res to increase metabolic rate. Adding fluvates as a foliar spray 2x weekly. Seems to he doing well.

Fairly fast grow although fairly airy small buds but probably caused by grow environment and lack of light at start

I'm keeping an eye on what appears to be a few seeds developing. I'm hoping they're just fat calyx's that haven't matured yet however there's a strong possibility that, due to a temperature fluctuation that was excessive (20℉) may have caused her to stress and turn hermaphroditic... girl, from the beginning she was watered with water from the tap, the value of which is almost 350ppm. and a lot of lime, which prevents me from growing it bigger, but I'm happy with the result :) it's a small pot and only 50 w :) the flowers look very beautiful and sticky :) super ​

I started to clear some fan leaves to help the growth of the bud sites for light penetration. Still hasn’t produced a smell yet, but has lots buddings one side of my topped plant has three mini colas right up against each other.

This was a fun week. She continued to stretch and started to show some flower at the end of the week. I popsicled her to clean her up under the canopy. I'm trying to avoid getting a lot of popcorn when she finishes. I don't want anything under the trellis. She is really showing good growth, and will need some defoliation soon.

Switched to 12/12 Defoiled them every 2 days...slightly, just to stop all shadings Mixed in some flowering nutes mid week Got an really even canopy...LST did a good job...light seems to be used very efficient now

This week has been all about the trichomes! They haven't really started to frost up to this point but I've just been in the tent to get some photos any my god are they sticky! The size and density of the buds on the shorter plant is beyond belief. The scrog net has worked incredibly well creating a thick even canopy. I recommend this technique to any grower including newbies like myself. Final week of full strength nutes. As of next week I'm expecting they will start to fade out a bit. I still think they could mabey go another 2 weeks before starting a flush. Time isn't really a problem for me im happy to let them go on as long as they need to reach full potential. Even at this point regardless of the outcome I'll definitely give this strain another grow. Its soooo easy to grow and the size is phenomenal. Stinks of stomped oranges with a hint of pepper. Wow.

The grandaddy black is looking happy. Will be switching them to flower in a week or less. I gave them a flush and fresh nutrients. The humic acid really makes a huge difference in the uptake of nutrients. I am at about half dose on nutrients compared to what I would have to feed without it. Winter is approaching and bringing the low humidity with it. All of the humidifiers I have tried either dont work or I have to constantly refill the tank. So I decided to use my redneck engineering skills to throw this humidifier together. It holds 4 gallons of water and she pumps like a freight train. I have dubbed her the Steam Queen. I got 2 cool mist foggers that put out about 400ml per hour each and used some things I had around to make them a little float. Added an old computer fan to force the mist out through a 2 inch pipe. She won't win any beauty contests but she pumps out plenty of cool moist air. I also upgraded my exhaust to a variable speed for more added environmental control. Just going to do a little more training over the next week then try to make some buds.
