Lemon Cake week 18 7/28 - 8/4-10 I am late for my outside ladies diaries updates. Life has been getting the best of me lately. I’ve been packing my daughter’s room and moving her things to her new home. For those that have followed my since my beginning here, Cancer left me with neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I can no longer do my glass fusing or flame work. To close this chapter of my life, I’ve been inventorying glass, tools, equipment, molds and supplies to sell. The most stressful has been appealing Medicare claims and receiving the second denials on the same claims. They are the last payer of record so good luck getting any reimbursement you are entitled to. My apologies to all of you for being so brief on your diaries and not providing many comments. Photos are from 7/28- 8/9 for both weeks. For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They continue to live in sweltering conditions. Temps are in the upper 80-90s with humidity over 105. In addition to the heat, Hurricane Debby started up the coast but was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it got to us. Expecting our normal thunderstorms, I waited til morning to bring the ladies inside. Overnight, we had wind gusts of 25mph. Yeah, then I brought all gals into the house. The photo gals are strong and with thick stalks were able to withstand the winds. I top dressed all ladies with Bloom Soil for organic fertilizer. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed. Thanks for the visits, likes and comments, I appreciate all the plant love💚. Week 7 begins and things are finally settling after a tough pest battle. I’ve been hitting spider mites with Bioneem + Neudosan sprays regularly (lights off), and the difference is clear — far fewer webs now. Ants were crawling up stems a while back, but a dish soap rinse handled them well and I’m barely seeing any now. Bud sites are fattening up, trichomes are mostly cloudy, and the smell is classic Blue Cheese funk — sharp and sweet. Harvest Plan: Going for a split harvest: Top colas around day 63–66 (week 9), depending on trichome progress. Lower buds/popcorn will stay on for 5–7 days more for extra ripening. Trichomes: Mostly cloudy, pistils ~60% browned and starting to pull back. Feeding Notes: Still finishing up bloom feed — Ripener starts week 8. Final stretch ahead. Just managing airflow, keeping a close eye on trichomes, and prepping for flush. Let’s finish strong baby!

This girl is growing good! No issues so far. I have had to defoliate a lot to keep the bud sites open to the light. She is really starting to flower up. Still growing taller.

This week has gone well. 6 plants in such a small space is playing havoc with the humidity but I feel I'm just about on it enough not to cause any rot. The strawberry gorilla is also developing quickly. The HST doesn't seem to have effected it at all. This is another strain in the tent that may finish a bit before it's 90 day schedule time. ******competition time****** I have an extra pack of 3 seeds of this strain that I'm willing to give away to UK growers. Not too much to report here . Added 3 new pieces of “equipment” 1. Plant watering saucers 2. Small electric dehumidifier 3. Even smaller non-electric dehumidifier Anywho , still only watering when dry with PH’d water & LSTing . The growth rate I would describe as moderate . One of the 3 GDPs have thrown preflower pistals at the very end of week 3 which is disappointing but I’ll trudge on & try & get 5 minimum 4 solid weeks of veg out of the other two . Always a conflicting time, happy the grow is over, excited to try the buds, but sad that they plants are now gone. Removed all fan leaves and hung delimbed in the dry tent. About 21°C and 59-60% RH for 10-14 days. Will cure 2 weeks afterwards.

The ladies light schedule was changed to 12/12 on Oct.30!❤️ The girls were doing great about 1 week after their big defoliation and SCROG being put in, I decided to flip to flower. I had been tucking and bending and had achieved about 80-90% canopy coverage, the last bit should fill in this week as they begin to stretch. During the 1st week of flower transition, I continued to tuck and bend where I could, trying to maintain an even canopy of tops, as well as fill in as many of the squares, as evenly as I can. It becomes a morning and night routine, I check on my humidifier, say good morning, and tuck away for about 5 minutes or so, it doesn’t take much at this point. Once the first week of stretch is through, I stop tucking branches and allow the tops to continue to grow upwards. I find that by using a SCROG method, there isn’t really a whole lot to do…I don’t defoliate until week 3, so it’s just feeding every 3-4 days and filling my humidifier! When I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

29.3.25: This week has flown by. Everything is looking good. I've been watering alternatively with Bud Explosion PK booster and Sea K(elp) by Greenleaf nutrients. Also, plain water I'm between feeding. I watered yesterday and had run off from 2 pots, so I will wait for them to dry out sufficiently before watering again. Trying to mitigate the risks of mildew and / or mould due to too much water / humidity. 31.3.25: I cleaned out the tent and disinfected it again. Had a bit of runoff, which had left a bit of residue on the floor. Today, I took all the photos and videos whilst cleaning the tent. The pots had sufficiently dried, so I will water with the Greenleaf nutrients. I watered with dechlorinated water PH'd between 6.2-6.4. 6.5 litres contained the following nutrients: ♡ 1/4 Tsp Mega Crop Part A. ♡ 1/2 Tsp Bud Explosion PK booster ♡ 1/4 Tsp Sea K(elp). Mañana nublada, mañana de porros y música junto a esta gitana agradecida, hace cuatro días cambié el horario a floración 12/12h. Después de una semana donde he hecho tres riegos profundos (4,7L) con componentes variados y dirigidos a estimular el cultivo, la planta está respondiendo espectacularmente... esta gitana a perdido la timidez! ahora crece, se fortalece y orgullosa se esfuerza por alcanzar a sus compañeras de cultivo mayores, y no dudo que lo consiga! En el último riego he estrenado dos nuevas fórmulas de Bio Fertilizantes que puse en fermentación anaeróbica con Microorganismos Eficientes y enzimas hace casi un año y que abro ahora, el primero basado en la disolución de tres tipos de algas (Bio Algas EM) para usarlo en cualquier momento del cultivo como Bio estimulante, el segundo con una combinación de Guanos de ave y Murciélago donde disuelvo principalmente el fósforo y también el resto de macro/micro nutrientes y los ácidos húmicos de esta materia prima excepcional, lo comienzo usar al final de la etapa de crecimiento vegetativo hasta el final del cultivo, en combinaciones de riego con otras fórmulas fuertes en potasio... a jugar!! Un dato: la semana pasada hice, llevado por la pasión, las ganas y el colocón, varias aplicaciones foliares en días consecutivos con una mezcla explosiva de mi Hidrolizado Enzimático de Sangre Fresca (Aminoácidos y Nitrógeno 70%) con Lacto Fermento multi frutas NPK... La primera aplicación en todas las plantas fue espectacular, continué aplicando como si no hubiera mañana, y conseguí bloquear varias plantas y quemar muchas hojas... pero esta planta resistió como la mejor, y ahora se impone mientras sus compañeras se recuperan! El paso a floración es como nuestra entrada en la adolescencia, la revolución hormonal que la planta experimenta es similar a la nuestra, y como tal, hemos hecho una fiesta gitana para celebrar la vida que le espera esta chica andaluza...
