Buds are getting bigger and trichs are abundant , still waiting for a nice swell to tighten things up a bit but well see. It is hot af during the day and it still has a few more weeks.

Day 43. Queen is reaching sky, had to move lamp one more time. Margaret is getting fatter, loads of mini colas and buds, really compact version of that strain. Today - plain water, next watering they will get molasses tea. Then plain water and at the end of week - full blast of nutes ! To me it looked like top leaves of Queen getting bleached lightly, think i have just 30 cm left of height, let's hope she will be massive , while staying low ;))) Her structure is very stretch out, a bit too big distance between nodes compared to what i like or would want to see from perfect plant. Day 46. Queen still has obvious light bleach, quantum boards makes your plants hungry for cal mag. Hope it and later silica feed will bring all to normal. Both girls pack like crazy, really fun to observe. Both looks to be not so far from 1g/W ;))) No third needed !!! Hopefully ... ;))) Tomorrow they will get only third feed in theirs life ... Nutes companies would hate me ;))) Day 48. Queen is super sensitive to Mag, second Cap-Mag feed and she burns again ... Will go water, water, silica, water now. Will see how they look after this. Girls still drink fast, there is no lockouts, but rusty spots tells everything. I noticed that this strain don't need big feed, she grows nice when hungry. Happy Growing !

Very dense buds, the most dense I ever had .... I think .... They are ubersticky and have a super intense sweet smell (that covers the entire house by now 🤭👃) Really happy with this one... Could be one of my best outcomes in a very long time... Could be forever

Flushed the soil at day 67 to get PH below 7 Day 70 PH back at 6.5 (drain) Next time i feed only half gram/liter of GHF.

The start of week 5 is going well. Blueberry is smelling nice and my seedlings should be showing preflowers soon.

6th week of flowering. The smell starts to be pretty strong..Small closett with Ac Infinity S6 and still smells😅

Day 105- her last day on earth. I thank her for what she is about to give us. I saw scattered amber trichomes so decided it was time. I am very excited about this harvest. I think she is going to be top quality. Her flowers are dense, heavy and large 😍 What a pleasure she has been this far. Give her plenty of light, a big pot, don't overdo it on the nutrients and this is what she gives me. I didn't even train her at all! The wires are to support her branches before they snapped off due to weight.

7/19. So last week i tried some super cropping. Where i super cropped reacted in such a way ive never seen before. The plant tissue literally looks bruised rather than the calloussed/knuckle effect. 7/21 watered and took pics

Will report back with a smoke report, but this thing smells incredible and budded extremely well. Didn't have much of any issues with pests. Got a BIG 4' plant from only super soil in a 5-gallon fabric pot. Tons of resin. Very impressed with these automatic genetics from Pride of the Lion Seeds... and I'll definitely be growing another one of them in the spring.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. GOING ON VERY WELL...

End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. Day 42. Huge disaster !!!! i stucked at my house on the lake for 7 days, normally i water them every 4-5. This girl got biggest damage, her leaves folded like stairs on the pot. leaves were brittle and dry as paper. Lost a lot of foliage. If i would need to recomend most forgiiving strain - thats the one, girl coped with all the shit i gave her ... Happy Growing !!!
