Fimming pants...

Today I have diced it is time to switch to 12/12 scheme. Net is almost covered and I am expecting some stretch during pre-flower phase. Watering volume is increasing day by day, thanks to my dehumidifier I can keep the VPD around 1.2. Temperature is a thing... probably need to cool down some in a few weeks. Thankfully I am already adding CO2 so that should do it. As you can see I have raised EC a bit. That was easier than bringing the PH down with PH-minus. Some little burned tips on the leaves but I do like the overall colour. So let's see how it goes. 15/06: Sorry... something more important came up than updating my report.... On Monday, I start working for a boss... it's been over 20 years, so it will take some getting used to... I also suddenly had to buy a car because I hate cycling. I usually dislike driving too, but as long as the car has enough power, I can live with it and stay dry. Regarding the ladies... the problem with the persistent lighting does indeed seem to be an internet issue, as it hasn't occurred again. Furthermore, the amens is just brutally large compared to the others and will soon overgrow the whole net. I don't mind... I always prefer the strongest. In the photo from 3 days ago, this is still fairly visible, but in the photos below, it's getting harder to see... Harvesting will also be fun... Keeping the stuff separate by type will be a challenge. Water values are currently nice and stable, though I did increase the CO2 slightly to an average of 1350ppm. I've also already hung my blooming lamps (not visible in the photo). These are again Chinese quantum boards, but 400W each. They will run 4 hours a day for the last 3 weeks. This way, the dehumidifier doesn't have to work as hard, and I keep the stuff around 30˚C. Actually quite satisfied.... the first signs of flowering seem visible, but not convincing enough to take pictures yet...

Es mejor cultivarlas en invierno con muy poco tiempo en crecimiento por el estirón que se pegan si no controlas la altura. Sabor regular pero buen humo y según el curado te da buenos momentos de risa o más bien un viaje cerebral.

Fun one to grow even in veg its exciting because the foliage is fuckin Jurassic like it's a beautiful thing. Had some high ph towards the end so I would say theres plenty of room for improvement but all around this was a decent grow and this strain is a classic

ladies have started to take off much more this week. I added heavy 16 finish to schedule of nutes. may be adding fire and roots also over next weeks. no huge issues this week, felt pretty dialed in for most part. using grow room glasses ive found i can get decent video of the girls under lights vs having to take them oit find ok lighting and taking a pic. noticed smell coming off the plants this week, its weak right now, but definitely starting to stink! going to top at the 3rd node once they reach 8 inches tall. after day 28, I transferred into 3 gallon fabric pots, which will be their final homes til harvest! (bottom leafs on plant #1 got some spotting, one side was windburn from earlier in grow, the other side I got a few drops of nutrient mixed water on them, and even after wiping away it left spots on leaves, its all good they are going to be removed after topping)

Growing report: The growth through veg stage was amazing couldn’t fault the plant or the feed BUT then flower stage is where these genetics goes all wrong! So two weeks into flower I see one plant had Hermied, so gave this one the axe, and then spoke to acouple of other growers that have the same strain Had the same problem So it’s now named (hermie pie) then in week 5 all plants Hermied. I managed to keep the seeds at bay mostly and slow down the process of them seeding until harvest on week 7/8 I got signs of bud rot but dealt with that quick enough it didn’t damage the rest of the the harvest. Once harvested they got a light trimming then hung up for 5/6days at temperatures 20/28 and humidity 45/60. Used Trimbag for the rest of the trimming process, got 6oz off 3plants 😬 curing for 2weeks in one ounce Jars 75% full. Bud report: Smell; is sweet and tangy Taste; sweet spicy taste Density of buds out of 10; 8. Some seeds found in buds😞 Thank you all for watching another stressful but fun and learning harvest.

Went from 450w to 150w blue for a week due to heat and too much height gain. Weather got cold so I put the 450w red back in as they seem to be thickening up. Feminising was very easy on the ones I chose, I chose only three that had thicker faster flowering and more THC but will cross with the more sativa dominant ones.

Started giving them plain water to flush before harvest. Buds look like they are still chunking up though. They have like a lemon smell too i was not expecting. Great strain for sure

Its been a busy week in Fat Zappa's Garden, hence another late update. I am no longer concerned about the gold patches on the plants, there has been a little more since the past update, particularly around the edges of some of the leaves but not much at all and it certainly doesn't appear to be anything serious so my fears have eased much in that regard. The three older ladies in this grow are coming to the end of day 32 as I type this update, and have grown into fairly big plants over the past week or so. Despite having low stress training applied every two or three days they now stand around a foot tall. Not quite as tall as their Fastbuds label mate, the Wedding Cheesecake I am growing in Canna Coco and the same dry amendments, which stands an inch taller than these three sisters, but then she is nine days younger. These three girls are certainly more fuller plants though, and the past few days have seen the white hairs begin to appear, particularly on the bud sites, which have also began to turn light green, and the stem on one of these girls begin to turn more 'vine like' in texture. Remaining on a schedule of about 2.5 litres of dechlorinated, aerated water of PH 6.4, day 28 also saw the garden revitalised by their usual tipple being replaced for an aerated compost tea of 2 cups of Worm Castings, 2 tablespoons of Alfalfa Meal, 2 tablespoons of Kelp Meal, and 1 tablespoon of Bat Guano in a cheese cloth bag, and placed in a UK 5 Gallon bucket with 2 tablespoons of Molasses mixed into the dechlorinated water I had aerated for 24 hours, and then brewed it for about 26 hours. It may just have been a well timed coincidence, but I do feel like the plants have shown a spurt of growth since receiving it, particularly the runt of these Mrs Banners, who received her first session of low stress training on day 30. Prior to this spurt of growth I was not going to perform any LST on her cos she just seemed way to small but has really filled out in the past week, although remains a very short specimen compared to her sisters, and the Wedding Cheesecakes who are 2 days younger than her. I am starting to think something may have gone awry when I mixed my soil up, as the two pots which I struggled to germinate the initial seeds in, one which failed completely, have not seemed to thrive as much as the other four plants. When I mixed the initial mix into the 5 Gallon pots I did it in two batches, yet filled the all the pots a scoop at a time along a row so it does seem strange. I think next time I will mixed the medium with the dry amendments and castings a pot at a time to gain more control and see if things improve. Also, in preparation for feeding the compost tea I did have a trim around the bottom of the larger plants as watering has become more difficult with all my wires and tucked leaves etc, which I immediately regretted, but actually, like I say, the plants seemed to have had a boost over the past few days so I am happy no harm has been done. The lights are now running at the full 450w and set to around 25 inches from the top of the canopy. I have also increased the airflow through the intake fan, the canopy fans are both on high, my two 40 watt fans are now running on medium, and my AC Infinity T6 turned up to three on the OFF setting. My heater and humidifier remain on full on the environment has remained stable despite the ramping up of the light to full blast. Lastly, day 32 began with a top dressing for all these plants, with the larger ladies showing signs of pre-flower. They got heaped portions of 1/2 cup of Worm Castings, 1/3 cup Dr Forest Organics 284 Bloom, and a table spoon of Dr Forest Organics Veg dry amendments which I mixed in as best I could with all my LST wires etc, and then watered at PH level 6.4. I'd like to mix the PH up a little more between 6.2 and 6.8 but it always seems to come out 6.4. I will endeavour to update the pages for the two Wedding Cheesecakes as soon as time allows. After not growing for almost a decade, it’s absolutely nostalgic and somewhat of an emotional moment to finally finish a grow again. Rainbow melon has stolen my heart From day one the plant was bigger as nice strong stock handles low stress training well some of the biggest buds I’ve ever had. G13 auto has done good for the few issues I have had in the grow. She has grow great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. She did not get massive, but has some frosty good looking buds on her. I switched her to ph water a few days ago. I am just letting her fade and ripen more. The harvest will be within the next 2 weeks. Plant looks good, and I can't wait to try it.
