Another week, another water change! Again, nothing really too exciting going on this week. Pushing nutrients high on these ladies, added two trellis nets and did some tucking. No defoliation yet, really just letting the plants do their own thing. Big stripping and lollipopping coming next week!

Took 2 days to germinate Day 1: planted in soil 1/4 inch deep or so. Day 2: Had to replant because the root was growing horizontally just below the surface after doing so the stem turned a purplish color. Day 3: starting 3rd set of leafs also set out water to raise humidity in the tent. Day 4: looming good nothing new Day 5: looking good regularly misting, definitely growing but I think she's focusing on her roots. Day 6: looking great going to give her a good watering probably about .75 gallon

day 9: the roots start to come out of the netpot slowly (see picture) the water level is 1 inch under the netpot, the bubbles make the roots wet. nothinh much to do here just waiting for water change. the ph has gone up to 6.0 maybe because of the rockwool touching the water when the water level was higher. in the next days i expect the roots to go in the water day 11 (december 15) roots com trough net and i did water change with double strength (507ppm) calmag to around 200 and 100ppm of each three part bottle

AUGUST 16 to AUGUST 22, 2025 Insofar as fertigation, this week each specimen was provided a Top Dress of Dry Organic Amendments as described in the Nutrients section of this diary post. The top dress was watered in with a Liquid Amended Soil Drench with the following ingredients and measures (mL/L): Bloom Liquid Plant Food (1-3-3) - 5.0mL/L of plain rainwater Yucca Schidigera Liquid Extract - 0.25mL/L Monosilic Acid - 0.5mL/L Activated Beneficial Microbes - 5.0mL/L - All products from Optimize Organics (https://www.optimizeorganics.ca/) Both Lemon Orange specimens are growing with vigour, and well into the transition to bloom. Pairs of pistils are evident in several locations on each plant. Sunlight hours have dropped to under 14 hours (Sunrise 07:00, sunset 20:58). I am considering this Week 1 of flower. Considerable height gain over the week, with a noticeable increase in inter-nodal spacing, particularly on Lemon Orange #2. Lemon Orange #1 is the shorter of the two phenotypes, slower growing, and not taking in near as much water/nutrient (did not need to be watered this week). Lemon Orange #1 has an average height across its 8 main growing shoots of 51cm, while Lemon Orange #2 is is near 68cm. Neither specimen is overly smelly on their own, but when rubbed up against or manipulated the scent of citrus with an earthy after-tone is present. Fungus gnats have found a home in the garden, and for now I've deployed yellow sticky traps to control the adults. More aggressive treatments of other parts of the lifecycle will likely be needed, and I am considering acquiring nematodes to add to my living soil. DAY 99 - Top Dressed with dry organic amendments (Bloom mix); Watered in with Bloom Soil Drench Formula; Went fishing for a couple of days. DAY 100 - n/a DAY 101 - n/a DAY 102 - 1L drip of plain rainwater at 08:30 via automated irrigation system; Returned from fishing trip in early afternoon (14:00), plants looked good, if not a bit uneven as a result of not being turned 1/4 clockwise over the past 3 days. DAY 103 - Witnessed droop under full sun in early afternoon, across all specimens on the back bench (Blue Dynamite #2. Lemon Orange #2, Blue Dynamite #1). Drip watered 1.5L of plain rainwater to that bench of plants only, as the front bench with the small plants (Lemon Orange #1 and Purple Romulan) seemed as though the substrate was sufficiently moist. DAY 104 - Prepared Compost Tea for application on Day 106, set to aerate for 36 hours. DAY 105 - n/a

So, Week 4 is done and the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autos are slowly coming along. It has been even colder in Canada this past week and temperatures in the tent have been hovering around the 70 degree mark. The humidity has come up a bit to around 30% and this is an improvement but the combination of too cold + humidity too low = small, struggling but surviving plants. It’s disappointing but this is consistently my toughest grow cycle of the year. Other than that, I increased the water to 4 litres per watering which is still being done every 4th day- so that’s 0.7 of a litre per plant per day. Although I was planning on topping all four of these plants following my previous Sweet Seeds grow experience, these ladies are just not up for it- too small, too slow and surviving not thriving. I will look forward to that with my next and final Sweet Seeds grow so stay tuned for that in future. Mom’s Tip for Week #4- Cleanliness is next to Godliness!… I wholeheartedly feel that a clean and organized tent/grow room is essential for a successful grow. I often see other growers leaving dead foliage to pile up in the bottom of their tents, watering with no drip trays or not cleaning their space in between grow cycles. They are often plagued with unwanted visitors, fungal infections and a nasty build up of crud in the most precious place- your happy garden! Here are my top tips for keeping your tent/grow room clean, organized and consistently productive. Always remove dead or defoliated foliage from the bottom of your tent and take it all the way out of the immediate growing area/room. Biodegrading foliage provides the perfect environment for unwanted insects/pests to hide in and feed on- potentially creating an infestation that could devastate your crop and contaminate future grows. I place all green materials including my post harvest plants into the compost pile where it breaks down creating beautiful, natural fertilizer for future grows! Always use drip trays when watering or clean up excess dirty water that seeps through your pots/containers- potentially creating ideal conditions for various fungi and molds that can affect your plants, equipment and perhaps even you. I use inexpensive, plastic drip trays to catch any run off instead of relying on the waterproof bottom that is sold with my tent. I have personally witnessed the mold that can grow on and between these waterproof bottoms and the actual bottom of your tent as well as moisture so severe that it rotted through the stitching/seams of an otherwise perfect tent. Always clean your tent/grow room in between each and every grow cycle as well as throughout the grow as needed- potentially avoiding cross contamination from the previous grow and maintaining a high daily standard. Aside from insects and pests, fungi and molds- pollen from a previous grow gone wrong can wreak havoc on future grows if not dealt with correctly. I thoroughly vacuum my entire tent and wipe it down with a hot water/bleach solution applied with a spray bottle and a clean cloth. I also use a cordless Black and Decker hand vac conveniently mounted on a wall near the tent for daily maintenance and clean ups as needed. Keeping your tent, immediate grow space and supplies organized will also make things easier. I keep everything up and off the floors and if possible stored in rubbermaid type containers. This allows for quick and easy sweeping/vacuuming, wiping/dusting and the deep cleans required in between grows. All of the above mentioned tips will help increase the odds in your favour for a successful grow/harvest but they will also increase the longevity of your equipment too. Growing Cannabis at home can be quite a hefty initial investment so if a little light cleaning can make my core components (tent, lights, intake/exhaust fans, etc.) last longer, work better and equal more bang for my buck- it’s a no brainer!

04/01/2023 - 56 days since my little girl sprouted from a seed Third week of bloom for my NYC Diesel 🍋🍊 Nutrients: Jungle Indabox - the girl responded well to the change in nutrients, so I continue to feed the same as last week when I adjusted the nutrients for flowering Jungle Environ X - bud stimulators 🌼 Bud Candy - bud stimulators 🌼 Atami - ATA Calmag - it is recommended to use Calmag when growing under LED lights I stopped the Hesi Root Complex - no longer recommended this week Training: LST: just a slight LST, I attached some small twigs with string to let more light shine on them 💡💡 Defoliation: I did more defoliation so that the leaves do not shade the already forming buds and the plant can breathe freely - this was necessary for NYC Diesel, it was very leafy 🍃🍃 Light: Mars Hydro TS1000, the girls are doing amazing under this great light, I can see a big difference compared to my past results 💡💡💓 In general: The girl is very strong, she has a strong stem - trunk, that is the basis for a proper plant 🌴. As the only girl in the tent, it's not a sativa, but a hybrid, which is fine with me, so the girl isn't as high as the others. Buds are already forming at the ends of the twigs 🌸 and there are many branches 🌾. It resembles a small dense bush. I'm already proud of her 😇 Apology: Being sick I'm late with my diaries, for which I apologize 🤒🤒 Stan emits a soft scent that is mainly reminiscent of fruit, but it is a gentle whiff 🍇🍋🍊 Thanks for the likes and you can follow me on Twitter 🐦: @ Targona666 See you soon 😍

Watered 3 times with Flawless Finish with 20% run off. After that, flushed everything out with plain water and then watered plain water a few more times with no run off (not all at once😀).. Just waiting on the pot to dry out completely 👌🙌

A bit of defoliation early in this week with some LST, looked a little shabby after but they bounced back within a day or so. Also installed up right fan to blow air under and over the plants and small dehumidifier. Loving these plants and learning how to grow.

Greetings once again, my fellow cultivators and enthusiasts of the green spectacle! Here we are, entering the grand finale with the Week 13 Flower Report for our illustrious Jealousy in the Power Buds competition. The botanical odyssey we've embarked upon has reached a crescendo, and our emerald empress stands adorned in the regal splendor of her flowering finale. As we step into this final chapter, the grow room has transformed into a cathedral of green devotion. Jealousy, in her perpetual prayer, is the high priestess presiding over a congregation of resplendent buds. Each bud, a testimony to the weeks of meticulous care, now glistens with the promise of a bountiful harvest. It's like witnessing the unveiling of a living tapestry, where every petal holds the story of our botanical journey. Speaking of these magnificent fruits, the buds have reached a zenith of opulence. Each calyx, each trichome, is a testament to the genetic prowess and the nurturing attention bestowed upon Jealousy. The grow room is now a sanctuary of aromas, with the strong strawberry gum scent weaving through the air like a fragrant embrace. It's like the culmination of nature's artistry, where scent and sight converge in a symphony of sensory delight. Now, in the spirit of continuity, let's revisit the decision to raise the TDS to 900 ppm. Jealousy, our green empress, has responded with a vitality that echoes through every leaf and bud. The leaves, now reaching for the light with a heightened enthusiasm, seem to express their gratitude for the nourishment provided. It's like the final act of a botanical performance, where every detail falls into place for the grand finale. And here, my friends, marks the end of an era—the last week of feedings. It's a poignant moment in our green saga, as Jealousy has absorbed the nutrients and care bestowed upon her, transforming them into a spectacle of botanical magnificence. The decision to cease feedings is a nod to the impending culmination of this horticultural journey, where we transition from the act of cultivation to the anticipation of harvest. Before we conclude this final chapter, let's extend our heartfelt gratitude and shout-outs to Zamnesia, Plagron, Grow Diaries, and the vibrant community. Your support and contributions have been the guiding lights on this green expedition. To my fellow contestants and growers, as we bid adieu to the feedings, may your own botanical endeavors be blessed with the same opulence and aromatic wonders. Here's to a final week of resplendent buds, fragrant reminiscence, and the anticipation of a harvest that will be the crowning glory of our shared green adventure. Stay green, stay inspired, and keep cultivating those dreams! With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself and always do things expecting nothing in return, with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will respond in ways you can’t even dream of . Friendly reminder: all you see here is pure research and for educational purposes only. Slight nute burn from last weeks feeding, you can just see yellowing on the tips, this week just fed water and molasses, 1 tbsp to 3ltrs, also gave a small water mid week, PH at 6.5. For the molasses the filtered water was coming out at a PH of 8, added the molasses which brought it down to 5.8. Plants looking and feeling healthy, I think most of the stretch is over and now she is concentrating on fattening up her buds, starting to frost...boom. Continues to respond well to LST, have only had to give a slight defoliation so far.
