The harvest of my dear Stella was supposed to happen on August 4th, but didn’t begin actually until August 9th. I decided to allow her to dry out a bit before beginning the harvest, but I had some other difficulties which made her dry out a whole lot before I ever even got started. You can tell how dry by looking at the pics and video. Luckily, the dryness was limited to her larger leaves. She was already quite dry on the 9th when I started, and was more so by the 12th when I finished. Even after the advanced drying, her wet trimmed weight was still quite a bit. I’ll list the weights all together in a bit. It took 4 days to get the whole plant trimmed, weighed, and hung up for final drying. She was hung up from August 12th till Friday, August 19th. I got busy harvesting another plant while she was hanging up, and just let her be. On August 19th I took all of her branches down and removed the buds to get the true harvest weight of her buds alone. Let’s get to the weight of the whole thing. The overall wet-trimmed weight of the plant was 18.329 ounces with the buds and branches combined. I was a forgetful idiot and forgot to get the weight of the dry buds on the branches before removing the buds. So all we’re left with is the actual harvest weight of the dry buds alone. The overall dry bud weight, or actual “true” harvest weight of the smokable bud is: 7.317 ounces. That’s a wonderful amount of freshly harvested bud to cure. All of the buds were put into 8 quart sized jars filled roughly 3/4 full, and 1 pint sized jar, also 3/4 full. Each jar has a hygrometer as well as 58% bóveda packs to help aid the curing process. This is the 2nd DarkStar plant I’ve harvested, and both were very large plants. I used a scrog method the first time with a net that spread the whole plant out taking up the entire 4x4 area of the tent. This time I wanted to let her grow more naturally. She got so large that I had to bend almost all of her taller branches over using HST methods. I had to bend 3-5 branches over more than once. By doing that, once her buds began to fatten up she got too heavy and needed to be supported just to stand upright. Toward the end she had to literally be tied up to the side of the tent. Stella (DarkStar) was a wonder to grow, and she gave me a good amount of clones that will soon be harvested themselves. It has been a journey with Stella, and I’m happy that the journey is now complete. Happy growing everyone!

Even problemen gehad met de ph-waarde, waardoor er waarschijnlijk geen correcte voedingsopname was. Mijn planten werden lichter van kleur en sommige bladeren werden zelfs duidelijk geel tussen de nerven.😕 Ik ga er althans vanuit dat dit het probleem was, aangezien ik eventjes kraantjeswater gaf voor de cal en mag maar dit niet afzuurde. Vandaag testte ik de ph-waarde van het kraantjeswater met mijn nieuwe ph meter en kwam ik uit op 7.2, niet goed voor kokos dus. Ik schakelde meteen weer over naar regenwater, wat met voedingsstoffen in mooi uitkwam op ph 5.8👌 Hopend dat ze zich herstellen, update volgt. De groei gaat gelukkig mooi door!💚 Update 11 mei : 2 planten toonden magnesiumtekort door vorige ph problemen met kapotte meter. Je kan dit nog zien op de foto's tussen de nerven. Intussen kokos aangevuld met kieseriet (magnesium) en geen Epsomzout omdat ik dit een lapmiddel vind en liever op lange termijn werk. Na problemen met de ph en substraat gespoeld te hebben, nu ook weer voeding aan het opbouwen👊 Planten stonden hiervoor buiten in een kas, maar hier kreeg ik de luchtvochtigheid niet onder controle (bleef boven de 80 zitten). Ze zijn nu verhuisd naar hun nieuwe verblijf, mijn schuur waar ik altijd kweekte. Buitenkas was een test, maar is dus geen goede optie👎 Op de foto's en video kan je zien dat ze nu veel beter wonen🌱 Update 14/05 : Eerst laten herstellen van magnesiumtekort. Fimmen + LST gestart. Ik leg mijn planten graag plat💚

Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. The ladies had another great week, I got the Durban Nights, Red Hot Cookies, and Sundae Driverr's second toppings completed on day 26, and I got the second toppings done on the Green Crack and Bubble Runtz on day 27. Right now I have 4 mains on each plant, and I will top each one this week, probably in the next 3-4 days which will leave with me 8 mains. So the mainlines will be completed during week 5, and I plan to flip to flower around week 7. I am still seeing a couple holes on the leaves of the Sundae Driver, but I have treated her twice with neem oil and I don't see any new holes since the last application and I can't see any bugs even with magnification. I am still not sure if it was a bug issue or just a genetic thing. Either way I am not too concerned at this point because they all seem to be very healthy. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very pleased with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. The heat and humidity are finally letting up in my region so it is nice to be able to open some windows and drop the temp outside the grow tent. Sour Stomper and Toof Decay have been trashed. Killed both they just weren't going to come around. # 10 Sour crinkle is doing great #8 Pollinated sour livers on 2 / 2 / 18 on week 6, the structure was way to hard to pass up. She was pollinated outside of the greenhouse. I'm sure the pollen will spread. So the male is a photo ( Cherry pie × Bubble gum ) i will put photos of the males in update. #6 auto Blues gots some calcium issues. So I cut the cal mag out this week. Ya you read that right.

Giorno 14 fioritura Le piante stanno bene. Zombie Kush#1 bella bestia sta iniziando a mettere i primi peletti ora mentre la #2 ha già iniziato da qualche giorno. Come già detto in precedenza penso di avere due fenotipi. La #1 fenotipo Haze mentre la #2 Bubba Kush. Le due Rainbow in ottima salute e odori completamente diversi. La prima sa di citronella mentre la seconda frutti di bosco. Speriamo esca qualche terpene Zkittlez altrimenti tocca fare subito altri due semini 🤣 La Milk Monkey bella bella anche lei. La più grossa di tutte quante e anche quella più indietro di tempi. Staremo a vedere che cosa ne verrà fuori 😊 Ci vediamo settimana prossima e grazie di tutti i commenti e like 🙏
