Right so basically, a week ago today marked a month for these ladies and because I had a broken phone it was very hard to keep up to date with the journal but hopefully now I can keep on top of this grow for you guys. It's been 35 days since germination for the Rhino Ryder and Afghan Kush. I'm using soil from the back garden and now that there is a bit of foliage, with the watering etc. The humidity has risen to a level I'm not happy with to which I'm going to invest in a portable dehumidifier to bring down the moisture in the air. I had to defoliate as it was getting really bushy and the fan was struggling to get air through the fan leaves. I cannot believe the RR, started off as the most finicky plant from germination and now it's the tallest f***er of the 4. She has shot up! I looked at the yellow tips on the leaves and apparently it's a lack of Iron. I read that Iron deficiency can be left to work itself out typically if it's not severe. Usually after a few days after the leaves are left to expand the yellow disappears and they turn a nice fresh green colour. The smell in here is fantastic! I supercropped the tall Enemy of the State branches that were in the light. As you can see In the video there was no light burn! We also have about 30” of light penetration even though I’ve not performed any defoliation! Loving these lights.

Placing a dehumidifier or humidifier in the grow box turned out to be ineffective when both devices have their own automated settings. For instance, a humidifier set to 55% humidity works within a ±5% range, meaning it waits until the humidity drops below 50% to turn on and runs until it hits 60%. Since its sensor refreshes every 30 seconds, it might show 54% one moment and jump to 61% the next—not exactly stable at 55%. The dehumidifier behaves similarly. To achieve more consistent results, it’s better to rely on a hygrometer inside the grow box and use “dumb” devices that simply turn on when powered. Connecting these devices to smart outlets provides more precise control. For manual control, I maintained around 55% humidity by turning the humidifier and exhaust fan on and off via phone. Most moisture and aroma are released during the first three days, then taper off. The common rule of “when thin branches snap, it’s dry” led me to overdry my buds. A more reliable method is to monitor the hygrometer. When humidity stabilizes after the initial rise, wait one more day and then jar the buds. Rehydrating Overdried Buds: Overdried buds can be revived with a small piece of mandarin (or orange) peel, about 2.5x2.5 cm. Thoroughly wash the peel (even sanitize it if needed), cut a square, and place it on top of the buds in the jar. In my experience, this brought the humidity from 46% to 62% within 4 hours. Afterward, burp the jars for 15 minutes and monitor the hygrometer. If the humidity drops below 55%, return the peel for a few more hours. Once stable at 60-62%, remove the peel and continue curing, burping the jars twice daily for 15 minutes. As for humidity packs like Integra Boost or Boveda, I used them because I had some lying around. These packs are designed for 12 grams of product, so they don’t make a big difference in larger jars. If you burp jars daily and gently rotate the buds, they’re not really necessary. Trimming and Results: After 7 days of drying, I decided to trim dry this time. It turned out to be somewhat more convenient—everything gets covered in resin anyway, but the remaining leaves easily fall off, speeding up the process. I went for a tight trim, removing as much as possible. During the process, I felt disappointed seeing how little remained on the branches. The buds turned out airy and small, and I started cursing American genetics halfway through the trim. However, when it came to weighing, the results were surprisingly decent. Considering the buds' poor appearance, they’re not going to impress anyone visually, so it might have been easier to shred everything and use it for extraction. I don’t have extraction equipment, so I’ll make cannabutter from the trim, and the buds can rest in jars for now. Takeaways: Use a proper hygrometer for humidity control, not built-in sensors on humidifiers or dehumidifiers. Overdried buds can be easily rehydrated with citrus peel. Daily burping and rotation are sufficient for curing without humidity packs. Dry trimming can be faster and more convenient but may highlight issues with bud density. Despite underwhelming appearance, high resin content makes the strain great for extraction.

So I started getting this weird deficiency several weeks ago, but now it seems to have taken over the entire plant. I know that RO water has no CalMag, but I upped the CaliMagic dose and its just gotten worse. Going to have to consult with some of my growmies to see whats going on.

Let’s Go Day 81!!!! This week went real great 2 Ogreberrys are hanging to dry and also the Bruce Banner is too after there 48 hr of darkness! The 3 other Ogreberrys began flush on Monday so finish out this week of flush and one more week of flush after that an they will get the chop too! 20.11. 2023 18:00 - Fellows growers probably the last week for RQS on this journey I'm looking forward to it. Everything is ready for the harvest.

This was a very stressful week as there were too many variables at play all at once; even my camera refused to cooperate for the first few days. The freshly transferred plants were starting to droop and I was unsure if it was transplant shock, nutrient burn, or because of the incomplete grow tent. My first batch of nutrients were mixed into a gallon bottle and was weighed by a friend using his scale; this set was enough to last weeks. For this new batch however, I didn't have my scale and used the table spoon as my measuring tool; needless to say when my TDS meter finally arrived, both runoff and the remainder of the mixed nutrients read 2800. Fortunately my light setup seemed to be inefficient still and the plants weren't drawing much nutrients and only ended up with a very light burn on the older growth. All pots were flushed back to recommend levels and the light lowered until the lux values read appropriate. This week ends my daily comments and I'll stick to this end of the week format going forward.

Hello Growmies, Week 14 has blossomed before us, and the unfolding story of the grow is nothing short of inspiring. The buds have ceased their stretch and have entered a stunning phase of swelling, with each day bringing more fullness. A palette of purple is now washing through the colas, hinting at the rich tapestry of flavors that awaits. It's a visual feast, and I can't help but feel this might be one of the most beautiful plants I've had the privilege to cultivate. Continuing with a steady rhythm, she receives 4 liters of nutrient solution every four days, sustaining her needs seamlessly. This grow has been a testament to the fire-and-forget approach, with the plant's robust health and vigorous growth doing all the talking. With both light spectrums blazing at 100%, she's now basking in the full 270 watts of power. Impressively, she's thriving under this intense light, demonstrating her strength and vitality. I've also captured the PAR readings from various heights, showcasing her remarkable light absorption: - The tallest colas stand under an impressive 1,271 and 1,326 μmol/m²/s. - The mid-canopy level measures a healthy 822 μmol/m²/s. - Down at the Scrog level, we're still seeing a substantial 522 μmol/m²/s. These numbers reflect the careful tuning of our light setup, ensuring that every part of the plant is receiving the energy it needs. This grow has been a journey of minimal stress and maximum reward. The ease with which this plant has flourished is a true joy, and sharing each update with you has added to the experience. As we move closer to harvest, the excitement is undeniable. If the appearance and growth rate are anything to go by, we are in for quite a treat. En esta semana quiero destacar el frio que han sufrido las plantas. La Matabi sufrió sobrefertilización (y creo que sucedió porque) debido al frio, la planta chupa mas nutrientes que agua. Regué con los productos órganicos de Gotek El día 24 fueron transplantadas a maceteros finales de 7 litros.

She completed her flowering in 60 days, reaching about 10-15% Amber. She only received water in the last 2 weeks and has been dried out for the last 2-3 days. Her buds are quite big and sticky. The smell is kushy, not a fruity one at all. Let’s see how long it takes to dry. Keeping her in the dark at around 19-20 Celcius and around 60% Humidity.

these girls are getting to the finish line and they are starting to get fat, they are really dense buds, solid as a rock. Added some Epsom Salts and more uptake acids and bloom amendments. Cant wait to smoke these Dank Girls. They will also be going outside for this years outdoor crop.

going fine. that tip bleaching is here to stay :) i’m defoliating and lollipopping everyday. couple of leaves here couple of leaves there a growth tip here a side shoot there.. watered yesterday with 3.5l or something. distilled dehum water. caribe transitioned too fast. it didnt give me any stretch which was strange and cannalope as expected hasnt even started transitioning. i think caribe is gonna be overshadowed by the cannalope. dinachem looks lighter in the photos but its not really that light green in color. dinachem x peyote cookies gave me more stretch than i expected but seed runs are always full of surprises haha they both finished stretching atm so they will start filling up in the coming weeks. destroyers are fine too. yeah tip bleached a bit but leaves are very healthy otherwise. they feel soft and firm which is how they should feel. i’m plucking 10-20 leaves daily and it grows back the next day. they may give me a couple days of stretch but its not gonna grow much more than this. its not gonna double from here i mean and the 2nd destroyer is gonna be about 25% smaller than the 1st because as i mentioned not identical clones when transplanted but i’m still expecting exceptional yields and quality from both. ‘till next week!

Little clean up in the tent things got out of control. By removing lowers and inners that would possibly not produce much will definitely let those tops stack up nicely. These buds will without any doubts be rock solid, I can tell by how sturdy those stems already are. I transplanted this week was a nightmare root mass caught everywhere in the 3 Gal, now into 5’s. 👍✌️

Week six of flower, the 1/2 way point, I might have been a little heavy handed on the bloom nuites this week back to back heavy feedings has given me some burn edges on one of the plants. The pots are still heavy from this weeks feeding. I put them on drain trays to help dry them out a little faster as I do not want root rot or PM, They are starting to stack up and bulk up so Ime gonna just water this week and check the run off to see where the PPM is I bet its high, so I will chime in in a few days and tell you what's up. I have spoken.

I just harvested her today. Frosty looking nuggets with a pine citrus earthy aroma. Super sticky as well. I had about a 5 to 10 percent amber trichromes. I might of been a pinch early, but she was starting to foxtail. The colas look really nuggy. I had issues with mites early when I switched to flowering. This likely impacted some of the yield potential as she was neem oil treated for a week during that time. She did way better then I expected after that big stressor in play. Mites are long gone now. The plant will now hang dry 24 hours then get a light to mild agression wet trim, and end up in the cannatrol. To start a 8 day dry, and cure process. I will then run it in the bud trimmer. Then hand trim to finish. The G3000 light is a great quality light. I just ran it 19 weeks on a photoperiod grow, and had no issues with any of the Spider Farmer Equipment used. I used the 2.3x2.3x5tent, G3000 light, germination mat, 4 inch inline smart controller exhaust fan, and I will be using the new 16 inch Spider Farmer bud trimmer bowl when time comes. Excellent equipment from start to finish in my grow.
