How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. Yes, Freakshow will do exceedingly well indoors, and will thrive and mature just fine in a wide variety of natural environments as well, so it's definitely both and I think might even prove to be more resilient to those sorts of transitions. Q. What are the potency and terpenoid levels? A. Average 18-20% THCa, THC; negligible CBD, CBN with terps variable, averaging 2.5-3.5, primarily limonene and pinene, but this is variable, there was a lot of diversity in terp combinations and compositions in all the prior generations, it's just something that was left "as is" for now. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. No radiation, no recombinant DNA, no gene splicing or editing, no TALEN or CRISPR! These biotechnologies don't belong in the food and medicine plant industries. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Ai Gude Growmies es wird langsam richtig frostig auf den Buds❄️🌌 Seit Blüte Tag 50 überschritten wurde sehe ich täglich wie die Buds Immer mehr Trichome produzieren und Gewicht!❄️❄️❄️ Mimosa die wie beim vorherigen Grow etwas länger brauchen wird nur dieser Klon entwickelt wahrscheinlich wegen Phosphor Mangel zu diesen bunten Spektakel. Aber die Mutter Pflanze wo jetzt davor in die Blüte kam war schon ziemlich groß und musste diesen Klon im aktuellen grow auch Reveggen und trotzdem hat er Größere und schönere Buds entwickelt! Im bekannten Kreis sagen sie auch man meint es wären 2 verschiedene Strains und keine Klone. Habe die White Widow XXL ordentlich entlaubt da ich etwas nachlässig war haben sich an 3 stellen Mehltau niedergelassen. Ich komme nie über 45% LF Nachts eher so 38-42% im Durchschnitt ,Tags über sogar 30-35% LF. Mehltau infiziert waren sie alle leider aber hatte ihn erfolgreich behandelt jetzt am Ende der Blüte entferne ich die Blätter und tupfe sie vorher mit bio Mehltau EX ab. AK47 Hatte auch vorbeugend einen kahl schlag unten rum. Ein Klon aus Feminisierten Samen der sich zuerst absolutes Bastard Cannabis war entwickelte sich zu einem stämigen kompakten Indica zwerg mit schlechten Blüten/Blatt Verhältnis dafür extrem starken oldshool Skunk Duft mit Chemie,Erde und nassen Hund. Die Super Lemon Haze sollte eigentlich eine neue Mutter Pflanze werden aber wurde zu spät geschnitten die hätte ich eher austauschen. Weil man erkennt wenn die Bilder vom Start sieht das die nur 1 bis 3 finger Blätter hatte bzw nur ganz wenige mit mit mal 5 und die Buds sind diesmal auch nicht so Groß und fluffig wie davor sondern sehr kompakt und erinnert mehr an Indica von der Blüten Struktur und Festigkeit. Der Geruch ist auch mehr in Richtung Chemie/Katzenpisse was ich sehr begrüße. Nach ndl und 1 led grow und jetzt der 3 mit den selben Genetiken kann ich jetzt schon sagen dass ich Super Lemon Haze und Ak47 erstmal lange Zeit nicht mehr growen. Ich weiß nicht ob es Einbildung ist oder wirklich so das ich konstant zu jeden Durchgang bessere Ergebnisse bekam aber die Pflanzen von Serious Seeds und Green House Seeds nicht so darauf ansprach wie die Genetiken von Barney's Farm. Grade die White Widow XXL hat mich wirklich überrascht ich war anfangs enttäuscht weil die Pflanze fast wie eine reine sativa wächst in der vegi Phase die ohne toppen safe über 150cm geworden. Wenn man die mit der SLH vergleichen will habe beide lange Internodien Abstände und kaum Blätter wuchs bzw Super Blüte/Blatt Verhältnis! Nur an den Blüten der WW die extrem Kompakt und Schwer werden zeigt sich der angebliche 75% Indica Anteil mit bis zu 26% THC. Das XXL am ende hat sich der strain verdient!!! Was in den 90er WW und AK47 waren und in den 2000er Die SLH als hype Strains hat es Barneys farm geschafft für mich die WW so zu updaten Dass sie sich Aroma und Geschmack so wie Wirkung wie damals Riecht, schmeckt und kickt. Konnte mehrfach bei Bekannten das Apotheken White Widow unterschiedlicher Preise und Herkunft probieren und je nach Qualität war es OK für den Preis. Mr nice guy seeds Black Widow oder die ww Inbreed line von GHS ist auch absolut empfehlenswert wer den Hype von damals nachvollziehen möchte. Die WW von Barney's Farm will ich mit GMO mal "ersetzen" oder aus Regulären Samen Mutter Pflanzen selektieren. Die Mimosa Evo war was die Genetik angeht es neuste im Zelt und habe vorher lange recherchiert weil mir die ganzen neuen Candy Ice Dessert sweet tutti frutti breath nicht so zusagen aber ich eine Sorte wollte die bis zu30%THC erreichen kann und mit Farbe:D Mich hat damals schon Tangerine Dream absolut positiv überrascht mit Süßen Mandarine am anfang und g13 und Nevilles A5 Haze im abgang und sehr stark war die zu der Zeit. Mimosa Evo riecht hauptsächlich fruchtig nach Orange, Zitrone und Waldbeeren beim Rauchen kommt PP durch und Erde,Diesel gasig. In diesem Grow verwende ich das erste mal CANNA Terra Professional Plus Erde und Hydrokugel im Topf Boden. So wie CANNAZYM und CANNA Calmag Agent. Man sieht und riecht den Unterschied schon zum vorherigen Grow mit BioBizz All Mix Erde und BB Calmag. Ich möchte die Erde von Canna wiederverwen weshalb ich mir CANNAZYM holte. Bin vorsichtig bei Zusätze Dünger wie z.b Wurzel Stimmulator hatte bis her nie Probleme im wurzel Bereich. MONO Präparate sind absolut brauchbar wenn man gezielt Mangel Erscheinungen bekämpfen will. Habe vor 21 angefangen zu Growen mal größer mal kleiner aber konstant mit kleinen Pausen seitdem dünge ich Mineralisch mit CANNA und Guano. Organisch Düngen werde ich allein deswegen schon testen wegen Geschmack und Aroma. Denke bis spätestens 22.5 sind alle rdy und Mein Grow report ist dann abgeschlossen 😍🌈🌌 *Update * muss die Leistung der Lampe drosseln sie wird einfach zu warm aber bei fast 26C° tagsüber kann ich schwer die heiße Luft austauschen obwohl die abluft in einen anderen Raum geleitet wird.

i’m definitely starting to notice my buds fattening up, the smell is increasingly getting stronger every day! I am watering every three days at this point. On my next watering I’m going to incorporate overdrive as well as mother of all blooms for this final stretch. This is my first grow and I’m getting a little nervous about the drying and curing process I’ve been watching a bunch of videos trying to prepare myself the hardest thing for me is going to be the heat and trying to stop my plants from drying too quickly.

I am feeding with tps one and CalMag oac one time, then it’s back to regular tap water (well water) that comes at 8.5 pH with 156ppm of tds. The feed was approx a pH of 6.5. More importantly is the consistent soil pH which appears fixed at 6.8 I know it’s lazy! However…. I have noticed doing this to reveal to me that the soil pH is very stubborn and not easily changed by the pH of the water alone. Stuff in the water can definitely have an impact. But still, most feed waters I use don’t change the soil ph. I do make sure the pH is within a healthy range for soil, something between 6 and 7 I figure is ideal. I’ve found if there is enough lime in the mix, and as long as I don’t over feed soluble nutes, then the soil pH appears stable and fixed. With enough lime in the mix, I can ultimately arrest the soil pH at 7. It’s really cool. I thought adding too much lime would give me something potentially alkaline, and maybe it will. But I’ve added lots of lime before and still haven’t gotten past 7 pH. Maybe I didn’t add enough to go further? Nevertheless I’m not interested in going past 7. I haven’t seen any issues with the speed of growth watering with 8.5 tap water, surprisingly. As I’ve said the soil pH would read 6.8 before and immediately after watering with the 8.5 tap. So….. I’m thinking the stability of the soil pH is a positive indication that the microbes are not being subjected to pH shifts, or at least nothing substantial. I mean, at the end of the day when things are looking good, I feel like I must have something right.

Oltre alla super altezza di 160 cm, ormai raggiunta da quasi tutte e tre, i buds sono sempre più grassi ora misurano 2,5 cm quelli secondari e le apicali 3/3,5 cm. Questa settimana si saranno allargati di 1 cm abbondante. Sbalorditivo😍 L odore è buonissimo. Un forte profumo dolce di mandarino pervade il naso appena apro il loro lato della tenda.🤤 Ho defogliato loro nel giorno 67 e ho allargato la numero 1 con un po di Lst nel giorno 70. I nuts rimangono invatiati.👍 Eh niente! Day 106. Girls starting to finish. Smellish, crystally, but buds are small and airy. If no thirps or molasses issues my heart would be singing now, but it is as it is. 2 skunks are really great, think 3 cheeses are okeish, but far from my targets and plans .... Anyway, final weight will cheer me up or totally crush ... ;))) Two more weeks left, at least 10 days till chop. No nutes , all feeding was finished last week. Happy Growing !!

3 days late into update... personal issues... All girls doing great , sweet and sour is the only one experiencing some gold color on the leaves so i didnt feed anything after the last flush. Sweet deep grape - amazing scent, its like i can smell berries and grape mixed together Sweet and sour + strawberry - very sweet very fruity, similar to grape but here i can also feel some pineapple with mango, crazy Remo chemo - nothing too strong but very sweet Ayahuasca - nuts and petrol, she actualy stinks so i am afraid i wont like it Og kush- amazing , sticky and greasy and huge buds, amazing orange color and very sweet scent Blue medi kush - reminds me of my mega, hashy smell to it with sweet undertones, i blv i will love it Og candy dawg and grandaddy both have rockhard structure and smell similar, grandaddy is kinda more hashy like though Amazing garden this time, really is I am very happy with where i am today and i give compliments to every seedbank i am currently growing, it feels great to be your friend. I respect you all and its my pleasure to show the world a bunch of different strains 💪
