Most of the week was spent setting up the hydro grow. Needed to build a DIY chiller since air temp in our grow room is hot, and water needs to be a good deal colder. Fridge from kijiji, garden hose, fittings, and submersible pump all in were under $100 but knowing what I know now I'd likely go with a thermoelectric chiller (DIY, with power supply and temp controller) next time around. Looking forward to tracking metrics and seeing how it goes :). Seems there's a lot of contradiction in terms of level of nutrients recommended, max water temperature, using H2O2 to boost water temp that can keep algae and rot at bay, etc. Got my hands on some Hydroguard via Amazon... despite local shops saying you can't get it in Canada... so I'm going to go with that instead of H2O2 to start, despite water temp getting up above 21 C (70 f) during the day. Fingers crossed. Update - keeping water reservoir tank under 20 C now by using reflective bubble wrap insulation on the reservoir itself and pipe insulation as well. It's a 10 C difference from the room temp, so I'm SUPER pleased with that.

Had a small issue this week where temp dropped a bit, I was on vacation for a few days and a window got left open to the room the tent is in. The room got down to 62f with the lights on. lights off temp wasn't much cooler. I noticed some canoeing on leaves near the center of the room, I am hoping this was just caused by the temperature stress that happened by the sudden drop. I fixed the temp and issue and it should be back to normal. Trichome's look great under microscope. Getting tightly packed and very cloudy, very little amber color at this point. Cheese #1 Has swelled up quite a bit over the last 5 days, The buds on it are noticeably larger than the ones on Cheese #2 I have moved the led light to cast more on cheese #2 in hopes to get the buds on it to catch up to #1 Still dealing with small calcium deficiencies, I will do a light flush this week of 1/2 strength nutrients and Cal at 6.5 Mid Weekupdate: Flushed plants with 1/3rd nutrient dose and full strength cal mag. Adjusted ph. to 6.5 to allow for better uptake of calcium. The calcium issue isnt bad just some small spotting but I am trying to get ahead of it as there is supposed to be 4 weeks left on the strain. The buds have started to tighten and get more dense. Hairs are about 40% red, some are receding into the bud. Smells like citrus.

Lilly x White Widow is doing good. She has finished, and is ripening well. I am just a little past when I would like to cut her. I am waiting on space in Cannatrol. So I have to cycle them in to it in 8 day gaps. Her next update will be her Harvest. I did reduce the light strength on the Spider Farmer G5000/UVR40 lights to 60 percent. She is just riding out her time flushing to her cut date. Heavy defoliation and a few days of regrowth before flipping into week 1 of flower. More LST to branch out the manifold as well.

Dropped two seeds into shot glass of water, and let them soak for two days. Once the seeds cracked open they went into living soil. I prepped one gallon fabric pots of Gaia greens living soil(recycled), all purpose(1tbs), and power bloom(1tbs). Watered the pots the day before the seeds went into soil to acclimate the soil to the tent's conditions.

Harvested on day 66, overall very happy with how these ladies turned out & will definitely be growing them again! Wish all 3 could have put off buds like 1 of them did but the other 2 had some small issues & I feel like that’s why the didn’t produce as well! One of the LCC and the RAK are little runtz, and the other LCC is growing almost twice as tall. They all look pretty healthy, and I am trying hard not to over do it with light intensity. I think in about a week or so they will go into flower.

Today is day 71 for these ladies and they are doing just amazing! Stacking up densely with a Very sweet smell , I still get hints of vanilla ! Not to much longer to go these girls few more weeks an they should be done! Stay tuned for next week ! ✌️

My gas tax plant is looking absolutely incredible right now. It's got these massive buds that are super dense and have this awesome dark color to the leaves. I'm so excited to see how it turns out when it's finally ready to be harvested. I've been checking the height, the thickness of the stem, and the density of the buds to get an idea of how much longer I have to wait. I think I might start flushing it soon. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.

Alaskan Purple Auto is growing great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. She got a solution change today that is geared towards blooming. She also had a selective defoliation done to make sure cola sites are getting good light. She has been stacking, and getting ready to start bulking soon. Everything is looking good. She did start to show some potassium deficiency is why I changed the solution. It was also due. 🤞🏻 I didn't juice her too much on the change. Shortly after they were switched to flowering (after week 3) the plants continue to stretch and then start to develop their first flowers. Now in week 7 all plants have very nice flower clusters all over the plant and side branches. They have grown to 45 cm (=Shiva Skunk on left side) and 40 cm (Serious Kush on right side of aisle) in height respectively and all plants have a nice dark green color, which shows they are healthy and also that the Advanced Nutrients schedule works like a treat. The Q6W-Gen.2 LED-Lamps are now dimmed to 100% (=three green LEDs on the dimmer) and work on FULL POWER, which ensures full fledged flower production. Both varieties have now started to exude their typical aroma. The Shiva Skunk starts to smell musky and sweet, while the Serious Kush smells 'gassy' and 'fuely' like its OG-Kush heritage. The flower clusters on the Serious Kush appear to grow denser than the clusters on the Shiva Skunk.
