Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Fo' Twenny here back with another update! I will be updating and uploading more photos through out the week. I hope you'll ride along and give me a follow! The deets: Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5 and then add .25 tsp of recharge. 8/16 - 8 days post sow. All but 2 seeds have sprouted. I was especially concerned for the Melon Gum because I only had a 2 pack and both beans were quite pale. I gently dug around in the peat pellets and found the bean with a fresh, healthy tap root! I expect she should be popping up by tomorrow evening. The other bean yet to pop is the Jenny Kush. I was gifted 5 Jenny Kush seeds, and I will wait until tomorrow to see if she sprouts a tap root before popping another one. Hopefully, I will have more luck with the next one. Successful germination in 16 of 17 photoperiod seeds. With a total of 19 of 20 if you include the 3 autoflowering cultivars running along side. They're being documented in separate diaries and will stay in the veg tent when the photoperiods are moved into the bloom room. Go check 'em out! 8/20 Update: Melon Gum has sprouted. If you're not following my Zkittlez Auto diary, you missed that I almost killed this girl on accident. Graceful me, knocked over her solo cup and she got stuck to a sticky trap. Her stem split in half and I put a piece fabric medical tape to mend her and she is actually growing and doing well regardless of her injuries. All the girls, except Jenny have sprouted and are developing. I planted a new Jenny seed 8/18 and left the original in too, just in case. These babies are as happy as can be, for real. I feel like since my first grow was ten plants all at once, that everything seems easier because of that. Cuz these girls look phenomenal.

Nute mix is now 150ml A, 150ml B, 50ml PK13/14, 100ml Rhizo, 25ml CalMag and 25ml cannazyme. Nute mix information PH: 6.4 EC: 2.0 Temp: 21c They are doing far better than I would have thought but the proof's in the pudding. Not that smelly except for lights off.

Week 16 Day 106 | 25/10/2021: No time today Day 107 | 26/10/2021:💧 They just look so amazing, I can't stop looking at them I think this will be the last watering with nutrients actually, I realised this is meant to be their 2nd last week! Gave them 3ml CalMag, 4.5ml TopMax, and 4.5ml BioBloom. They grow up so fast :’) Day 108 | 27/10/2021: No time today Day 109 | 28/10/2021: No time today Day 110 | 29/10/2021 :💧 So the flush starts today! Actually it’s not a pure flush because I’m still adding TopMax to this watering just to give them that last boost (6ml). I also checked the trichomes and I think I will give them some extra time so will harvest sometime in the middle of week 18 Day 111 | 30/10/2021: No time today Day 112 | 31/10/2021: Girls A & D got a bit of a photoshoot today with better lighting! I still wish I had a better macro camera because the trichome details are really not being captured well. But their colours are still amazing 😍

Last week before flowering 😊😄😝 The plants did an excellent job last week. The repotting to the large pots has done them well. 👍 I have watered the plants 3 times now. First two times 5 liters of water, containing 1 tablet of RQS Easy Grow Booster. The third time 1.5 tablet for 5 liters of water. Mind ! It takes a while before the tablets are dissolved! 😹 The color of the new leaves is beautifully green. The VPD is now also perfect most of the time with a value of 1.0 👌 For that I had to increase the relative humidity to almost 70%. 😭 I attached the plants that are somewhat larger, to the plant sticks, with a plastic binding strip. In this way I pull the plants to the same height as the smaller plants. This gives me a nice match canopy. The lower side branches of the large plants will now develop more, but I will remove them later. 👽 The plants now get 18 hours of light, so that the shock is a little less when they go to 12/12. 🙏

I did some LTS and they really grew both taller and wider. These girls are pretty massive. I'm thinking I might need to defoliate some big leafs, clean up some lower leafs and do some more LST.

Day 99. Garden is flying. Nothing else to mention now, you can easy spot - they bulk up ! Heavy feed in the morning, then 2 more cycles of feed/pure_water left till flush for Gorillas, all others at least a week behind. Hate to split waterings and feed, but even lazy person sometimes is forced to ... ;)) Happy growing ! Day 100. Disaster in Garden !!!! Had enough of RQS Royal Cookies. Two of them went Hermie. So current stats : 5 out 5 are mutated 2 out 5 currently Hermie 5 out of 5 overfed without any food even Because of that shitty genetics, had to make Control Garden. Even Cookie from CG which is in green house still grow mutated and leaves are on max healthy green side. Had no nutes for last 30 days, still haven't returned to normal ... So two girls chopped, hope they didn't pollinate all garden... In photos you can find bananas... Those air pots works really great, all space is used and roots are really nice. Just i think i will go to 30 liters next time. Have fabrics, but my doubts of those air pots are gone. Bad day for sure. 15 weeks, 50 pounds for seeds, 30 for soil, 50 for nutes. Thats my bill without electrics ..... #RQS is crap !!!!! James from them just asked where i bought the seeds, never had balls to replay back ... Ironic theirs girls has BALLS and it makes me angry ... Day 101. Damage is done, i see many seeds growing, it took me unprepared .... I dont sell weed, but to check every bud before grind is lame for me ... F@%k you RQS. Never again, despite having like 10 more theirs beans of 4 dif strains .... to the bin now !!!! Day 102. so people are going to ask ? where's the buds well I'm 3 days into drying and soon as everything is dyed I will share the details of everything but long story short..... I wanted to see if I could push my skills, by doing newbie outdoor mistakes like mold, heat and cold issues, pests, animals, nute problems and limiting myself to a budget of £50 for the plant so I could prove you dont need a fancy set up to get good grade cannabis. all it takes is skill, time and love for the plant. bare in mind I stay in Scotland where the misconception is you can't grow cannabis out here at all. well that's wrong I've had lemon haze grow outdoors fine that was a meter and a half tall. and this peyote reached 50cm max until I had to cut the main stem as I was having growth issues with the main stem holding the plant back. but tune in next week when is dried,smoked a little and then after that cured. I know this community is one of the friendliest I have met but I just don't want people making assumptions biased on 1 plant I've posted.

The girls are looking happy. 4/4 germinated and are all doing fine so far. Very excited for this run as the Falcon 9 x Peach Ozz cross sounds very tasty to me. Also interested to see how similar the four different plant will be.

I converted an old cloning machine I had DIY constructed a few years ago into being able to do clones still and also start seeds in peat moss pellets. Hopefully it will work as good as it did for my clones, I had 100% success rate for clones in it before. I have 3 Obi-Wan Kush seeds that sat in a cup of water overnight and then put in the peat moss pellets Into the cloning machine. It is sitting in 24 dark untill the seedlings emerge. I am starting them in my veg tent that is 4’x4’ under a Morsen 1000w(170w true power) LED. I will be moving them to 3gal DWC buckets when they are done rooting in my machine and add another 1000w Morsen LED. We will veg in this tent for approx 4-6 weeks before moving them to my flower tent with a 1000w HPS on a light mover in a 4’x8’ tent with a 5gal RDWC setup. I have grown this strain before from Canuck Seeds and it is one of my favourites to grow and smoke. ****update: so the peat moss pellets where a bust in the cloning machine so far...lol They where just to wet and where probably starting to drown the seeds. So I took them out and have them in a seedling tray drying out. I Will just be putting them in my DWC starter buckets once they sprout up.

Well this was the last week! Had to chop her for various reasons but she’s pretty much done! I will let the pics and videos do the talking! I will update in 7 days with details of the harvest weights etc 😎
