another uneventful week. the girl is still creating nodes like crazy ... she is growing sideways rather than rushing for the lights. i raised the lights higher to about 12" from the top of the leaves. i also changed the nutrients from a seedling recipe to an early growth stage recipe that is richer in nitrogen with a higher ec 1.2. i also got to see the roots for the first time, they are looking really nice - white and fuzzy. i made the main nutrient tank more permanent and relocated the used nutrient and fresh nutrient tanks in their own chamber so, it's even easier to do manual nutrient changes (1 container in and 1 container out sort thing). later on, in the week, i noticed the main roots showing a little discoloration, not sure if i should be concerned about this, but she looks healthy.. it was fun using the doser again as i really hate mixing chem's since my days in chemistry labs. looking forward to new aggressive growth this week.

I am doing this for the first time and have tested different methods: 1) I put the bag on the branches, but condensation collects in these bags and kills this pollen, maybe I don’t understand something, I heard about this method quite often, but I still don’t understand how it works 2) I laid the sheets under the plants, the pollen does not seem to fall off as much as I would like and there is also a lot of debris left on the sheets. The method certainly works, but there are some nuances 3) For myself, I chose to collect pollen by hand from the leaves, simply brushing it directly into the storage container with a brush. Since this is my first experience, I don’t know how pollen behaves in a box and specifically in my box, so I try to apply it manually to the largest plant, in the end it will be clear whether this makes sense or whether the pollen itself gets to the flowers perfectly. One of my girls was attacked by a fan, which I turned off and fixed at the very top so that when I opened the box, it wouldn’t blow pollen out for me. As a result, it fell and broke a couple of good branches😭😭😭, now I have a wonderful bouquet of plants in my bedroom In general, I increased it to 1000, but I continue to give different doses so as not to catch salting. Week 2 of flower is in the books and all 3 girls are looking extremely healthy. Perfect time to start packing on the weight. There are tons if bud sites that will get tons of light due to all the defoliation I've done. I've never defiliated plants this much before and I'm curious to see the difference in bud production below the canopy level. I love trying new things and experimenting with these plants. Always coming up with new ideas on how to do things and making things easier along the way. Can't wait to see how much I'll get off all 3 and see the difference in phenotypes.

If you've followed my previous diary, i was waiting for this house I'm living at to sell but its been slow since march and i really feel like its going to be on market for a while with going price. Im taking a gamble here and if it does happen to sell i got 60 day or so to move out and i think worse comes to worse i got a friend who can transport them safely and care for them while i move. Lets get this going !! Femenized M39 Granddady ( m39xGranddaddy purple ) I'm very eager to see these girls grow big ! They are currently substrate germinating. I bought 5 from Q.C.S and they threw in 4 Quebec White Feminized seeds which i donated to a friend who hasn't planted them yet. Very satisfied with the packaging Q.C.S provided and the bonus. Edit: I was using a no name peat I had laying around that had dried out, I picked up an organic micro active pro mix peat today and fished out the seeds. They had successfully germinated and I picked them up with tweezer ever so gently and placed into new smaller cups. I think some may frown and say I should have left them but the tap roots were only like 1cm just coming out. In my opinion no different than grabbing em off a wet paper towel. I just wanted them to have best success at growing strong with healthier medium. I have faith i did the right move for better seedlings. 8) see you guys when we have life appearing outside the cup :D we also plan on doing this whole grow Organic. Will be my first time all Organic Day 4, Seedlings are emerged and strong. Light is set to 21 inches from the seedlings. Ive mixed the live soil two weeks early and will continue to stir daily. I fed the live soil ( pro mix organic ) Gaia Green 4-4-4, Epsom salt at 1 teaspoon per litre. and black earth.(documented in a book ) with home made fruit and egg shell compost. eyed up a 1:3 ratio of perlite. 1:3 Worm casting. I gave the soil a treatment of Monkey Juice microbes. Should be some very healthy soil when it comes time to use it. PPE arrived aswell, not taking chances with contamination this time as it made my last grow very challenging. Added a clip of grow room im using. Fresh air induction and exhaust running to outside the house with a carbon filter installed.

Well, I managed to do something that I really didn't expect :) the yield is small, just like the pot :) it was a wonderful trip ;) but from now on I will only grow it in big pots :) good luck to everyone :) I will add weight when it is ready :)

She is looking awesome 12/21 - water only feeding 6.3ph 12/22 - she's all set for 7 days of auto watering with 2.5 gallons of nutrient mixed water at 6.3ph. On tuesday I did a second round of topping. 8 healthy branches are starting to form. Did a full water replacement on day 7 since the last change to avoid deficiencies. On friday I replaced the growtent with a new G-Tools 0.35M2 closet. I like the serene look that it creates.

Well i ran into some problems, water temps too high over the weekend (i wasn't there) but roots and plant still looked healthy despise 24,5°C water temp over 2 days. I added 2,5ml each Hydro A & B on day 15. EC rised to 0,89 / PPM 445 and two days later ppm still the same i guess because the only part of the root touching the water couldn't uptake any nutes because of the high water temp? (everything above the water looks healthy af tho) Since my apartment is usually really hot in the summer i bought a TEC peltier water cooler + pump and a thermo regulator to ensure the water temps will stay between 20 and 21°C. i just need to wire that up and diy saved me me a lot of money. i payed about 100€ and have automatic temperature control and a cooler from amazon about 200+ € so i think its fine. I'll show you the set up once it's completed and works. Its the best budget cooling i could get my hands on imo. Today is Day 19 my parts came and i really managed it to half ass wire shit and not burning down something. wish me luck. I payed a total of 93,22€ and now got a really quiet, 150w DIY Peltier/TEC) cooler that automatically turns on once the water temp hits 21°C (69,8F) and stops when hitting 20°C. So far its working REALLY well. like im amazed and so proud i managed to do that and it was pretty easy. i had big problems with temps in my attic flat and water temps quickly rising to 24° and more which means root rot. Since i use the cooler all new roots just looking healthy as fuck. the plant is growing well and i see every day progress. So i saved a shit ton of money. the cheapest water cooler i could find on amazon was around 350+€. Sure it bet it works better, is safer to touch, not very likely to cause burning down my house because i had to twist copper wires together and let 230V run trough it BUT no way i have that much money for things like that. The cooler cools water temps from 21,5° to 20° in about 15minutes. the longer it runs the better it cools. i bought a temperature controller outlet ( 25€) which let me set 2 temps and it turning the cooler on and off. I had to cool it down manually every 2 hours before with frozen water bottles💀 So here are the stats for day 19: Water Temps: 20-21°C / pH: 5.42 / PPM: 485 / EC: 0.96 / height: 2,5cm (lol) (i added some more Hydro A and B because i thought i maybe see some nitrogen deficiency) i bet i will see some RAPID growth now since everything is dialed in, hopefully lol 150g im coming!

Gorgeous looking plant, you can tell she's definitely an indica strain by those beautiful fat leaves that she has, I'm very excited to try this strain for the 1st time, and also it's the first time I grow a strain from this Spanish Bank from the canary islands! I'm pumped to be able to grow her this year, let's see how she performs!!
