Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 2 weeks into flower, and the stretch is winding down. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I will start to add a PK booster this week. I also will be switching to light from V1 to F1 sometime this week, and also integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 90% in the V1 cycle and will be transitioning to the F1 cycle later this week. Overall, the plants seem very happy and healthy. The temperature and humidity is significantly dropping so that helps keeping the tent cool and not overly humid. This is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. After i ended mast week with hurting her, I decided to give her some extra support on the 2main colas. I did this by putting 2 more wooden sticks next to the colas. It wasn't a pleasant thing to do because i could feel the stick penetrating te roots. hopefully i did'nt hurt them to bad. after that I tied them up to the stick instead of keep pulling them down like like i intended to do. I noticed that the weather is changing and the forecast predicted stormy nights. putting her inside is no option, so i'll guess giving her extra support with sticks was the best thing to do. i will also place her under a shed at night, if it doesnt get blown away by the storm

Germination when great we are now into week one of the grow stage . I started feeding it 320ppm of the expert nutrients line of grow. She seems to be nice and healthy with the beautiful green colour I will be updating every week so tune in and thank you for looking at my diary and always remember it's 420 somewhere 🌱👍

Seems to be doing well. I still can't place the smell. I think it will be tasty and potent.

Day 37 - Into the beginnings of week 6 and nothing much to speak of right now. I did tie down most of her branches again because they were starting to get pretty lengthy and want to try and keep everything as even as possible. Day 38 - All in all looking good and did a little more LST with her but some of the upper leaves are hanging low and think it’s due to the heat. I’m doing what I can to get it as cool as I can but can’t seem to get it below about 82 when lights are on. Temps are supposed to be cooling down around here in a couple days and hopefully she’ll be better but if not, I might change everything to lights off during the day and on at night. If by the end of this week it’s not cooler, I’ll change the schedule up. Day 39 - All seems to be ok, just trying to beat the heat for hopefully, a few more days. She’s still good on water and won’t probably need any for a few more days. Day 40 - Getting a little worried about this girl, she’s definitely not liking the heat and I’m hoping it’s not screwing her but it is finally cooling down and bit so hopefully she’ll perk back up. She’s finally ready for some water tomorrow but I’ll have to look back at my notes and see if she’s ready for nutes or another plain water. Day 41 - Still not looking all that great but gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today so hoping that maybe that’s all she needs to perk her up. Hoping it’s not too late for her.

It grew so fast, I’d definitely recommend it for a first time grower, im gonna try growing a photo next time, It’s was very sweet tasting, but a bit dry think I need to learn a bit more about drying and curing before my next grow

One more week of veg then flipping the lights to 12/12. I've been so busy with work and the outside garden that I haven't had much time to maintain these plants but they are doing very well considering. I've topped all plants and pulled branches down to spread canopy. A lot of defoliation has been needed along the way and I've done some lst and hst also. Once I flip the lights they should fill the tent up nicely. Being conservative with the nutrients. I will bump up a little bit once they are in flower.

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible.
