“The Thrown” which is my tallest plant gave me some issues this week due to the fact that I had to suppress the plant because of the height. Broke a few branches that I had to tape up which is not a problem. I break branches on the regular around here purposely for growth 😈. Heavy rain this week, so I had to watch out for humidity issues, which I took care of. On top of that my basement flooded, had to break out the water pump. This transition week i’m glad I was able to have more time at home to monitor my plants. Unfortunately, this week I have overwatered her as I was going on vacation and a bit over protective and because of that I can see wilted leaves and brown spots. I left it to dry for 3-4 days and now I can see some new green leaves showing up. Sep 2nd: I can see that she is becoming healthier now and the green leaves are taking over

Got the Spider Farmer wicking system set up with a reservoir. Up until now I’ve been using purchased pure water since it came with a better starting pH than my tap. After running the numbers, the cost of hauling jugs didn’t make sense long term. I ended up grabbing an RV water inline filter for the garden hose, which strips out most of the chlorine and other contaminants I was worried about. Goal was mostly a stable water source because the girls are getting thirsty; I still prefer hand-watering to wet and activate the top dress. Access is only from one side of the 5×5, so as they bulk up I’m learning the back two are a chore to reach. The wicking pads help keep things even between rounds, but I’m still going in by hand to finish the job. Did a defoliation pass; airflow and light paths improved, but I may need to push it a bit further because I don’t want a lot of larf. Crazy how much plant material I pulled off but they seem fine. Light feels like the current yield limiter. The SF4000 is solid but a touch undersized for full 5×5 penetration, the lower canopy isn’t getting what I want. I’m eyeing a higher-wattage bar style light for better edge uniformity and deeper PAR at canopy. I’ve been testing edge light saturation with the SpiderF PPFD sensor at canopy height. Center readings are strong but the corners and long edges are clearly lacking. Smaller tent or smaller plants another option maybe. Im at 100% on my light and will be for the rest of the grow just raising it to keep distance. Plants look happy overall. The Durban Cookies is standing out, taller and more vigorous than the 10th Planets especially for being a week younger than the rest. I am guessing it will be harvested first just by stretch speed alone. The 10th Planets R1s all have a pretty even canopy going but showing stretch. Wicking system + hand-water combo is keeping the media right where I want it, and the top dress from last week is kicking in. Reminding everyone this is my first grow. Hoping for a pound dry, but I won’t be greedy. Keeping my expectations realistic! Thanks for following along.

Day 74 (28/05/18) - 2 of the Girl scout cookies are looking very close to being finished and seeing all cloudy trichomes with a couple amber. I look for 80/20% ratio of cloudy/milky to amber trichomes for harvest as this gives the best medicinal effects from my experiences. Flushing the GSC and will be waiting for her to use up the remainder of her nutrients in the leaves before I chop, hopefully get a nice fade. One of the Stardawg girls isn't so far behind but being more sativa dominant, I expected that. May upload one picture of her and how she is getting on. The smell coming from the GSC is so potent and sweet. Hoping the smoke quality lives up to the smell. Not long to go now.

Planta linda, com buds com tons de laranja muitos lindos. Com muito polem, deve ser muito boa para fazer haxixe com dry-ice e sobre tudo muito resinosa. Tocar nela é ter certeza que ficara com a mao colando. Pelo contrario sinto que os buds estao piquenos... Nao sei se é por causa da minha lampada pois sinto que os tricomas estao ficando leitosos só que os buds nao engordaram...

11/30: I harvested the first 6 today, flushed 5 more for the second time, and fed everybody else for the last time. I washed all the branches using the 4-step method ascribed by Doc Bud at High Times/420magazine and many other notable cannabis connoisseurs, with slight modifications: 4 x big plastic totes/bins 8 x ounces of 12% hydrogen peroxide (or 32 ounces of 3%) 2 x cups of concentrated lemon juice 2 x cups of baking soda 10 x gallons of water in each bin Unless your tap water stinks, you're safe to use tap water for the procedure, but I used an inline carbon hose filter to fill my buckets. Bin #1 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the hydrogen peroxide Bin #2 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the lemon juice and baking soda Bin #3 - 10 gallons of water as hot tap water Bin #4 - 10 gallons of cold tap water I was mainly concerned about removing as much lint and cat/dog hair as possible, but also rinsing off any residue left from all the various foliar applications of humic/fulvic acid, kelp, axiom, big bloom, and tiger bloom I did. First, I put my leaf blower on low speed and blasted my plants thoroughly, one at a time, replicating 50-60mph winds for about 10 seconds and watched as a whirlwind of debris and hair flew out the back door. Bud-washing: Pluck any necrotic plant material and any old fan leaves off while they're still on the plant. Then, take a handful of branches and submerge them in Bin #1 for about 30 seconds, agitating it, removing from water, submerging again, agitating, etc...then remove it and let it drip out for a few seconds...then repeat the process with Bins #2-4. Let it drip dry overnight with a little bit of airflow, then dry as you normally would...baskets, boxes, etc.. I hadn't watered these plants in a few days, so they were almost in draught, but after doing this procedure, they were fully hydrated(turgid) and seemed to have brighter colors than before. Nice!😍 12/1: The bottom part of the closet seems empty with only 9 plants in there.. 😟 I cut the harvested plants up and put them into drying baskets in the top of my closet with a small oscillating fan on. I've got the temperature fluctuating between 68f and 75f and the RH is staying between 48% and 52%. To do that, I had to take down the small light in the top of the closet to fit the drying baskets up there. So, I moved the 3 shorter plants still up there down to the bottom and put them on top of buckets. Now the bottom of the closet looks full again!😃 I'm anxious to finish up this grow so I can get busy growing the Fastbuds Fast Flowering Photo Testers!!! When I harvest the next 5, I'll flush the remaining plants really well and that will be all the flushing they'll get..I'll let them dry back out for a few days and harvest them. I've got to make some minor improvements to the garden (adding UV, blue and red/far red booster panels and intake fans) That should put me on track to start germinating them by mid-December if all goes well. 12/3: ...early a.m... The harvested plants are already dry!?!?? And have excellent texture??? Wow..bud washing is for real..roughly 48 hours after I hung them to drip dry, and 40 hours after I put them in baskets in 50% RH/70f conditions with moderate airflow...usually takes 4 or 5 days to get a good slow-dry in the same conditions, so I'm convinced that this must be attributed to the bud-washing procedure. I'm sold! Here's the talley so far: plant #1 - 115g (plus 13g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] plant #2 - 108g (plus 18g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] plant #3 - 119g (plus 15g larf) - C4ndycaine [Candy Cane x C4] plant #4 -  92g (plus 6g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] - the smallest plant in the main area plant #5 - 112g (plus 22g larf) - Candesia [Candy Cane x Amnesia] plant #6 -  75g (no larf) - Candesia [Candy Cane x Amnesia] - grown in upper area under 200w ...afternoon: I flushed 6 of the last 7 plants for the first time today and harvested 4 more of them. I washed them and hung them to dry.....my dripping wet bathing beauties!😍

Esta semana tuve dudas con el riego, como en casi toda la etapa de la planta, pero al fin, la veo super bien. Le doy 1 Litro de agua cada 3 dias, y parece que le encanta! Las ramas principales miden entre 70-80 cm, la mas grande llego a los 90 cm ! Ya no hay lugar para que siga creciendo mas alto, ya que no puedo subir mas la luz. Excepto ese asunto, todo va de 10 puntos! Ya estoy saboreando mis primeras cookies. Paz!

Day 21 flowering: Hi all , hopebm we are all in the green and feeling serene ?. This week has been a good week for both of these ladies. Mimosa Lemon is a genetic monster !!!. I stripped quite a lot of lower scrappy looking growth and so much leaf matter with it, I expected a smaller lady to emerge.... Instead shebhas responded so amazingly well. Her cola lengths coupled with the fast filling node gaps, show how big she intends to finish. She has so much growth to her frame that she fills the space for 2 plants already and the stretch has only just stopped. !!. A real monster in the making I think. It has been a breeze to work with so far and tookntonall the punishing training I have thrown her way. Glueberry has done so well to survive my serious oversight of not watering her enough. Even now she drinks so much that her pot dries again the next day. Wirhbsigns of being held back in size , she has tried to make up in bud number. I did a major strip out of all the inner growth and small budlets forming so she can focus her energy on rebuilding her many limbs to full vigour. Both plants doing good at this stage with no deficiencies showing so far lets see how much they fill out next update. be well Growmies.

Our Black Runtz by Zamnesia has reached 16 buds. I'm growing them a little more to make sure they don't go into flowering with small brunches but we're almost there, a few days and they'll go into flowering. She's a plant with a low internodal distance, they're not the most suitable for topping due to the slow response of the mini brunches but you just need to let them grow a little and not go into flowering straight away to get an excellent result anyway. As a general rule but very general plants with a low internodal distance are less suitable for the application of the techniques unlike plants with a wide internodal distance which are very easy to handle, they grow more slowly and can reach excellent dimensions even if worked with techniques that keep them low. The Topping worked very very well the plant at the moment of topping went slightly into overfertilization due to the evident slowdown in growth, so I slowed down the fertilizer for growth but without making her go into crisis we are starting to give fertilizer again. When topping is a delicate moment it is probably better to do what I explain below with this plant I managed to keep myself more balanced the others for a week were in quite evident over. The ideal when topping repeatedly is probably to start with a soil fertilized with gradual release or in fact start preparing the soil for a period that is at least enough for the vegetative phase at most by adding a bit of alga grow which alone I must admit gives me some problems at least in this case if the plant grows straight much less indeed nothing. With this grow coming to an end I'm very satisfied, I've just cut the last girl down and they are hanging to dry now. The girls showed good vigor through out the whole grow feeling pretty comfortable in the organic soil mix I've made at the start. Later in flower I started giving the whole Plagron line from time to time to give them that little bit extra power throughout their flower cycle. I've took the two most different (looking) phenos I got and try to make some nice pictures, but in week 15 you can find the photo session I did with the nicest pheno in my eyes.

Veg week two. Everything seems to be ok at this point.

Alaskan still growing don't see much of a stretch Speed plus 1 started to pre flower and stretched a good amount. 3 main sites Speed plus 2 flowering started to show. Had 5 shorted sites that has not flowered or pre flowered Came to terms with I might harvest total 10-15g for all 3 plants. Trial and error taking it as a learning experience
