Week 5: This week was all about battling bugs, adjusting fans endlessly, making bug traps, blood and sweat, and of course the dreaded humidity. I found a few mosquitos and Aphids munching on my girl. Unfortunately mosquitos are a “resident” of the area I live too so had to set a few bug traps. Also ordered some cool equipment and organic insecticide to get her feeling right as rain again, really looking forward to our next week. Topped her and have already starting doing some LST to spread the branches and get more light onto new growth, from which is doing very well. Scary experience as I was afraid of hurting her, tore a leaf here or there but no harm done. Once again the great genetics from Humboldt seed organization and Quality Just Cannabis soil kept her stable and she pulled through! Sipping more water this week a little more than 5L water. Still battling humidity with the fluctuating weather but that should be sorted in the next few days... until next week ✌️

The first picture is from last week and the videos are from today. It's been 56 days in veg so far. I was going to switch to flowering next week but decided to hold off and let it spend more time in recovery. To keep the branches down I used a wire clothes hanger and paper clips.

Hey! At last the day of the harvest arrived. Before that, I stopped watering the plant 4 days ago, and turned off the lights 2 days ago. As for questionable techniques, I adhere to the principle - if it doesn’t get worse, why not try?😄 So, I put the harvested crop in a dark ventilated box, for about 10 days, I will observe. p.s. I invite everyone to the next update of the diary - I will sum up, remember the interesting moments of the cycle, and of course I will try the finished product, see you! 😍 Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

The pistols are turning a brown colour this is the end of week 2 going into week 3. Does anyone know if this is normal with LED lighting? I have put a close up on the video.

Still trucking along. I had my lights turned up a bit high, I've turned them down a few days ago and all the plants seemed to enjoy it.

Apolo F1 Mission Diary - Week 3: The Ballet of Bend, Blossom, and Root Rhapsody Greetings, fellow cultivators and guardians of the green frontier! Week 3 of our Apolo F1's botanical saga has unfurled with a kaleidoscope of growth and a symphony of roots that dance beneath the surface. Join me as we explore the verdant ballet of bending, the flourishing foliage, and the hidden root rhapsody. This week has been a crescendo of controlled chaos, with the delicate art of bending taking center stage. Each branch gracefully sways and contorts, responding to the gentle nudges like a botanical ballerina in an intricate dance. Our Apolo F1 is not just growing; she's performing a choreography of resilience and elegance. And here's the thrilling revelation - roots! Yes, beneath the soil surface, a clandestine world is unfurling. Root tendrils are popping up like eager spectators in the front row, reaching out to absorb the nutrients and anchor our green virtuoso. It's a root rhapsody, a silent applause to the nutrient-rich symphony we've orchestrated. As I continue to guide the botanical ballet, the TDS in the watering regimen maintains a harmonious 390 ppm, providing our plant with a nutrient-rich libretto. The pH, the conductor of this aqueous symphony, remains a steady 6.0, ensuring optimal nutrient absorption and a thriving performance. Temperature-wise, our Apolo F1 revels in the cozy embrace of a 26-degree Celsius environment. It's like providing the ideal backstage conditions for our botanical star, ensuring she performs at her peak. Now, let's talk about the behind-the-scenes technique – the bottom feeding spectacle. Water is tossed into the plate, and our green companion sips from this botanical wellspring. It's a refined and controlled drinking session, a sophisticated soirée for our growing virtuoso. And as always, a tip of the hat to Aptus Holland, the maestros of our nutrient symphony. Their meticulous regimen ensures our Apolo F1 gets the VIP treatment from the roots to the tips of her flourishing foliage. As we marvel at the ongoing dance of growth and the flourishing of our green virtuoso, I extend my gratitude to the digital coliseum, Grow Diaries, for being the stage where our horticultural epic unfolds. And to Royal Queen Seeds, whose Apolo F1 has become the star of this green opera. In the next enthralling chapter of our Apolo F1 Mission Diary, we'll witness the continued ballet of growth and the root rhapsody beneath the surface. Until then, may your gardens flourish and your green endeavors be ever bountiful! As always thank you all for stopping by and for supporting me on this journey, i am super passion about growing and fell blessed to have you all with me on this new journey

7 Feb: Watered with a tiny bit of pH-Down, also 0.5ml Acti-Vera + 0.5ml Bio-Heaven. I plan to feed her 2L of this mixture (total of 1+1ml nutrients) for the remainder of this week. I will feed more if I have given all feed and the soil is still dry, otherwise no. I just now calculated that it would mean around 285ml of water per day for 7 days in a row, I think that is a bit too much. 8 Feb: I asked a grow question regarding if I should trim (defoliate) my flower. Thanks to everyone who took time to answer! In conclusion I will not defoliate my flower. 9 Feb: Watered 10 Feb: Today I started using nutrients and I deliberately decided to use the minimum amount possible. I will then see how my plant reacts and either continue with nutrients and slowly increase to "correct" dosages, or switch back to plain water for a little while longer. Also, if you look at the text above after "7 Feb", you see that I used nutrients there as well. However I used tiny, tiny dosages and I also shared the water with my other plant: https://growdiaries.woodroom.tel/diaries/133066-grow-journal-by-depplover49. The feed ran out in just 3-4 days and the plants seem to like it so that's why I had to refill my watering can today. 11 Feb (Day 29): Today was my best performance yet when it comes to mixing nutrients. I measured the pH-levels of the water, added one nutrient, checked the pH-levels again, then repeated until I was done. I also used two different meters since I believe they're both not really a 100% working. I am thinking about investing in a better one, these two were like $15 each and I heard that they can break after a while. Anyways, I checked the soil using both meters and the green one show 6.9 and the red one 6.9-7.0. I'm quite sure it's at 6.9 and my feeding mixture is about 6.5. I am hoping to be able to report a lowered pH-level in a few days (if that's how it works hehe). 12 Feb (Day 30): She is getting wider and bigger, her leaves are erect, she responds very well to nutrients and pH is 6.8-6.9. The green pH-meter is saying 6.8! 13 Feb: Damn she grew 7cm last night, a bit more than 2 inches.

We only pulled about 20 grams off this one, we had to cut her down with only 7 weeks of flower, she didn't look too far from done but we needed to clear everything out and it was easier to start them drying than to transport around town.. sorry for the anticlimactic ending if you were following this grow, the stuff dried thus far is decent, about a 6 for buzz but an easy 10 for smell/taste :) ..happy growing friends

So the symptoms in plant 1 have slowed down significantly, and she's gone back to swelling those buds! So I'm optimistic there! Plant 2, as many white pistils as she has (probably 40 or so % darkened, hard to see in pics) her trichomes say its time! For this plant anyway, i want this one to be mostly white, next one maybe 30% amber! As it sits, she's about 85 milky and the rest amber with a few clear stragglers. Not gonna fret because I have tried her, and she's good! A small branch off of 2 broke when moving 1 to flush her, so I trimmed it and set it on my pc to quick dry lol. 4.4 grams went on, 1.2 came off, and I rolled a fatty. It tasted good, which was fascinating to me, didn't taste like hay at all! And the high was phenomenal. So I'm gonna chop her up tonight! Plant 1 has a few weeks yet, I'm hoping they go smoother than the last couple lol. Until next time, happy growing farm-fam!
