This week She grew 13cm. Flowering stretch slowing down. Her flower sites look absolutely lovely!!! No sign of any purple as of yet though 😭

Alright! 100% germination rate across the board on these beans! Every seed we sowed is now up and at em. That's already a good sign for new genetics. Well they're new to me anyway, who knows how long they've been overseas doing their thing. These could be some diamonds in the ruff, ya never know!!! Same here though as with the auto flowers we're going to see which strain performs best and then enter her into the competition....or if they're both hitting, we'll enter them both and see if we can take home a win! So for the photoperiod plants we're doing the Athena blended line in Promix soil. It's my first time using this line but they sent me it to try out so I'm going to see what's up. The auto flowers are going to be mainly organic and maybe a little mix of synthetic in bloom, if needed. That's the plan for some beautiful flowers. Let's Grow!!

Well week 5....this will be her first week in flower. She has been topped (about a week ago) and I will soon start some LST. I don't get to carried away with training. I know some people do a lot...A lot more than I thought was possible. I just do enough to try and keep all the big colas at about the same height. I started to top my plants about 1 year after I started to grow. I liked it right away. Everything gets a bit more light some parts get a lot more light. If you mix in some light LST you get a much cleaner/organized looking plant....if that makes sense.

Really hot. Using more water. About 2 gallons a day each pot. Watering daily. Summer peak hits in the next month, then comes the wind down to the season...from September to Croptober. I don't see as much stretching as I see buds coming in right now, which is really exciting. Wind: I usually experience strong winds for the end of August and start of September. This means that I am taking the canopy down and letting the sun hit the plants with all its force for the remainder of the season. More water means fatter nugs. Nutrients: Day 105 - 21 August 2024 - Added 1 cup Bud Candy and 1/2 cup Overdrive from AN, then added 2 gallons of water in a large watering can. I let that sit for 2-3 hours, then I add it equally to the four pots. I'm alternating this and kelp meal biweekly from Down to Earth (every 2 weeks). This recipe is gentle and it works for me. Thank you to all following the grow. Straight up... each plant looks a little different - my guess it's because of all the crosses behind the genetics. Basically looks a little Malawi, a little tropicanny, a little cookie, and sour orangey for sure. I don't care for a stable line where all the plants look homogenous (basically the same, I may have messed up the description) - I just want something that will have a good end product and these plants all look fine to me. Now I just have to be vigilant so that the caterpillars don't destroy all the flowers. It's a bit nerve wrecking, but I'm committed to not using pesticides or insecticides - organic or not. I'm also considering washing the herb at harvest--that's got me a little nervous also because it gets really humid around harvest time, but all the testimonials and videos I've researched all seem to agree that it does not affect the end quality in terms of effect since THC is basically water resistant, not water soluble or something--i'm thinking water hash in my head to comprehend the science a little better. That's it. Just a few more weeks to go. About 8.

I'm going away for 30 days about a week into this grow. I'm going to automate weeks 1 through 5 by using the Blumat watering system along with the automated fan from AC Infinity. Hopefully, these will keep things going while I'm gone. I've never used the Blumat products before and I'm excited to see their potential. If I succeed, I'll return to happy 5-week old plants. If not, I'll have to start a new grow...which is what I was going to do anyway. I have nothing to lose but a couple of seeds. Let's get this automated grow started. Day 1 - I placed the seeds directly in a fist-sized clump of Coast of Maine Seed Starter soil that was then placed in a 3-gallon pot full of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. This will ensure the seedling doesn't get exposed to the nutrient-rich soil too soon. I set the light 2 feet above the top of the pots so they have room to grow into the 18" to 12" range. I also set the light strength to 60% during germination. The temperature in the tent remained 75 degrees and humidity was 70%. I also covered the soil over the germinating seeds with mason jars to act as humidity domes. Day 4 - Both pots sprouted this morning. I immediately removed the mason jar humidity domes. I also increased the light to 70% strength and installed the Blumat watering system to help me keep things growing while I'm gone.

Ummm... get Advanced Nutrients. The amazing difference is differently amazing. I can't say anything bad about GHE, it's just insanely better than over here on the Advanced Nutrient side of things. Noticeable differences in 3 days. If you have any questions, send me a message. I've done a ton of research on Advanced Nutrients and can basically tell you "what's what" in comparison to GHE and save you a couple bucks. Knowledge is power, friends! I'm still using my GHE Diamond Nectar in-place of Advanced Nutrients Rhino Skin until the bottle is gone. It's all humic acid, no big deal. I'll change to AN when I'm done. My buds are purple. Never in a million years would I have guessed I got purple genetics on my first grow. We'll see if they stay around! Defoliation: Only larger fan leaves to open canopy. Day 46 - 8/12: We had a huge storm that did not knock our power out, luckily. All of the girls are thriving and tomorrow I receive the remaining nutrients. They are going fucking bananas. Temps are 77s and humidity is 45-55. Perfect. Day 47 - 8/13: Holy fuck.

I'm still struggling with that temperature. unfortunately, the substrate once dried up for me.

12/7 Week five and in full flower. Runoff was way high 1400-1700 ppm this accounts for the tiny white tips on new growth. Increased amount to 0.5 gal once a day but may have o go back to twice a day. Still on half/grow half/bloom until the stretch plays out still trying to hit 700ppm of feed without runoff exceeding upper limits so feed alone is running 600ppm to counter the hard water. Once I have a handle on the runoff will up nuets. After some thought and a bit of reading I decided to do this as a root drench and fertilized flush to remove all salts from the pot. 0.5 gal 5.7PH CT Grow AB / Kangaroots /Fish Sh!t with @50% runoff - 950ppm (unadjusted 750ppm adjusted) in / and 1020ppm out. More Hydro-ton was added to the net-pots of plants that are ready. 11/19 Reservoir PHed at 5.8 for each plant. The temperatures are a little high from the wattage increase in the light so I raised the light more to reduce it. 11/20 Plants are looking healthy! Reservoirs PHed to 5.6 and water was added. Back right plant has genetic instability's but we're going to give her a chance for science. 11/21 PHed the water targeting 5.9. Started pulling the intake to reduce temperatures outside as the weather gets colder outside. 11/22 Added water the reservoir and PH adjusted to 5.8. Added the upper fans to the tent for increased air circulation. Overall this week was fantastic and I'm looking forward to the lapse going on from here! The plants are healthy despite one plant showing genetic issues the rest are looking great so far. The growth this week was explosive and I suspect this next week is going to be just as so. 3rd week everything looks great with new pots with 15 litre volume. We added much of mykorizza when transplanted.

Week 1 seedlings just starting. 4/6 cotys sprouted. First leaves coming through. Added a fan to grow strong stems.

This way i can easily remove the pots out of the tent to weigh them. I also moved the oscilating fan from underneath the canopy to above the canopy. This is because the leaves gets hotter as i increase the light's power output. The Gorilla Kush #2 and the Chemdog #2 are showing some heat stress. Installed a valve on the autopot from the Kush #2. This is because its weight is higher then the other pots. Before i watered them i weigh the pots. Dry weight: Gorilla Kush #1: 4.4 kg Gorilla Kush #2: 6.0 kg Added 10L to the reservoir.
