Week 3 and starting to train these lovely ladies

Deceded to cut! Perhaps a little prematurely but I was seeing cloudy and some amber so decided to pull the trigger. First grow and all so hopefully only up from here! Not much to note apart from the buds fattening up and further fading in the leaves as expected. I dropped the temp a bit and they spent their final 48 hours in darkness. Literally just going off what I have read and I will have nothing to compare this to as this is my first grow! Very happy with what i see and I am now hanging the plants whole. I am expecting some nice clean smoke as these were flushed for their final 3 weeks. Hoping for a 7-10 day dry and then into jars for curing after trimming over screens Will update harvest for all 3 plants once this stage is complete with dry weights. Thanks to all that have commented and I will be planting 4 mephisto seeds from a mystery pack once the tent is free.

day 0 - gave this seed a dark place in my room to germinate and also used a little Ph down to get from 7,5 down to 6. 230PPM after about 17 hours of soaking in the glass i gave the seed into a jiffy. day 1 - because i had still 2 more of those seeds i think its better to just use them now and germinate them all together and then choose the strongest for myself. thats why we are at day 1. i just need one of them to germinate right now and the seeds are already 3 years old. i think one or maybe even 2 might not germinate because i just stored them in room temperature. we will see! day 5 - the seed wich has beed touching water 22 hours early has now shown his first sings of life above the soil, so i am trusting into the other 2 that they might also still follow so i can share a plant :) day 6 - she has a sister! she has grown 2cm+ and the seed has been stuck in the jiffy so everything perfect for the first one. day 7 - the seedling on the right is now also not growing only inside the soil anymore. the third seed was sadly a fail but i am happy with 2/3 after wrong storage.

FBT2403 has sprouted, and is doing well. She is getting acclimated, and should start making progress soon. I think my tds is way too high. I will likely dilute it out some. It is way higher then I expected. Everything is looking good beside that. Thank you Fast Buds. d68 Llevamos todo el mes de abril con lluvias y las plantas no reciben las horas de sol que quieren, por desgracia, la planta de LST ha sacado unos pistilos y para que no continúe con la floración le tendré que hacer una poda apical. El resto de plantas parece estar bien respecto a esto, pero voy a estar observando a Mimosa Evo, puede que le pase lo mismo que a la LSD. d69 Le he hecho la poda apical por la mañana a la LSD. He regado con 8L de agua a estas 4 plantas y 2 más, he utilizado la mezcla de arriba. d71 Parece que crecen bien, todavía estoy dudoso porque LSD parrce que quiere sacar flores, la dejare una semana a ver como progresa, Meganuska necesita agua, esta muy liviana la maceta será la única que se riege hasta la proxima semana. Everything went well, the humidity was a little high because it was in an unsuitable space, but the plant is very strong and evolved well even after defoliation.

Bit of a learning curve with the RDWC, although I had everything worked out towards the end of the grow, looking forward to the next one.

Placing a dehumidifier or humidifier in the grow box turned out to be ineffective when both devices have their own automated settings. For instance, a humidifier set to 55% humidity works within a ±5% range, meaning it waits until the humidity drops below 50% to turn on and runs until it hits 60%. Since its sensor refreshes every 30 seconds, it might show 54% one moment and jump to 61% the next—not exactly stable at 55%. The dehumidifier behaves similarly. To achieve more consistent results, it’s better to rely on a hygrometer inside the grow box and use “dumb” devices that simply turn on when powered. Connecting these devices to smart outlets provides more precise control. For manual control, I maintained around 55% humidity by turning the humidifier and exhaust fan on and off via phone. Most moisture and aroma are released during the first three days, then taper off. The common rule of “when thin branches snap, it’s dry” led me to overdry my buds. A more reliable method is to monitor the hygrometer. When humidity stabilizes after the initial rise, wait one more day and then jar the buds. Rehydrating Overdried Buds: Overdried buds can be revived with a small piece of mandarin (or orange) peel, about 2.5x2.5 cm. Thoroughly wash the peel (even sanitize it if needed), cut a square, and place it on top of the buds in the jar. In my experience, this brought the humidity from 46% to 62% within 4 hours. Afterward, burp the jars for 15 minutes and monitor the hygrometer. If the humidity drops below 55%, return the peel for a few more hours. Once stable at 60-62%, remove the peel and continue curing, burping the jars twice daily for 15 minutes. As for humidity packs like Integra Boost or Boveda, I used them because I had some lying around. These packs are designed for 12 grams of product, so they don’t make a big difference in larger jars. If you burp jars daily and gently rotate the buds, they’re not really necessary. Trimming and Results: After 7 days of drying, I decided to trim dry this time. It turned out to be somewhat more convenient—everything gets covered in resin anyway, but the remaining leaves easily fall off, speeding up the process. I went for a tight trim, removing as much as possible. During the process, I felt disappointed seeing how little remained on the branches. The buds turned out airy and small, and I started cursing American genetics halfway through the trim. However, when it came to weighing, the results were surprisingly decent. Considering the buds' poor appearance, they’re not going to impress anyone visually, so it might have been easier to shred everything and use it for extraction. I don’t have extraction equipment, so I’ll make cannabutter from the trim, and the buds can rest in jars for now. Takeaways: Use a proper hygrometer for humidity control, not built-in sensors on humidifiers or dehumidifiers. Overdried buds can be easily rehydrated with citrus peel. Daily burping and rotation are sufficient for curing without humidity packs. Dry trimming can be faster and more convenient but may highlight issues with bud density. Despite underwhelming appearance, high resin content makes the strain great for extraction.

Esta semana se incorpora una barra de 1m de osram con Deep Blue, Far red e hiper red como complemento de rojos y azules. 23/05/2021 (Day 68) Hoy se colocó la segunda malla scrog y podemos observar que las plantas van desde 90cm de altura al suelo en su expresión mas indica y 110cm de distancia al suelo en la expresión mas sativa.

“The Thrown” which is my tallest plant gave me some issues this week due to the fact that I had to suppress the plant because of the height. Broke a few branches that I had to tape up which is not a problem. I break branches on the regular around here purposely for growth 😈. Heavy rain this week, so I had to watch out for humidity issues, which I took care of. On top of that my basement flooded, had to break out the water pump. This transition week i’m glad I was able to have more time at home to monitor my plants. Week 17 Day 113 (04/12/2020)💧: Nice start to the week with a watering. Just as last week, I will be giving them the increased nutrients until the flush. So today I gave them 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. Day 114 (05/12/2020): The trichomes were looking beautiful today! (really hard to take close of pictures of them though). You can see in the pictures that some are getting more amber now which is a great sign that the girls are almost ready 🌸 Day 115 (06/12/2020): Took a quick pic of the tent but didn’t have much time to check the girls properly. I’m sure they are great as always 👌 Day 116 (07/12/2020)💧: I watered the girls today with the same nutrients: 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. The buds on this girl are looking super dense and even the ones at the bottom are getting bigger! I hope that this 6ml of TopMax will fatten them up even more in the next few weeks before harvest 😄 Day 117 (08/12/2020): Didn’t have time to take pictures today actually Day 118 (09/12/2020): I’ve gotta say that their smell is definitely evolving in a more “mature” direction and they are starting to smell less like citrus and a bit more earthy and spicy. Really incredible! Day 119 (10/12/2020)💧: Watered the girls today with the same nutrients as last time giving them 1.5ml of BioGrow, 6ml of BioBloom, and 6ml of TopMax. They are both doing well but again some of the leaves and stems at the bottom were definitely a bit sad and wilting. But nevertheless, I took some videos and close-up pictures and they look incredible. Their red tint is definitely developing more and more, which is especially noticeable when I take close ups. Also looking from their trichomes, there are some amber ones already so I am thinking to even start the 2 weeks flush from next watering onwards and prepare for harvest! Will assess the trichomes in a few days and decide.

This was a brilliant week for plant growth, with some side branches over doubling their height. I added the ScrOG net at the beginning of the week and began some more intensive training. The broken mainled blue has fully recovered from last week's damage, and is quickly catching up the my other mainled experiment. The LST only plants I pretty much just continued to bend. The topped & LST'd plants I removed some of the lower bud sites that were not getting any light. I also removed a few awkward fan leaves that could not be tucked away. The addition of the net has helped with this though, as keeping the canopy even is much easier with the support it gives. I also decided not to try any further cuts on the (half) mainlined auto's. My reasoning is that they have developed strong, independent colas already, so cutting for more would not see much gain. The plants had also begun to flower on the night I went to perform the second cut, and my growing experience tells me not to mess with flowering plants too much so here we are. I gave the plants one regular watering of 10L pH'd water, and a 20L nutrient mix using the ratios stated above. All volumes were split equally between the plants. The scrawny looking blue critical has perked up a heck of a lot, but is still the weakest of the 3. The strongest plants by far are the ones that have been topped and LST'd, closely followed by the mainlined ones. LST only is definitely great, but it is clearly lagging behind the other two techniques.

A-Day 53 (into week 8) B&C-Day 49 (end of week 7) A - She is stacking well, and feeling greasy! The smell is coming on stronger everyday, frost is just starting to build up. There is a distinct transition as the leaves go through veg to early flower to late flower. Uniform all around, not very tall, but she is hardy and thiccc! B- Full flower now, so many tops! She has shown to be a slower flower developer than A, but the flowers she are developing are almost completely uniform all across the 🌱! I assume because there are so many they will be a little slower. I put her ties back on, and the middle shoots exploded with new stretch and growth, so she is still in that stretch/flower stage. C- what can I say, patience is a virtue. She is looking lush and vigorous. With this being a slightly longer to finish auto strain, she has had time to recover from a) being a runt, B) having slow growth, c) having almost no training and lighter nutrient feeds her whole existence. This is also my control for Topping, she was not, A and B were. This strain is clearly hardy and able to withstand multiple techniques, we’ll see what the end the result is compared to her sisters. All three plants received a full nutrient feed x2 this week. That was: 3 gallons dechlorinated water mixed with 12 ml Micro, 12 ml Bud, 20 ml Grow, and 6 ml Sensi Extra CalMag, PH’d to 6.2. And another very low feeding of 1/3 that mixture mixed into 3 gallons of water. Ive heard many growers who instead of just watering, they will do a much lower strength of nutrients included in their watering, and ultimately never not feed their plants nutrients until flush. Thoughts?
