13.06. Wedding Cake 1# Day 49# The plant is at the end of the seventh week, it is making excellent progress. I don't want to spoil it and speak in advance, but I think she will be a monster, but just let her be healthy! Wedding Cake 2# Day 43# Unlike the first one, this one has only entered the seventh week, it is in 3 times smaller pot and the soil is not even close to the quality like in the first one, so I am satisfied with the progress of the second one as well! 5 nights ago there was a strong storm, the morning after the storm when I came to the site, I found some plants crooked, some normal, but there were no broken ones, thank God, but they were very stressed and what you can see in the pictures appeared on the leaves, some leaves were crispy at the edges, but still green, mostly shoots before the newest ones. I haven't had this problem before, I researched a bit on the internet and came to the conclusion that the wind burned them, and I also turned to GW for an opinion, two characters confirmed my opinion. Two days later I noticed that the matter was getting worse and that it was spreading, which worried me, so I contacted GW again for an opinion. Some told me that it was mold, some that it was an infection, disease and so on, mostly guesswork, but no one specifically told me what was certain, so I decided on nim oil, and whatever it is, I guess the problem should be solved. According to some leaves, I would say that insects might be the problem, but I really don't know, I haven't had similar problems before. I regulate the ph of the plants, I still don't feed them, there is food in the ground for another week, except for the fact that I added cal-mag after that storm when I watered them. I want to say that the plants are certainly not locked, and the heat is not yet so high that this would happen from the same, the more the temperatures have dropped and now it is perfect. Since transplanting, I have watered the plants only 2 times. Yesterday morning they were topped for the second time, only the main branches, I will do the next topping of the side branches. Last night I sprayed the plants with neem oil and already today the problem seems to be going away, if I tripped at least it doesn't spread further, that's for sure. I didn't mix the oil very well, I didn't add any soap or anything like that because I wouldn't really spray the plants with any chemicals, and on some of the leaves on one or two plants there is that thick, brownish liquid, so I hope it won't hurt them, I noticed that today during the day, I couldn't see it at night. I still don't know what the problem is, but my guess is still that the wind burned them or some insects. Speaking of insects, I think I noticed thrips on one plant on the underside of the leaf, so in addition to the neem oil I already gave, I also ordered SMC, so I will spray that at least once a week while they are still young. 10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. Week 19 - Flowering week 9 Perfect time for harvest CaliFunk. One of the only plant not really affected by pests : the flowering was good and the final product look great despite of the little yield.

The calmag issue went on, so I kept adding a bit more every time. All the new growth is looking strong. This week was also time for their first LST. First at the start of the week and then again at the end of this week. They seem to do well.

Fighting the crazy humidity 😵‍💫 It's really humid but the Candy didn't had mold yet but others did sadly enough. I'm running two dehumidifiers in a small room at the same time it still wasn't enough. So yeah little disappointed but it is what it isssss let's continue. I still have a lot beautiful ladies going on I think so let's just focus on the positives:)

Week 2 went smooth... Started to see 5-finger leaves showing so I lowered the lights and turned them almost all the way up. Installed a Co2 Dispersal Canister that should finish out veg. Wish I knew the ppm for the Co2 but I don't. Finna start LST this upcoming week

Week 3 started off well. Gave my plants nutrients for the first time. Lowered the water dose compared to last week and noticed more growth so sticking to less is more until the flower stage. The temperature has been consistent. This week also allowed me to top my plants. And I have seen the new stems coming out the plant. I’ve added a co2 bag hoping to see some difference. I did add a second fan in to just keep the leaves wafting but it reduced the temp so I took it out

3 GAL RO Starting PMM 111 CAL MAG, 10ML SILICA BLAST, 15ML PURE Blend Pro Grow 40ml No issues. Ppm meter shitted, maybe that's why ppm is sick and off the charts.

Final week of nutrients, since friday 5 only water and sunday will be the last day, from then water deprivation until I can see some amber trichomes.. At the moment she’s really frosty, one of the most resinous plant ever grow! Smells like fresh citrus and diesel ;D

FBA2502 Plants 1-6 Week 7 May 11– 17 FLOWER 3 Nutrients : Micro 25 ml Gro 10 ml Bloom 30ml CalMag 30 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 16.5ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/11 PH 6.56, PPM 1560, temp 69 2ltr each 5/12 PH 6.31, PPM 1120, temp 68 1 ltr each 5/14 PH 6.66, PPM 1280, temp 70 1 ltr each 5/15 PH 6.66, PPM 850, temp 72 1 ltr each 5/11 Defoliation, feed, pics & videos I made 4 gallons, used 3 to water then poured the runoff back into the rest in the bucket. The next feeding, I added a gallon of tap water to residual and ph to 6,31 temp 69 & PPm 1120. Did the same on 5/14 and 15 using up the remainder of the feed solution. I must monitor and control the tent environment manually. For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. I have been giving good reviews on the AC infinity system. However, during the time I’ve owned this tent (2 yrs), I had to replace the lights twice, fans, humidifier and now the vent twice also. Everything but the tent containment has been replaced. AC infinity does stand by their products, but they are in California, and it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the replacement. This is extremely frustrating at the critical transition to flower for my equipment to fail again. For the time being until a replacement arrives, I pulled the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3 and hooked it up. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This should create a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. I do have 3 circulating fans in the tent to move air around the plants. It looks like growth spurts have slowed and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All of them (6) are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. The tallest #4 &5 and #6 have very light leaves and appear nutrient deficient compared to the shorter phenotypes. Pictures taken later in the week show fading on a few the older leaves. All are receiving the same solution and are in the same soil blend. Moving the gals in and out of the tent for their glamor shots, I bent one limb and snapped another. The bent one I taped with a splint and the snapped one I medicated manuka honey and wired it back to the main stalk. Leaves look like sativa leaning. I hope FBA2502-2 is a good daytime. I’m getting excited to see what develops in the next month or so. News Break: I’ve been informed that 2502 is FastBuds New Frostbanger and is indica for nighttime. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a sativa to test because I really need a daytime strain. The 2 Blue Cheese plants I just grew are also nighttime. Upon opening the tent, a faint odor was detected, and some stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Pictures of the puffy buds even show differences. #4 &5 buds hairs are different from the others being crinklier and the others are straighter. Some like #2 &5 are showing frost on the leaves. Wow at the beginning of flower to have that much frost. They are living up to the new strain’s name. I’ve noticed that when I water, sometimes water shoots out of the side holes I the air pots.
