Love the strain. There was heat stress, and for such much light 2x2 tent would be better. After curing: Tasty as hell grape "cold" flavour, body tranqulizing high, after few hits from the bong its a good idea to chill and watch a movie. Absolutley love the smoke in the end, from bag appeal to high :)0

All 3 plants grew different with one having Dense nugs, another with smaller airy nugs and the last tall with airy nugs, the high is great can be light can be heavy, give good head high with some mild body effect, I swear my books come to life when I'm smoking this stuff.

🌱 First week of my cannabis growing adventure with autoflowers! 🌟 As a newbie, I'm diving into the art of low stress training early on because autos have a shorter grow period and I'm curious to see how far I can push the limits. Just experimenting and gathering valuable experience in this rapid growing phase! 📚 ✨ Planted in light mix soil with added worm castings in fabric and plastic pots to compare outcomes. Exciting times ahead! 🚀

Started flush now. I'm adding Nature Delight Active Sugar Boost as it's been recommended to boost terpene production. No idea if it will work this late into flower but trying anyway as apparently it has no need to be flushed and is fully organic.

We immediately trim on-site and place the buds into vacuum bags for clothes for transportation. These bags with a pump are very convenient; it's best to use several bags: for example, fill a regular thick black bag with stuff, and then put this black bag into a vacuum bag to avoid punctures from branches. For working with the buds, we got "snippers" — as it turns out, these are very convenient scissors for our task. It's a real pleasure to work with them. The density of the buds is generally good, considering that this is wild outdoor cultivation in a fairly humid climate. P.S. After 4 hours of trimming, we were exhausted and just ended up removing the fan leaves and non-sugary leaves.

Hello, green warriors and cannabis enthusiasts! 🌱🔥 We’re now in the 4th week of flowering in our epic Runtz Battle, and things are getting intense! This week was a major milestone as we performed a deep, mass defoliation to set the stage for the final push toward harvest. Let’s dive into the details and explore the impact of this crucial step. Week 4 Flowering Progress 🌿🌟 Our Runtz plants are thriving as they enter the second half of the flowering phase. Here’s what’s been happening: • Bud Development 🌸: • The buds are swelling beautifully, with trichome production ramping up across all plants. The flowers are becoming increasingly dense and aromatic, promising a rich and flavorful harvest. The F1 strain continues to stand out with its compact, resin-packed buds that are now truly taking shape. • Environmental Consistency 🌡️: • We’ve kept the environment stable with a room temperature of 30.3°C, water temperature at 18°C, and humidity at 51%. These conditions are ideal for promoting healthy flowering and preventing any issues as the buds continue to bulk up. The Power of Defoliation 🌿✂️ This week, we carried out a deep, mass defoliation—an essential practice for optimizing bud production. Let’s break down what defoliation is and why it’s so important at this stage: • What is Defoliation? 🌱✂️: • Defoliation involves selectively removing a significant amount of fan leaves from the plants. This process is particularly beneficial during the flowering stage as it allows better light penetration and air circulation to the lower bud sites. • Why Defoliation Matters 🌟: • Light Penetration: By removing excess foliage, we’re ensuring that light can reach deeper into the canopy. This light exposure helps to stimulate growth in the lower buds, leading to a more uniform and higher-quality yield across the entire plant. • Air Circulation: Better airflow reduces the risk of mold and mildew, especially as the buds become denser and more susceptible to moisture-related issues. • Energy Focus: Removing large fan leaves redirects the plant’s energy from maintaining foliage to developing the buds. This means the plants can put more effort into producing larger, more resinous flowers. • How the Runtz Plants Responded 🌸: • The Runtz strains handled the defoliation like champions! They’ve already begun responding positively, with the remaining leaves and buds soaking up the extra light and air. We’re expecting to see even more vigorous bud development in the coming weeks as a result of this defoliation. Nutrient and Care Strategy 🌱💧 Our nutrient and care approach continues to support the plants as they push through this critical flowering stage: • Watering and Nutrients 💧: • With the Autopots still running smoothly, we’re maintaining the Regulator and CaMg Boost in the reservoir. The rich soil, bolstered by organic inputs, is providing all the necessary nutrients to sustain healthy growth and flower production. • The defoliation has also allowed us to closely inspect the plants, ensuring they’re free from pests and diseases and making any necessary adjustments to the care routine. • Lighting and Environmental Control 🌡️: • The Lumatek Zeus 465 Compact Pro continues to deliver powerful, even light, now reaching even more of the plants thanks to the defoliation. • The TrolMaster Hydro-X controller is keeping everything dialed in, maintaining the perfect environment for the Runtz strains to thrive. The Zamnesia Gear Shines 🌟📸 We captured some amazing photos this week, showcasing the defoliation process and our beautiful Runtz plants. Shoutout to the incredible gear from Zamnesia that makes this journey even more enjoyable. Their products not only perform exceptionally well but also look fantastic in action! 🌿📸 Looking Ahead 🌟🌿 As we move into the latter stages of flowering, we’re expecting some serious bud development. The defoliation has set the stage for the Runtz strains to focus all their energy on creating dense, resinous flowers. The next few weeks are going to be critical as we fine-tune the environment and prepare for the final push towards harvest. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this thrilling journey. Back with a new week, the beginning of week 6 and wow, the girls are really starting to show off their fall colours and frosty colourful buds. EC has been slightly lowered and I have dropped cal-mag to ensure a good flush later on in the grow. PK has been increased and the girls are fattening up. pH has been drifting so trying to keep a close eye on this to enable the correct uptake of essential nutrients at this critical stage. Follow the youtube and Instagram for a more in depth follow along. Links are on growdiaries profile page. Stay tuned for the next update

09 May 2021 Today starts the 15th week of my grow, and the 6th week of flower. Just over a month till the scheduled harvest, and today the nutrient amounts change according to my feeding chart. So today feeding went like this: CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, FloraBloom 15ml. Today we aren’t using any of the FloraGro, and won’t be for the rest of the grow. I chilled the water again, but not as long this time and the temperature of the solution was 56.3 degrees F. I thought it odd that the website doesn’t allow for entries lower than 50 degrees in that block, but oh well. The initial pH was 5.89, and I added pH UP 2.5ml which adjusted the pH to 6.53. The runoff pH was 5.63. Lower than I want, but still within range for a healthy plant. Temperature in the tent was 81 degrees F, and humidity was at 53%. The plant looks great, and is maturing quite nicely. 11 May 2021 Today was a busy day! My DarkStar Kush is doing very well! The smell is starting to get stronger and the buds are fattening up as well. I’ve noticed some mild nutrient burn on some of my leaf tips, but nothing terrible. I’ll keep an eye on it to make sure that they don’t get worse. I haven’t really made any adjustments to the nutrients lately with the exception of increasing the FloraBloom by 2.5ml’s, and stopped using the FloraGro in accordance with my feed chart. Feeding today went as follows: CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, and FloraBloom at 15ml. The initial pH was 5.85, so I added 3ml of pH UP to increase the pH to 6.52. The runoff pH was 5.65. I finally received my TDS meter today, so the TDS reading was 1070 ppm. My feed chart says that the ppm range in looking for is 1050-1400 ppm, so 1070 puts me in that range. I chilled the water again today, and it was 46 degrees F. The temperature in the grow tent was 81 degrees F, and humidity was 40%. So far so good, and I’m starting two new diaries today for some clones I was gifted by Buddabud, so check them out. 13 May 2021 Just when I thought I was on cruise control with my baby here, she throws me a slow curve. The question is; will I hit it, or miss it? The light nutrient burn that I noticed in my last entry on the 11th has gotten just a small tad worse, but nothing terrible. I believe it’s not from the feeding, but the build up of nutrients in the soil. I finally got my TDS monitor as I noted the other day, so I tested the ppm in the runoff and it was over 4000. Then, as I was shaking the excess water off the end, the end cap for the battery came off and the whole monitor plunged back into the water completely submerging for a moment before I could get a hand free to grab it. It’s been sitting in a bowl of rice since yesterday. I just hope it dries out and keeps working. I need to see what the TDS of the soil at this stage is supposed to be and then either keep going and damn the burn, or maybe feed with pH’ed plain water for a feeding or two and then see how it reacts. I’m still deciding, but will research first before making my decision. For today I kept to the feed chart. I gave the following: CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, and FloraBloom 15ml. The initial pH was 5.92, so I added 2.5ml of pH UP which raised the pH to 6.47. That is what I fed the plant. The TDS reading of the feed solution was 1036 ppm. Runoff pH was 5.63. Tent temperature was 79 degrees F, and humidity was 40%. I have just about 4 weeks left in this grow till the scheduled harvest. 15 May 2021 Today is the last day of the 6th week of flower, and I’m going to try and arrest my mild nutrient burn on my baby. I’ve decided to just give water and CALiMAGic today properly pH’ed to see if it does anything to improve the situation. I wanted to have a significant amount of runoff today so I fed 1.5 gallons of water with 7.5ml of CALiMAGic. The initial pH was 7.60, but adding the pH DOWN is much different than adding pH UP! I initially added just 0.5ml to the gallon of water which lowered the pH from 7.60 to 4.9. I was like, “DAMN!” 😳 so I had to pour it all out and start over again. I learned through research never to mix pH UP and DOWN in the same solution. If it’s wrong, you need to start over;!so I did. After 3 tries and lots of wasted CALiMAGic, I finally got it right by only adding 5 drops (gtts) of pH DOWN to get it to 6.64. The TDS meter dried out and still works, so the TDS going in was only 403ppm. Like I said, I wanted a lot of runoff to try and clear out some of the nutrient buildup in the soil. The runoff pH was 5.58, and runoff TDS was 3803 ppm. Daytime temp was high today at 86 degrees F, and humidity was 31%. She looks good. She smells good. I hope she stays good! A few weeks left till harvest!

Week 5 start, no signs of flowering yet, very strange. But i think it will start in next 2-3 days. Overall previous week was very good and productive, plant grew double or triple size. Let's see what this week brings. Day 30 - Its hard to see on a photos, but scrog is doing a great job and theres a lot of bud sites. Some are covered by big ass leaves, but i check it and fix as often as i can. Will get some better pictures and video tomorrow. Day 32 - Decided to give plamt a flush right before flowering, so it can start with some fresh roots. Plant is growing really well, will need some leaves cut. 4L with FloraKleen. Day 35 - Flowering is going full speed, will cut some leaves tomorrow, as they just block a lot of light. Almost no smell. 4L with nutrients. Peace.

Soaked the seed in water for 36 hours then popped into a Grodan cube that was pre-soaked for 12 hours in pH 5.8 water. First sprouted 24 hours later and has been growing fine in the propagator under some cheap LEDs until I get her into the net pot and tent soon.

I did a final round of stripping small branches and big fan leaves the other day, ending week 3 of flower. I've started ramping up koolbloom powder and Epsom salt. I've dialed back my fertigation events to 2 per day, I'm still getting runoff, but the plants don't seem to mind this change so far. These plants seem fast to flip, and I'm hoping to see some bud development kick off this week. The strain seems to be about a week ahead of strains I've grown in the past. There aren't any super terpy smells yet, but it's starting to smell like something. I'll be posting a midweek update in 3 days. 6/26 The plants are starting to put out some unique terpenes, Ethos' description is very accurate, fruit stripe gum and gasoline. It isn't super strong yet, but I can smell it when I manipulate some leafs. I'm done defoliating, and will let them go until harvest. Happy growing everyone!

Straight water this last week and she sure has changed colors. A pale pink/purple look everywhere. Entire 4x4 tent willed with one plant. Looking forward to seeing the final yields. Seeing a good amount of amber/cloudy Trichomes so it’s time to chop. So far the only downside to this strain is the massive amount of leaf production. It’s way too much to be honest.

So, absolutely against the recommendation I received from a friend of mine who's been growing for 20+ years, I pruned/defoliated my plants up a bit this week. I decided to for a few reasons. - the plants were really dense with foliage, many leaves overlapping and pushing other leaves - most of the bud sites were shaded under several layers of leaves - the leaves pilling up would have been restricting airflow quite a lot, I want to prevent budrot or mold by increasing aeration - I wanted to control where the plants were growing, and focus their energy into the buds - with this being an outdoor grow late in the season with less sun I felt it was more important to expose the developing buds to the sun With all that said, I think my plants have responded extremely well to the pruning in the last few days. I've never pruned or defoliated before so this is going to serve as a test for me. I like doing new things and seeing what happens. No matter what, these plants look really good right now and I'm sure I'll get a decent harvest, I'm trying to push it from decent to fantastic. My PPM is a bit high, though none of the plants look like they're being hindered by it. I did a partial water change on 2 of the 3 (the one in the 3 gallon bucket and the one that looks more like and indica). The 3 gallon bucket plant was at a PPM of 5000ish so I made sure to get it more in line with the other two, and with the partial water change I got it to around 2000. The other plants are sitting at right about 3000. I will continue to monitor the plants and check PPM, if it doesn't go down next week I think I'll do another partial water change. I want to keep pumping in nutrient while preventing any burn or lockout. Trichomes are no observable on the two plants in larger buckets. The smaller bucket plant was the last to sprout, so it's about a week or two behind the others. This week has been pretty poor weather where I'm at. Lots of rain and clouds. I've kept the plants under cover but still in direct sunlight. This coming week is supposed to be clear sky again so I'll move them to capture the most light once the rain stops. I know defoliation is debatable, especially with outdoor grows, but I like to push boundaries. Here's a list of the things I've done with this grow: - kratky method hydroponics (other than a partial water change I have added no water since starting in buckets, no airstone, no pump) - Winter grow (shortest light period of the year here) - Topping (and it looks like one is more like FIMing, also one grew as if it were topped without my input) - Dense nutrient load (I've added more nutrient in this grow than any grow I have previously done. Mostly because I never achieved super large buds and I'm really aiming for that this time) - Water change (like an aquarium, I've never done a water change other than flush before, this week called for it with the high PPM which I think was residual from nutrient loading in veg so I wanted to make sure there's room for the flower nutes) - Defoliation/pruning (nothing too crazy or drastic, started this week and don't plan to trim again unless I see a need to)
