Started the flush just waiting on the trichomes ambering up mostly cloudy now just wait till about 20% amber until harvest will keep you all updated. Happy growing👨‍🌾

This week we are seeing the girls starting to flower, mixed in a gaia green topdress and chopped it up into the sand, then adding another layer. The sand really does a number on the fungas gnats. Going to do some lollipopping and lots of defolation. Trying to pick and chose which colas to bring to the end. I cant wait to see what this looks like when its filled with bud. After I train tonight its going to be hands off completely besides watering.

So the increase in feed is going well and the plants are drinking more and more. I measured the heights of them and adjusted the lights as one of them was not level. might have been that way since last adjustment, I kept hearing some poping noises coming from the tent so could have been that as well. #1 33cm #2 28cm #3 27cm #4 18cm #5 38cm #6 43cm #4 is much shorter then the rest of its peers, but we will see how it goes long term. As I though some slight yellowing on leaf tips but nothing crazy, PH going in at 6.2 coming out at 6.49 not bad, matching the trend in EC difference. EC going in at 1.4 coming out aorund 1.0 So might want more food but more frequently vs more at one time. I could try and get into a new watering routine but I really don't want to. Something easy maybe to mix up a jug that I just give them between normal watering that has light feed in it and will not get runoff with it. The runoff to prevent salt buildup can come from the main watering. Also found a weird looking something growing on plant #3 medium. Took some photos of it. Looks alien. going to let it grow, that plant is doing fine.

Week 20/5 - 26/5 Final days!

day 7 Flowering: Hi all . It has been the start of their flowering this week and the initial stages of their stretch period. Time to exploit the burst of growth and set them in position for full light absorbing relaxation. The less stress to get light , the more focus on creating the beauty in flowering hopefully. I took some time to do a clear out of the small scrappy growth low down the stems to focus on the happy growing bud sites higher up. With their shape and size , the flowers would have been within the ball shapes and unable to develop properly. The shape of the plants from the tip spreading is very helpful now. I am able to tuck the really big powerhouse fans , underneath the developing lowers. This supports the lower growth to head higher but also keeps the main stem powered by the very important big fans. As these are autoflowers and able to use the available light through the huge fans , it can only be beneficial to keep them as long as possible while they are not blocking anything. The difference between the strains is noticable more now with the Strawberry Pie wanting to spread her branching more . Tip spreading has kept them smaller but their nature still has them wanting the long node lengths and cluster bud structures as opposed to long donkey di#ks. The other strains have benefited more from it and in particular, the #2 Six Shooter has an amazing amount of hopeful mains all fighting for focus so should be a good example of how tip spreading really works to create productive , squat beasts. Fingers crossed.lol They are still being fed just water with no additional boosts beside the last top dressings. I will be watering again with the biosys tea but they look so happy and green that I wont be adding any other products unless I notice a need. Cal.mag being the exception as I want to avoid the expected deficits from using l.e.d , before it can slow anything down in repair/recovery. The light is covering them all perfectly and with the height still to be lowered after the stretch is done , I know from previous Mars lights, the big solid nugs will appear.... I have used a video to show the past weeks growth rather than the usual pics and hope this will be more interesting than having to scroll pics. I also noticed a few leaf miners among the other plants and suspect we have some migration here too. Not too serious as yet but before it gets too bad , I used a store bought spray ( organic) to hopefully get to grips before they do. Failing this , a good smoke bomb might be used. Due to prolonged bad weather, I decided to harvest them to avoid mold and other damage. There were three of us, and it took around 6 hours to trim about 80% of both plants. I ended up with a yield of 205 grams dry per plant. I'm more than satisfied with the plants. For my first grow, I couldn't be happier.

This gurl is done! She smells and feels sticky buds are not huge how I wanted but I take into consideration I use very little fertilizers and she started turning yellow and leaves dying!

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Week 3.

THURSDAY 12/20: Beatrice is still packing on the pistils, but it's a race between her buds finishing and all her leaves all falling off. I watered her today with just bembe, calimagic, bud candy, and terpinator. I'll give her Cha Ching in a couple days..and maybe again once before I start flushing her. FRIDAY: The new evaporative cooler is working pretty well in the tent. High temp was 84f with it running on medium and with ice in the reservoir. That's a win. I suspect that when I need to run the other two 85w bar lights it will be pushing 90f again unless I run it on high. RH is is staying between 38% and 45%, which is another win! SATURDAY: I fed her about a gallon of full-strength bloom nutes and extra bembe/terpinator and cha ching. SUNDAY: Photo session! She's getting closer now...I may start flushing her on next water day.😋

In the third week of the cannabis flowering stage, I have been working to reduce deficiencies. I used PK 13-14 for the first time at a very low dose. Humidity is consistently at 55%, temperature is maintained between 23-24 degrees Celsius, and I am following a 12-hour light/dark cycle. 🔄 I welcome any tips!
