Its been a busy week in Fat Zappa's Garden, hence another late update. I am no longer concerned about the gold patches on the plants, there has been a little more since the past update, particularly around the edges of some of the leaves but not much at all and it certainly doesn't appear to be anything serious so my fears have eased much in that regard. The three older ladies in this grow are coming to the end of day 32 as I type this update, and have grown into fairly big plants over the past week or so. Despite having low stress training applied every two or three days they now stand around a foot tall. Not quite as tall as their Fastbuds label mate, the Wedding Cheesecake I am growing in Canna Coco and the same dry amendments, which stands an inch taller than these three sisters, but then she is nine days younger. These three girls are certainly more fuller plants though, and the past few days have seen the white hairs begin to appear, particularly on the bud sites, which have also began to turn light green, and the stem on one of these girls begin to turn more 'vine like' in texture. Remaining on a schedule of about 2.5 litres of dechlorinated, aerated water of PH 6.4, day 28 also saw the garden revitalised by their usual tipple being replaced for an aerated compost tea of 2 cups of Worm Castings, 2 tablespoons of Alfalfa Meal, 2 tablespoons of Kelp Meal, and 1 tablespoon of Bat Guano in a cheese cloth bag, and placed in a UK 5 Gallon bucket with 2 tablespoons of Molasses mixed into the dechlorinated water I had aerated for 24 hours, and then brewed it for about 26 hours. It may just have been a well timed coincidence, but I do feel like the plants have shown a spurt of growth since receiving it, particularly the runt of these Mrs Banners, who received her first session of low stress training on day 30. Prior to this spurt of growth I was not going to perform any LST on her cos she just seemed way to small but has really filled out in the past week, although remains a very short specimen compared to her sisters, and the Wedding Cheesecakes who are 2 days younger than her. I am starting to think something may have gone awry when I mixed my soil up, as the two pots which I struggled to germinate the initial seeds in, one which failed completely, have not seemed to thrive as much as the other four plants. When I mixed the initial mix into the 5 Gallon pots I did it in two batches, yet filled the all the pots a scoop at a time along a row so it does seem strange. I think next time I will mixed the medium with the dry amendments and castings a pot at a time to gain more control and see if things improve. Also, in preparation for feeding the compost tea I did have a trim around the bottom of the larger plants as watering has become more difficult with all my wires and tucked leaves etc, which I immediately regretted, but actually, like I say, the plants seemed to have had a boost over the past few days so I am happy no harm has been done. The lights are now running at the full 450w and set to around 25 inches from the top of the canopy. I have also increased the airflow through the intake fan, the canopy fans are both on high, my two 40 watt fans are now running on medium, and my AC Infinity T6 turned up to three on the OFF setting. My heater and humidifier remain on full on the environment has remained stable despite the ramping up of the light to full blast. Lastly, day 32 began with a top dressing for all these plants, with the larger ladies showing signs of pre-flower. They got heaped portions of 1/2 cup of Worm Castings, 1/3 cup Dr Forest Organics 284 Bloom, and a table spoon of Dr Forest Organics Veg dry amendments which I mixed in as best I could with all my LST wires etc, and then watered at PH level 6.4. I'd like to mix the PH up a little more between 6.2 and 6.8 but it always seems to come out 6.4. I will endeavour to update the pages for the two Wedding Cheesecakes as soon as time allows. little defoliation

Decided I was going to do this 100% organic down to the Ph up and down is Nectar of the God's, I've added in some living soil which I haven't used in over a year to aide the plant even more organically. Plant showed some stress from transplant so I gave it a foliar feed after a day or so and its back to life, I felt the plant was moving extremely fast while still not competing a week of veg so I moved it early to not slow down its growth. Looking forward to the next 5 weeks of veg.

La nothern light est dans un gobelet en carton pré-percé : pour constater, ce qui est le plus efficace. Mes doutes maintenant, se porte sur l'arrossage, j'ai peur du surarrosage. Et je me doute que si il n'y a pas assez d'eau que ça cause un retard de croissance. donc je mets peu d'eau. la temperature extérieur monte espérons que ça le fasse^^

Flowering day 35 Today the tent was cleaned, the humidifier refilled and both plants sprayed with Canna Cure :-). Flowering day 36 Both were poured today with 1.2 L per pot 🙂. Both were also checked for their health and pests 👍. Everything looks great 🙏🏻. Flowering day 37 Again the tent was cleaned and fresh osmosis water was filled into canisters. Flowering day 38 Today 1.5 l per pot was poured so that some drainage comes out again. therefor two days are not poured 😋. Flowering day 39 The tent was cleaned, the humidifier was filled, both plants were checked for vitality and the entire electronics were checked for functionality. Flowering day 40 Today both were sprayed again with Canna Cure and checked. Flowering day 41 We have reached the last day of this week and again 1.2 L were poured per pot and the tent was cleaned 👍. Its finally done! So on the next days buds will continue to dry regularly in their jars. The total weight of the two wedding cake was (82g)..on the next few weeks I will continue to check their weight, while the total weight of their trim was 34.1g which i will use them asap in order to wash some hash. I did some tests with some small buds to feel the flavors and get an idea of what I would expect.. I was struck by how different the two wedding cakes are. with both the smell and the look of the buds. I will post other updates with photos in the coming days! Thanks fam for the support! 💚

12/17/2021 They are growing well,#1 will be eliminated she is a runt, and way to far behind her sisters in growth, so culling her tomorrow. Ps. #1 sprang back to life! No sign of sex yet but soon I hope, as I was hoping for a short veg. More pics of #2-#8 in a.m. Pretty cool to see plants know when lights going to out, and leaves look lower (drooping) about an hour before light shuts off !. Getting ready for (sleep)? Pics 1-8 at lights on and leaves starting to reach for the sky (waking up) Plants are about 31 days old and should start to show signs of sex.

Canopy filling out nicely. Still on the veg feed but flower is nearly out so just gonna too up the tanks then change to bloom nutrients in the next few days. Roots looking good.

Hectic week. Had some plumbing issues in the house so sorry for late update but the cal mag seems to be working. Last week I add any Nutes. It will be just flushing for the next two weeks. Left plant is maturing at a faster rate but nothing we cant handle! Really looking forward to Harvest time!

Wish the buds would have got a little bigger but feel like that’s particularly my fault for a short Veg but overall I am blow away by the outcome for all the seeds to just be random bag seeds! 2 of the plants are drying now 3rd one will be cut tomorrow & the other 2 got probably 2 more weeks! Will do a taste & smoke report and also give a weight as soon as they dry & cure a little bit but honestly couldn’t be happier with my first grow! Thanks for all the support & help along the way & happy growing friends!🤙🏼✌️🏼🌱 Update on 1st plant - dry weight 42g, still smelled pretty Earthy when I put it in the jar but the smell is definitely coming out now, extremely sticky & frosty buds❄️: 1:🏼🙏🏼 Update - plant 2 Dry weight was 40 grams! Extremely happy with the out come this is honestly some of the best bud I have ever smoked! Amazing to me this came from a random bag seed, it has a very citrusy flavor, smells & smokes amazing! Honestly a 10/10 in my book, wish I could knew what strain this was so I could grow it again!😫❄️✌️🏼🌱 Update - plant 3 Dry weight 34g, smells & look phenomenal, the buds are much smaller & had the smallest yield so far but this is by far the best smelling so far! Will have a smoke update on this one soon, stay tuned friends & happy growing!✌️🏼🌱 Update - plant 5 dry weight was 52g it dried a little faster than plant 4 which I will probably jar tomorrow! -Clones have been transplanted into 3.5" pots. The sixth plant eventually rooted however it was the smallest, was a backup, so I did not bother to transplant it. -Megacrop amounts above are actually g/gal, not tsp/gal. I do wish Grow Diaries would add mass for us dry soluble nutrient addicts. -Mother is doing fine, I took a second set of cuttings off her for a local buddy who would like to grow her out as well. -The mother has also given me a good idea of what to expect later on in veg when I begin training. -Grow will eventually be planted in 5-gal fabric pots then moved to a 4x4 tent w/ Autopots and a 650w 3000K LED Bars for further training and flowering. -I intend on offsetting the transplants, bending the girls over for LST, and eventually train under a scrog net in the flower tent. The mother seems to support this training as that is what I did with her to reduce height yet maximize the number of cuttings I could harvest quickly.
