trimmed and netted the plants last night, 12/30, and the energy pushed the plants to stretch another 1/2 inch+ this will be the last week of vegetation as I prep this light leaking tent for flower, not a fan of mars hydro at all right now. their poles are the weakest I've encountered yet, too many light leaks and this is the first grow with it. My high cfm fan , which is only a 4", is pulling the fabric too much and causing the leaks to grow a bit. This is not new, its been happening with indoor tents for a while now but I thought a grow company such as MH would have a decent, respectable tent. My solution is Blackout Curtains draped over the sides. However, I am hesitant to do this with the MH tent as the poles for the tent are too weak as it is, tsk tsk tsk mars hydro. will continue to increase the watts the next 6 days HAPPY NEW YEAR a combination of light and fresh soil has made the plants stretch so I will finish tightening up the MH tent today and ill start flower tomorrow, day 62. while adjusting the height I must have nudged the dial for the dimmer and sent it to 184w. this would have been a big jump but manageable but I lowered the light 7" and the plants took a bit of a hit. I adjusted the light back down to 160w and I'll let the plants recover before anymore adjustments.

Pictures are taken 20 mins after watering left the soil to dry out. The plant on left that is further ahead doing good noticed cal mag issues on plant on right not to worried as reaching harvest time soon anyway but still added some with watering just to be safe . Other than that pretty happy

What is good fellow gardeners, So our jungle tour has come to an end and what can I say, it was a joyful ride in all ways. It had it’s ups and downs like many of my other grows but I still think growing is the best hobby. This last week we let the last two girls ripen completely and at the end of the week we harvested them. This time the drying took place in several stages, which turned out to be a good idea. First we hung them up for 3 days with leaves then trimmed and let them dry again for another 8 days. The scents and aromas were preserved in their perfect state which was the basis for the later smooth smoke experience. After an overall problem-free vegetative stage, there were some minor hiccups during the flowering period. We lost quite a few large flowers due to bud rot. The oscillation function of the fan broke precisely during the last critical period of flowering, which could obviously have contributed to this. There was a slight light leak at the zipper which may have caused stress to the first two plants. That’s why they had to be taken down 2 weeks earlier than the other two. Trichomes were fully milky with a few clear so wasn’t a big issue tho. This two showed similar characteristics in terms of taste and bud structure. A sweet and spicy taste with a hint of chocolate. Buds are dense and rock hard. One pheno turned out deep purple and had a bit slightly burnt sweet fruit cake taste. Buds are solid and rock hard. The last pheno is more spongy yet hard but not really compact. This one has the most sweet and fruity taste with a well balanced high. I would recommend this strain for those who loves fruity varieties. However sometimes can be hard to manage during flowering. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this jungle trip. D32 - The first day in the first week of flower. D34 - I gave her 1.2-liters of compost tea @ pH 6.5. I'm not sure yet, but I suspect that the thrips in my other tent have made it over here. No definite proof, though, so I might just be imagining things. Yesterday, I turned on the UV on my light. It's a bit early for this girl, but the other girl in the tent is three weeks further along and can use some UV. D35 - It looks like the thrips have made it into the tent :( The good news is that there's currently only damage on one leaf, so I removed it. Let's hope the predatory mites do their thing. D38 - The last day in the first week of flower. Not much to report. She must be stunted, considering how small she is. I have no idea why, as she looked happy and healthy throughout the grow. Maybe I screwed up when I transplanted her, or maybe there's something with the soil after all.

Bit of a crazy week so I changed her nutes 8 days later instead of 7. 12/22- 3 gallons, did 1.5 ml/gal of micro instead of usual 1.9 ml/gal bc I know she's sensitive to nitrogen so we'll see how she does. forgot to write down ppm. I think it was 600-650. Looking healthy. RIP Ellie. I love you.

05/12/21 - PRE FLOWER: The plants have certainly grown in size and most bud sites are showing the beginnings of pistils. - Some leaves have purple spots - This could be phosphorus deficiency. I am feeding a healthy dose of blooming nutrients - so this could be a heat issue as the temp does get below 20 often. I have decided to invest in a heat mat. Had to defoliate some bud sites on some plants as I was an IDIOT and but a blow fan heater close to warm up - so I have lost some bud sights maybe 10% overall - lesson learnt. I hope this hasn't stressed the plants out too much. Lights are at 100% brightness.

Getting taller, getting bushier, very thirsty girls! Feeding nutrients every 2-3 days depending on moisture retention in the soil, follwed by flushing with ph balanced h2o every 2-3 days

End of Week 6 Added CO2 with regulator and controller! Added the trellis net to spread out the canopy and get more even light to bud sites. The ladies have lost some momentum and they're drinking less because of the pest issue. Although they should be growing faster because of the CO2 supplementation I'm sure when the thrips are gone they will explode. I also performed some HST by removing fan leaves and softly pinching and bending some of the stems to open up the canopy whilst keeping the stress at a minimal. Pest Report: Still fighting the thrips... Every time I spray Bio-Insek and Xterminator (Agro-Organics) it deals with the problem for a few days until the eggs and larvae that the thrips left behind hatch and start munching on the plants again. The ladies are strong and healthy and get a slight wilt when I haven't sprayed IPM for a few days this tells me that its not a major issue but I need to get rid of them especially because I want to flip to flower soon. It seems that the problem is under control. Now I will apply it weekly to make sure those buggers are ELIMINATED.

Another good week for this lady. Temps were high, but she handled it like a champ. Because she is so beastly and only in a 4 gallon pot, I’m watering about 1 gallon of water every 3 1/2 days. The dry back seems to be better if I don’t wait till the 4 th day. Buds are developing nicely, and stacking really well. I’m going to have some decent sized colas. Frost is coming along nicely too. She has a Kush smell with some sandalwood at the moment… Temps were floating around 82 degrees this week, with RH around 55-58%. Plucked a few more fan leaves, but otherwise just a slight turn each time I check on the tent. Happy Gardening

Another solid week in the books, and the last one UKBS 2 will spend in the tent. Today I intended to start hardening the selected plants that will go outside, but when watering UKBS 2 I found it was growing roots out the bottom of the pot and into it's drain tray. So, I had to replant it into the 15gal and will be taking it in and out of the back door until the weather's nice enough overnight to just leave it out. The Carl plant I had taken out to harden was very pissed off with me for doing so, and perked up near-immediately when I took it back in. It's too bad it doesn't like the outside as it's going to be spending a good amount of time there. I treated with diatomaceous earth in an attempt to not bring any unwanted insects into the tent. Both UKBS 2 and Carl 2 will be going in and out every day for approximately the next month while temperatures improve. Inside the tent, UKBS 1 seems very happy to finally have some light. UKBS 2 was very large and encroaching inside there, and blocked nearly all of its light. More updates will come throughout the week, as always. -4/17/2021 - Noticed a small hole at the main stem near the top node on UKBS 2. Dusted with diatomaceous a little bit just in case, will keep a very close eye on it. Hoping it's not a caterpillar or stem borer, and just a breakage. -4/20/2021 - Happy 4/20! Week 3 for the solo is officially complete. She's been growing with no trouble. Root development has been excellent. As you can see, I decided to mainline. Seeing as she's in a solo cup, I'm not too worried about stunting. I'm horrible at measuring the water intake, but the cup needs to be watered daily. It's as lite as a feather everyday.
